"I used Sprintax multiple years, and one year, I filled the form and paid as usual. A few days after I still hadn't received the form filled, so I forgot about it (yes, my fault), till I realized... one year after! Meaning Sprintax does not even have a quality control to make sure they send form. When I complained one year after, they did then send the form, but never agreed to reimburse.
In general, the software is not really good, not linked to federal form so you need to reenter a lot of detail, a asks some information from year to year (guess what, my birth date does not change!). "
"I got my tax forms filled, and these were 98% accurate.
Pros
- I got the reimbursement from the IRS and the state.
- The were responsive and gentle when I contacted them by email. They took 1-2 days to reply, but they did it.
Cons
- The form is quite long, and the user interface quite old. In particular, you feel that you add more information than you should. They should review it.
- It's uclear how the date is placed into the form. I remember struggling with my entrance/leaving from the EEUU.
- In the end, I had to amend certain dates on the federal form because they were incorrectly parsed from the form.
Advise to newcomers
Would not add the add-on on additional support by phone, unless my case is pretty complicated.

"I used the platform and filled out the form according to the SINTRAX guide. I requested the address for sending my statement, the address received was: Department of the Treasury. International Revenue Service. Austin TX 73301-0215 in USA. To date I have not received notification of the correct receipt of my statement.Therefore their services do not help to close the process."
"I filled out all required information on the platform, but they filled my state tax form wrongly by putting my bank account number as routing number and vice versa (oddly they got it right for the federal tax form). I contacted Sprintax after finding out about this but the customer service didn't respond to me for weeks and the final answer was't helpful at all. I had to personally contact the FTB multiple times to fix the issue, and my refund was delayed for months."
"They lied to me, made me pay for some taxes that I didn’t have to do (FICA taxes). After that, they said that it is my fault because I provided them wrong information... what a lie!!! I tried to find out a solution with them but they haven’t given me any solution.
Anyways, after more than 6 months, I didn’t receive my federal taxes and they don’t help me with this either. They say that their service is only the papers that they gave me at the beginning.
To resume, I paid around 100$ to them for the taxes and I only received 11$ from the federal ones. No state taxes and FICA either and they don’t want to help me.

"I used their service for my both federal and state tax return and also paid for future follow up with IRS package. Later on I received multiple letters from IRS so I decided to contact sprintax. No one; literally no one answered any of my phone calls or my email. It goes to voice mail. I left bunch of voice mails but no one got back to me. I think this whole company is a ridiculous joke that is only based on an online platform with no actual tax expert."

My case: I spent $25 only to get NOTHING from them.
I have completed everything in their system and the process showed 100% completed in middle March. But they NEVER FILED MY TAX. All they told me to do was to go through all the steps again by simply clicking "Next" button, which did not help at all. Agent Alexandra said she labeled my case as "Urgent" on April 3rd and promised that I would hear from them 2-3 days later. They totally disappeared and it is April 15th, the deadline, today.
WORST customer service ever. They did not really reply to your questions and would ghost you. Phone call never makes it through them. All you can get from them is another meaningless "few days" wait. And guess what, they are RUDE.
**Tip for those who may find it useful: states like NY provide free online tax software if your annual income is less than a certain amount of money, for non-resident aliens too. It is free and quick, and they provide real human support. Check it out on your state's official website before you try Sprintax. And most importantly, AVOID SPRINTAX AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!

"I am on a student visa applying for the tex year 2018 in 2019 with Sprintax. I paid for their federal and state tax services but never got my state tax returns generated. I had to constantly call them and email them to get their response. I even had questions regarding my Federal tax Returns as I have an HSA account and I didn't know how SprinTax was dealing with it. After several exchanges of emails and email chains, they then tell me that SprinTax doesn't support my tax return and that I had to contact their parent company. I am now trying to reach out to them and they aren't replying to calls or to emails. The tax submission deadlines are here and they are being extremely unprofessional. "
