Their Order Fulfillment leaves a lot to be desired! I ordered 2 sets of shelves on 4/10/11 in black. One week later I received 2 sets of shelves in white - wrong color. I called customer service and spoke with a very friendly and helpful rep. Soon after I was emailed a new order confirmation (at zero cost) for the replacement shelves. One week later, I received only 1 set instead of the 2 ordered. I went to the order tracking hoping that one box was lagging behind, but no, it says my order was delivered and is complete. Called customer service and again spoke with a nice and apologetic rep, but still need to wait another week for them to send my other box. Watch - it will be the wrong color again!! Can't say I'd order from here again."

"I have ordered several times from Smart Furniture, but my most recent order was for two of their 2'x2' bedside tables. Since I had already bought shelving from them, I knew the tables would be easy to put together, which they were, and have a great contemporary look, which they do. They were also on sale, so the price was especially nice. Delivery was fast (2 days) and items were well packaged. No problems. I placed my order online so my only interaction with customer service was when they caught my order being delivered to my billing address (a PO box) instead of my home address and emailed me to be sure of my intent. That saved me a hassle so kudos to them for that."

"I bought two Embody chairs from Smart Furniture in December 2010. Since one had dark casters they sent it anyways and then, at their expense, forwarded the translucent casters so I could receive both chairs together despite their in-stock situation at that time.

One chair had a broken arm due to factory or shipping issues. They resolved this perfectly and had another arm shipped.

They were great to work with - professional, friendly and competent. Pricing was good too.

I will be comfortable purchasing from this company again.

"I find it hard to believe SmartFurniture does not have any reviews here yet. In my search for ordering a new ergonomic office chair, I decided to go with them for their ease of customization directly on their website. To top it off, they offer a 30 day return/refund with shipping on their tab (longer than 30 days will just see you footing the shipping bill).

Once I did place an order, their customer service team kept me informed on the entire process. Even though my chair was slightly customized, they still managed to get it to me in what I would consider a very timely manner (7 business days).

However, I do not yet have any experience with their return department to test that excellent sounding return policy. I will update the review if I do. As for their ordering and shipping departments--top notch!"
