"Truth be told, I am was very surprised at the experience I had with shadesemporium and my order process. The glasses I ordered were back ordered and were going to take longer than expected to receive. I was emailed right away and informed that I can call and work something out. The level of customer service I received far surpassed that of the mall stores I have dealt with. The issue was resolved and everything worked out perfectly. In fact if the sunglasses I received werent such good quality I would have ordered new glasses by now. 100% satisfaction and still in my bookmarks for when I need to order new sunglasses. Thank you for everything. hope all goes well... "

"Don't use them!!! I ordered a pair from them before Christmas and they sent me a deffective pair of Tom ford sunglasses then would not let me return them for another pair or give me a refund!I There supposedly 30 day return policy no matter what is a bunch of bull because they told me there was nothing they could do to help!! I'll never use them again and make sure no one else will either!!!"

"I was definitely satisfied with my experience with Frames Emporium; though at the beginning I was having doubts due to having to contact them in regards to when to expect shipment of my order, as it took about 7 days for them to ship them out...possibly because they were coming from the manufacturer. I sent them an email thru customer service and got a reply with 24 hrs. and felt better. They were sent out and received within 4 days. Once I received my 2 pr. of glasses, I exchanged one pair and had no problem receiving an authorized no. needed to return/exchange my glasses. They responded within 1-2 hrs. I am presently waiting for the exchanged pair and am confident I will be satisfied with them. I am also thinking about ordering another pair I liked online...the prices are definitely competitive with other online companies....though, I believe the prices may be lower due to many frames being discontinued 1-2 yrs. prior...which is OK. with me, as I still liked the frames and could not find them in my optical store in town as that style was discontinued. "

"I ordered shades a few days before Xmas.I knew the'd be late but after 3 weeks no glasses so I called & was told they were back ordered.We waited & still no glasses. We called again, the automated system requested that a message be left & stated someone from their co. would call back. Three times we called & left messages over a 2 wk period, no call back.Finally an online chat rep told me that they had been d/c'd. I wanted to know why no one had returned our calls. I was told the company has no public relations dept and that they never return calls to that phone number. I get that things happen but why didn't this company who claims to be so upstanding not contact me to advise that the item was no longer available.When i finally heard from a supervisor he did not want to discuss the customer relations issues he wanted only to discuss my order. I'm not a fan Shades Emporium.I wonder how many other unhappy campers are out there??"

"DO NOT USE! It's been 10 days and my order still hasn't been processed. 10 days! I had to call the "company" and navigate their maze of telephone automation only to find out my order will be another 2-3 weeks. Their customer service is terrible. Their communication is terrible. They are a second-rate sunglass broker. Even if their savings are legit - it's hardly worth the aggravation."

"I dropped and stepped on my favorite pair of sunglasses that I had bought in LA 2 years ago. Imagine how thrilled I was to find them on your website! Even sweeter...your price was $30 less than I had paid for the first pair. But wait...it gets even better...you also had 4 colors available. So I ended up with a replacement in my favorite color and an extra $30 in my pocket!"

"My first experience purchasing prescription eyeglasses online was truly a success thanks to Framesemporium. They have a dedicated staff who work with you until you are happy and never seem bothered by special requests and additional questions (and I ask a lot of questions). Because this was my first experience ordering prescription eyeglasses online, I did a good bit of research, and I was impressed by Framesemporium’s choice structure. They allow the customer to choose lenses and frames, unlike many of their online counterparts. When my glasses arrived, they walked me through the first week since the prescription and lenses were different than any I had, had before. They were passionate about making sure that the product was right and I was happy with the service. Overall this was a great experience and I am already looking forward to my next purchase with them."

"Just googled this site because I was concerned it was a scam since (1) I placed an order two weeks ago, paid $14.99 for "2-day express delivery", and still haven't recieved the sunglasses or even heard back from them with a tracking number, I've tried calling customer service 5 times and no one picks up ever, and my email of yesterday to customer services hasn't been responded to!

Well, glad to read the great reviews -- I'm relieved this is a legit business, but frustrated about my order. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift and is now super-late. Why offer and collect $15 for 2-day shipping when you can't come through?

Hoping I get my order soon... And hope they credit me for the shipping! I already feel bad that I'm giving a Xmas gift in mid-January.

"My Grandmother ordered a pair of sunglasses for me as a Christmas gift. The quality was great, it took a little longer than she would have liked, she ordered on it on 12/17/11, it arrived after Christmas. Unfortunately for me she ordered the wrong style. I have been trying to contact them for over a week now and have not been able to get a hold of a live person. I have emailed them, submitted a request for an RMA # and called the number on the website multiple times but no one answers the phone. I left a message and am still waiting for some acknowledgment that they have received my request for an exchange or to talk to a live person...Finally reached customer service through the online chat on 1/4/11. They were very helpful. To be continued...
1/26/12 - Still waiting for my new glasses, I was told on 1/18/12 that they were on back order and that it would be 5-10 working days before they had them in stock. The email said they would express ship them when they come in. To be continued...
2/2/12 - Today I received my long awaited sunglasses. They are fantastic! As soon as the shipment came in I was contacted and they shipped it over night delivery at no cost to me for having to wait so long. Even though I had to wait, it was well worth it. My sunglasses fit perfect and the price was the lowest I could find. I would use their services again. Thanks Shades Emporium!

"Unfortunately my experience with Shades Emporium wasn't great.

First of all I had to chase them to get the tracking number and only got the tracking number the day the order was delivered (9 business days after I placed the order).

I then recieved only 1 pair of the 2 pairs of sunglasses I ordered. I checked my credit card and they did refund the price of one of the pairs however they never contacted me to tell me that 1 pair was not in stock and that they would only be shipping 1 pair to me.

Correspondence of emails was average as well. They respond with very brief emails.

"I was hesitant to buy frames online, it's just one of those areas I hadn't come around to yet. I went shopping for frames initially at some local stores. I almost bought a pair but decided to see if there were any buying options online.

In my searching I came across ShadesEmporium and since I had the model of the frames and the size already, it made things even simpler. The discount price was great.

I've received my frames and can say I am very happy with them and I've been telling my friends that next time they look for frames, they should check out ShadesEmporium. I hope these last a good many years but when it's time for new frames, I'll be back!

"Ordered a pair of sunglasses on 12/20. I even called ahead to makes sure they would arrive by Christmas. I was told the sunglasses were in stock and would arrive in plenty of time as I am a mere 50 miles from them. Well, it is now 12/28 and I have yet to receive the glasses which were to be a gift for my son. I tried calling but after being placed on hold for over 30 mins the two times I have called I have given up. I'm hoping the glasses arrive sometime this week, but as one can tell by many of the reviews on this site, expect to wait a while for your items.

UPDATE-

I am not worried about receiving my glasses. I'm sure they will come eventually. My concern is the fact that I was LIED to on the telephone. I was told the glasses were in stock and was ASSURED that I would receive them by the 24th.
