"As everyone has said, "should have moved to another site" immediately after seeing the rediculously low price....but I didn't. Placed an order, got confirmation with message to call to verify ordering etc, they atempted to upgrade, I refused, was told it would be shiopped out as ordered, only to get the cancellation notice the next day.
Called to discussed their methods of operation, discussed what a USA model would cost etc, and after being told of their insurance fee to mail out the package (free shipping and handling) but now an insurance fee of almost $50.00; I stated that I did not want the items discussed.
Within an hour I received an email confirming the new order, with the same order number as with the origional order, from two days previously, and cancelltion notice. As of ten minutes ago, I went onto their site and signed into my account only to see that the order still stands, ever though I have sent them two emails explaining that never placed the order, only discussed the upgrade.

The head quarter's for this firm, is in Brooklyn
New York, closed on Saturdays and open on Sundays, what a shame for those that know what I am refferring to,
Njl

"BAIT AND SWITCH! I, for some reason, have another order number as well, #YBQ-***-***-****. I wish I had read this web site before ordering from this company. I placed an order online for a Canon flash. A couple of days after placing the order I received a phone call from "Zak" asking what my camera is. When I told him, he told me the flash I ordered will not work on the American version of this camera. He advised that he had a better flash, with faster recovery time for a small amount more (about $50.00), and is designed to be used on my camera. He convinced me I should allow him to change the order. What I received today is a cheap imitation, with fewer options than the one I wanted. I called and spoke with "Kevin" who told me to return the flash would require a 15% restocking fee plus shipping. He suggested letting him send me a rapid charger, car charger and batteries, an "$80.00" value, to keep me happy with my purchase. I doubt I will receive those items, but I decided not to send them any more of my money by returning this flash. When I told "Kevin" that the same flash they sent me is on eBay, new in the box and sealed, for $100.00 less that Sky Point Digital charged me he said it was probably reconditioned or a gray item. I was scammed. "

"Bait and switch - There are so many of these popping up with high end electronics, and there is a way to fight. I know how these operations work. They are giant call centers, anywhere from a few to a few hundred people at a computer, using the name of several or even dozens of companies. A website, for example like BEST BUY is cloned many times. They change the name and color scheme to look original. They don't actually have any merch at all. They are drop shippers. The bait is a high end camera or something way underpriced. So low, that it directs all traffic away from legit sights. Then they upsell you with small accessories 50 -300% over retail. They order those from a best buy, send them to you, and keep the difference. The low priced item will always be "out of stock" or "back ordered", unless they have a used or stolen one, which some robbers will liquidate with these type of operations. You get the accesories, with nothing to use them on. BBB complaints do nothing. What can you do? Complain to your CC company. IF Visa or MC receive enough complaints, they will monitor them and even cancel their merchant account. If that happens, they are done. Their whole business is CC fraud, so with no account, they are out of business. Second, you can email corporate headquarters of Canon, Nikkon, etc. their advertisements. Knowing they don't sell inventory to them or that the prices advertised violate any contract, they will try to sue them or shut them down. They are stealing and diverting buisness from the companies they legally do business with. Everyone email your orders, ads, to the companies and contact your CC's, even you have been refunded, to file a complaint and get them shut down. They probably operate under many many names. A quite clever scam actually that anyone can do if they have a computer, even you. Most of these, or all operate out of FLorida, another flag to watch out for wit ANY online business. Due to their laws regarding lawsuits, if their operation gets sued, the damage will be far less than in any other state. Pay the extra and order fomr a known company with a physical store address that's not in FLA. Good luck consumers. Fight back and win."

"Bait and Switch.
I had a feeling it was too good to be true.

By all accounts, the 430EX II is meant to work with the Canon T1i. I ordered this at an unbelievably low price of $189, $60 cheaper than Amazon. I had to call to confirm the order, then they tried to sell me rechargable batteries for $40-60 and asked me why I ordered a flash that didn't work with my camera.

They don't have the version of the flash that they said I needed even available on their website. They are advertising products that you don't want at a very low price, and the products you do want aren't listed on their website.

This is a scam. I told him that Amazon had the flash for $248 and B&H had it for $280. He said those were the import versions and that I would never find the real flash that works with digital cameras for less than $300. The amazon product description specifically says it works with the digital SLRs and has E-TTL 2.

Skypoint digital is a scam. Don't bother messing with them. Any company who puts junk on their website under the same name as the products you are looking for at amazing prices, then makes you call them to upsell you on something that actually works is unethical.

"SkyPointDigital.com is a dishonest "Bait & Switch" company. We ordered a digital camera from the website, only to find out that that camera had been recalled by Sony months earlier (they should have known!), and then we were told that we could get an "upgraded" camera for $350 - turned out the camera was on sale at Best Buy for $199 & the "accessories" sent by SkyPointDigital.com were not as described. They also said that no Sony cameras were sold with batteries - a COMPLETE lie verified by Sony. We tried on several occassions to resolve this by offering to buy the camera without the extra $150 in add-ons or just send everything back & call it good. However, there was a $75 restocking charge(even on the first imaginery camera), so in short, we were outrageously overcharged and repeatedly treated rudely. I hope that the $150 SkyPointDigital.com made off of us makes up for having a reputation as a bait & switch company that SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're also filing a complain with the NY Attorney General's office."

"WOW, what a terrible experience, the bait and switch, the stress, the hassle, the threats, the lies, the manipulation, the sleepless nights,,,, everything that happened to all the others that left a review here happened to me to, I can't believe that these thieves are allowed to continue, the products have nothing to with with their business, it's only about scamming you out of your money,,, Bing.com led me to these thieves, Bing has them as a sponsored link, why does Microsoft support these blood sucking parasites???? I can only hope that Kevin and Chris end up in jail where they belong and suffer short and miserable life,,,, DLW"

"The above number is a cancellation. This is a bait and switch company. I was told the camera at that price was not a USA camera and was sold without a battery or charger and no english. This is not so on their web page. They are not honest. If there is some way to warn the public please let us all know."

"I recently ordered from Sky Point Digital. I fell for their bait and switch like everyone else. Same MO. They call after you order and try to sell you something "much better." When I received my order. I was told I was getting $2900 kit for only $1900. When I received my kit it wasn't even worth $1000. They were conveniently out of the office for 2 days. I called my bank, filed a complaint and got a temporary refund. Then I returned the camera, which cost more than their "insurance." I finally talked with Sky Point and Kevin was nasty. He called me a liar, hostile, and said I overreacted. He also told me I didn't know anything about photo equipment. He told me if I continued my complaint with my bank, that he would charge me a 20% restocking fee, plus "insurance instead of 10%. I told him I would pay the 10% to make it go away. He wanted me to send a money order via UPS then he would refund my money. Instead I filed another complaint with BBB and called the NY Attorney General office. I received a full refund within two days after I talked with Sky Point. By the way I was going to fight the restocking fee. They had not mentioned anything about this fee. NY says it must be on the front of the receipt. SkyPoint never sent me a copy of my receipt by e-mail nor mentioned it on the phone. I only saw it when I received my camera. It is on the website, but since they give "free shipping" you never see it. It's in Shipping and Returns. They are crooks and need to be stopped. Shame on them!"

"I should have checked here before ordering from these scumbags. I ordered a Nikon sb600 flash that they advertised for &179. The next day I got an email telling me to call to confirm. When I did they told me that this was a European model with no hotshoe attachment and would not fit my camera, the proper flash was $249. I told them to cancel the order. Now I have to check my credit card every day to make sure they haven't charged me.

"I just got ripped off today and wished that I checked this web site before making the order. Last night, I was ready to purchase a Canon VIXIA HF M31. I found that SkyPointDigital.com was offering it for $549.00 in the advertise section. After I went to the link, I purchased extra accessories with the camcorder so the total was $649.00. I was feeling great about my purchase. This morning, I got an email to call the company to confirm the order. I called and gave them my security code on my credit card. Then, the sales person was telling me that I needed a 5 hour battery rather than the extra 2 hour battery from the package. I told the sale person that I thought that the camcorder came with a battery and that I was getting the extra 2 hour battery for the package, but then the sales person said that the camcorder does not come with a battery. I could not understand why, but the sales person said that the $549 camcorder was a stripped down model that comes with no battery. So I agreed to pay an extra $60 for the 5 hour battery upgrade. I thought that I was done, but this was just the beginning of being lied to. Making me feel vulnerable, the sales person was asking me why I wanted to buy the model I ordered because it's a stripped down model that does not come with a battery charger. I told him that I thought the camcorder came with a charger, but the sales person said that the camcorder doesn't even come with a plug to charge the battery. At this time, I was getting worried. He also said that this camcorder was all in Japanese and that I should get the camcorder in English. So I agreed to the English camcorder. There were other things that I was lied to (such as the memory SD card and warantee) that I will not go into detail, but the sales person made me feel that I was getting a good deal and that he was doing me a favor. He also made me feel that there was an urgency to order at that moment for the good deal so I felt pressured, and I made the big mistake of accepting the order of $799. Since the shipping was free, the sales person he told me that I had to spend $65 on insurance. Now that I think about it, that is ridiculous. The total became $864. After I hung up with the sales person, I felt like I got cheated and called back to cancel. I had a hard time talking to anyone about this. There was no customer service. Then, I called to the original phone number and asked for sales so that someone would talk to me. The person I talked to was the original sales person. He said that I would have to pay a cancellation fee of $75. I was confused and scared so I told him that I would have to get back to him. After asking other people for advice and afraid that the company would send me a broken product, I called back and said that I will proceed with the cancellation thinking that I can protest the cancellation fee on my credit card. This sales person was trying to talk me out of this and made me feel guilty. When he figured out that I just wanted to cancel the order, he told me that he will do it as soon as I wire him the $75 or send him a money order. I couldn't believe this! It went from a nice purchase to a nightmare in less than one hour. I ended up arguing for awhile that I wanted to cancel the order without sending him the money order because I was not made aware of this fee when I made the order. The sales person kept telling me that he can't cancel the order until he gets the money. I requested to talk to the manager, but the sales person said that he was the manager. He told me that he cannot cancel the order unless he got the money order so he will proceed with sending me the item. I told him that I did not want him to send me the item because I did not want to pay for the 10% restocking fee and that I wanted to cancel the order. We ended the conversation without any resolution. Later in the day, I called back to try to argue some more, but someone else told me that the order was canceled. No one should have to go through the fear and nightmare that I had to experience today. I don't understand why shopping.yahoo.com allows this dishonest company to advertise on their web site."

"These guys are scum bags. They tried the bait and switch rountine on me = offering a third party "digital" lens worth under $200 for over $600 falsely claiming that it would get around the 1.6 magnification factor for a lens for the Canon 7D. The Canon people assured me this is in the camera's CCD NOT the lens; not any lens. When I insisted on the package they advertised, they tried to talk me out of it saying it the language would arrive as foreign and a dealer would have to "re-program it". The Canon people state this isn't the case; there are multiple in all cameras - a simple menu change. Then they said 6-8 weeks delivery due to back orders. It's been 8 weeks and when I called the putz on the line indicated "no guarantee" about the time frame, but they'd e-mail me when the stock arrived. This is a production camera. Canon assures me that there are no production delays or reason for overseas lags of this type. My intent was to outwait these creeps and make them deliver on their advertised deal. Canon assures me that, unlike Nikon, they will service ANY Canon camera as they are from the same factories. They will charge for any repairs with out honoring a warranty period on "over-seas" units, but they will fix them. I just ran out of patience and will spend twice the money from a reputable dealer. If anyone has the patience to out-wait them, good luck. This is their last hurtle to NOT have to sell Canon merchandise at the advertised price! BUT DON'T ACCEPT ANY OF THEIR BOGUS SUBSTITUTIONS. They will only rip you off!!!"

"I ordered the Canon 70-300 IS USM lens online, I received an email telling me to call and confirm the order, when I called they wanted to know what camera I was using when I told them it was a Canon Rebel XSI they told me this was not a digital lens and proceded to try and sell me a 70- 300 Sigma lens telling me this was a better digital lens and that it was on sale and would save me money. I refused the Sigma and said I wanted the Canon, later that day I received an email saying the lens was out of stock for 6-8 weeks and the order had been cancelled. I next ordered from Total Pro Digital and guess what it sounded like the same guy answered the phone and tried to sell me the Sigma again with the exact same spiel. I said no I want the Canon. I asked if they had it in stock and they confirmed it was, after not receiving a confirming email I called back the next day and was told it was on 6-8 weeks backorder and I cancelled the order. They are the same company, BUYER BEWARE"

"If you feel that there is something wrong you can contact the Federal Trade Commission. Since this is an internet company you can inquire with them. The BBB will do absolutely nothing. They only make a listing of this company (you can complain to them but the BBB is just a listing service and will not investigate). You can also make a complaint to your state's attorney general's office. If they get enough complaints from different states they will make this a federal case. good luck."

"I'm going to make this short.DO NOT BUY ANYTHING
I ordered a cannon speedlite 580ex11 for the fabulous price of $289.00. Zack did try to talk me out of this flash but I said this is the one I want. When I didn't get an email from them by this morning I decided to call them. I was then told it was on back order. I canceled the order and called my credit card company and canceled the credit card just in case they try to use my card # to charge on, it won't go threw. I wish I had seen this site before I ordered.
