"The accessory that I ordered -- a plug for the trailer hitch to keep it clean and free of debris, etc. when the StowAway2 Max is not in use -- arrived quickly. Only problem is that it is a cheap piece of plastic that probably won't last very long. Poorly designed as well, with the risk of being broken due to how it sticks out.

The original piece of equipment - the StowAway2 Max -- is a nice cargo carrier. However, it, too, is overpriced. Plus the instructions are poor in that they do not tell you that if you ordered accessories, you need to read the instructions for the accessories before assembling the product. But, it is necessary to do so. Instead, the instructions for the accessories tell you to take the product back apart so that you can add the accessories!! What a time and effort waster. Plus, the manufacturer didn't include all of the hardware for the accessories that I purchased. It was cheaper to go to a local big box store and buy the missing bolts and nuts.

All in all -- the StowAway2 Max is a nice product. It is over-priced -- even on sale (which it was when I bought it). The accessories for it are WAY over-priced. "

"I have just returned from my first trip using the swing-away mounted Stowaway2. It was a real life saver on the trip carrying my wife, her son and daughter-in-law and two grandkids. Never would have been able to haul the STUFF in my van only. The Stowaway is far more conveinient than a car top carrier and holds far more. Had some initial problems with the light hook-up but they were entirely my fault. The customer service they provided was excellent. I would recoment the Stowaway to any of my friends and relatives that travel. My wife heard about it from her daughter who has one and has had it for several years. She's also very pleased with it."
