"We saw one of Steve's Blinds and Wallpaper television commercials and decided to give them a call since we need to order blinds for our entire home. Jackie answered the phone and was incredibly polite and extremely helpful. I gave her all of our measurements and was shocked by how much less Steve's Blinds was for the exact same Levolor Blinds that we were quoted at Lowes. It was almost $750 less for all of our blinds. We ordered them with Jackie and they arrived within 7 days (they didn't even charge any shipping charges). My husband just finished putting them up and we love them. We are now going to place an order for my husband's mother's home. It is going to help freshen up the place - she is going to love them. Thanks Steve for the great blinds but more importantly for saving us close to $750!

"This is the 2nd time we have purchased blinds from Steve's Blinds and Wallpaper. The first time we went to their showroom in Sterling Heights. We just needed a blind for our son's room (dog destroyed the old blind). Their selection was great and the salesperson was extremely knowledgeable. We got the room darkening cellular shades with the cordless top down bottom feature. We were surprised by how affordable it was. Once we received the blind my husband installed it in about 15 minutes. Quality is great. So much so that we decided to do a bunch more windows. This time we called and asked for a blind specialist to come to our home with samples and to measure our windows. Sandi came out to our home within 2 days of calling - she brought all of her samples. She was great. We ordered 10 more blinds and within 10 days they were at our house and this time we had their installer put the blind up. They are marvelous. Having Sandi come to our home was so easy and there wasn't any extra charge to have her come. If you need blinds this is the place. Have them come to your home and make sure you ask for Sandi. "

"In spite of some negative views I have to say I had a positive experience with this company. The blinds I ordered arrived within a reasonable amount of time. They were well packaged and in great condition. The product is of good quality and was easy to install with the included instructions. The price was also very low. Communication was excellent. I would shop them again."

"Ships in 3 days??? Bull pucky! I placed an order on 11/07. The order finally shipped on 11/14. The order arrived on 11/18, taking four days to travel 100 miles. When I unpackaged the blinds, the tracks were bent and unusable. Customer services was very nice and asked that I email the photos of the damage and they would order replacements. Two weeks later on 12/02 the replacements arrived. However instead of tracks, they had sent valances. Funny, the photos very clearly showed damaged tracks. It's now 12/7 and I'm no closer the getting blinds. They now say the manufacture isn't telling them anything. I wanted the blinds for Thanksgiving. I think I'll be lucky to get them by Easter. "

"I ordered some blinds and est shipping was for 11/14. I send them an email around this date inquiring about the shipping. But no response for 2 weeks. I contacted them on 11/28 and at that point they told me there was some miscommunication between Steve's Blinds and manufacturer and they will expedite the order. But expedite for them meant 2 more weeks and shipping at a regular speed. If I wanted it sooner, I would have to pay more. I spoke with the supervisor Kahl S., who was extremely rude and behaved like they were doing me a favor by "expediting" the order. I am still waiting for a shipping date."

"I had a "HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE" experience with STEVE'S BLINDS AND WALLPAPER!!!! BEWARE!!!

place my order of almost $400.00 on August 24th and received my order later than promised.... that was ok but they do not stand behind their guarantee! A lady helped me place my order over the internet and phone, she was very helpful..... but the NIGHTMARE began afterwards... :cry . They sent me the wrong size blinds, I called in and they said they would get back with me in a few hours! :sigh NOTHING FOR OVER 2 WEEKS! called again and spoke with a lady and she said she would have her supervisor look into it and call me back within 24 hours! NOTHING FOR OVER 2 MORE WEEKS!!!!! :( . CALLED today and spoke with CAL a supervisor.... He was VERY RUDE! SMART BUT ! AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE! HE basically told me I was at fault and when I asked him why it has taken over a month and nobody has attempted to help me, he replied they sent me an E-mail over a month ago!!! :( ... while I told them I was at a rental home! I asked him what day I had placed my order and he replied August 24th then I said what is todays date? """ HE RUDELY REPLIES..... DO YOU NOT KNOW THE DATE???? ... :( ... I AM APPALLED AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! AND THE UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCT OF THIS COMPANIES EMPLOYEES! ... I said sir.... I asked you to prove my point of how long it had been! "THEN HE RUDELY REPLIES: " SO YOU KNEW THE DATE AND YOU ASKED ME ANYWAYS???? .... HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY AND EMPLOYEES TO DEAL WITH!!! PROBLEM IS STILL UNRESOLVED! "I was disappointed with this company as they sent me a different color blind than i ordered, and then even after sending photos, they have not admitted it. The blinds were good quality and everything else was great, but so discouraging that they wouldn't even admit to sending the wrong color."

"Ordered faux blinds from StevesBlinds over the internet. I mean to tell you they were so helpful! Christina stayed on line in chat for an hour and a half to answer all my concerns, then completed the order. We had just installed a new 8 foot Bay, 3 window, and didn't want to pay 50% of the cost of the new window, in blind purchase and installation. We received some outrageous quotes from local vendors. Steve's helped us with our Garber Premium purchase, and we installed them ourselves for one eighth of the cost of the window. Everything arrived on time, they kept us in the loop. Next Spring we are going to order 7 more and put them up the same way. Don't be afraid to try this yourself. If you want quality, peace of mind, and money in your pocket, by all means, give StevesBlinds a chance. Happy in Pennsylvania

"We were skeptical about buying blinds on the internet. We found Steves Blinds. Their prices were over $750 less than home depot for the identical levolor blinds. We spoke with Lucy who was incredibly helpful 5x before we ordered. We received our custom blinds in 5 days! We will recommend Steves Blinds to all of our friends."

"Have ordered twice from Steve's, and have been pleased with the window coverings we've received. Their prices are excellent compared to local department and big box stores, especially if you catch their sales when when offer an extra 10% or 15% off coupon. Not sure why the reviews are negative. We measured our windows carefully, and the cellular blinds and vertical blinds we've ordered fit and look great."

"Despite the negative ratings on the web, I was totally delighted with my transaction with Steve's Blinds and Wallpaper. I ordered a total of 6 Levolor 1" premium wood blinds in differing lengths and widths. There was a total of 3 different orders placed via the Internet, several days apart on the web. One such order is referenced above.
After ordering, I got an immediate confirmation and then a shipping estimate. Each order was a little late in being shipped by Levolor from a Western U.S. location. When each ordered shipped, a Fedex tracking number was emailed to me and each order arrived as scheduled and in good condition. No surprises. The blinds look beautiful and Steve's price was considerably less than that of other Internet vendors.

"Don't use this store!
Vertical Blind mounted inside a window.
It doesn’t get much worse than this. I order my blind to be mounted in the window. I measure the window opening and order it. I assumed that during the manufacturing process they would reduce the size vertically and horizontally so it would fit in the window opening . At least that has been my experience any time I have ordered a blind. It gets here, I install it and it’s to long vertically. The veins/slats are dragging when I open or close it. I call and get put on hold while they check it out. The rep says they have made it “according to order” in other words the actual dimension of the window. I tried to explain to the rep and her supervisor what the problem was but they couldn’t wrap their minds around the fact that it’s to long. Finally the rep says that they would cut it down for me for a cutting fee. Well the fee was 40% more than I paid for the entire blind. The supervisors solution was to cut the slats at their “cost” which turns out to be 8 dollars less than another blind. Am I satisfied with Steve’s, heck no. I should have gone to a brick and mortar store. At least they would have had the common sense to reduce the opening dimensions to reduce fit problems.100% dissatisfied.

"I was hesitant to order from one of these middle-man blinds companies like Steve's or American, especially after reading love/hate reviews elsewhere. But the price at Steve's was unbeatable at $278 to cover a five-window bay window in custom Levolor faux wood blinds. One of the blinds was complicated, involving a 3-on-1 headrail with custom widths for each segment.

The experience could not have been better! Steve's offered free shipping, even on the oversized (105") blind. They arrived in 10 days from the time of order, and since it was large freight, UPS called ahead to arrange delivery. The blinds were undamaged and perfect. Highly recommend Steve's/Levolor.
