This review is the first document I’d have created using my new computer system.

"I have $750 and so I think I’ve finally saved enough money to assemble my own desktop computer system. I know what kind of pc I want and what I need it to be capable of but I have no idea what brand or parts to get. I know I want one that is fast enough for modern gaming and that I don’t really need huge storage space since I prefer streaming over downloading anyway. I called a few of my friends and Chuck advised me to call Server Parts Warehouse. He told me to not let the name fool me as SPW has everything I could ever need to build a computer system.

I phoned in and the representative forwarded me to someone she said is an expert when it comes to computers. The guy’s name was Roman and he asked me about my budget and everything I plan on doing with the system I plan on building. He asked me to explain in detail, including my preferences in various things such as sound, gaming, etc. He put me on hold for a few times to check on some things. Roughly 30 minutes later, he gave me a list of his recommended components and asked me to look online about their specs. I checked online and was satisfied so I thanked Roman and placed the order.

The package arrived on time and each item worked flawlessly. My new system is exactly what I want it to be. You rock Roman!

My purchase was discounted even though I purchased it before the sale.

"One night I noticed that my 8 year old monitor was having a few black lines across the screen so I decided to call Server Parts Warehouse immediately and asked them if they about a good replacement. I was given a few options so I asked the representative to give me a minute to check the options on the internet and I made my choice. The representative thanked me for my purchase, I said welcome, and then I went to bed.

The following morning, while having toast I went to the SPW site to check the progress of my order and found out that the monitor I’ve purchased yesterday is on 15% off today. I called SPW and a representative named Richie answered. I explained the situation to Richie. He said their promos aren’t retroactive but he’ll see what he can do then put me on hold. I wasn’t really expecting anything good after that. About 3 minutes later he returned and said that my order was not on the shipping queue yet so he canceled it and now all I have to do is make the purchase again and I can avail of the discount. I was really pleased and I will definitely shop at SPW again.

Customer Service that is Your Friend

"Nowadays, it is often more common to get antagonized by a customer service representative than feel that one is actually helping you. Fortunately, representatives for Server Parts Warehouse are better than most. I purchased a bunch of computer parts that I plan on using to build a new system unit. I placed my order in the afternoon. The following morning, I was on the phone with a friend talking about computers and he made me realize that there are certain options that are better than the parts I’ve chosen. After our conversation ended, I immediately called SPW to make changes to my order.

I got connected with a representative named Mickey. I was honest with her and told her I simply had a change of heart. She then asked me to wait as she checks the status of my order. A minute later, she said my order has not been placed into shipping yet she simply canceled it and all I have to do now is to place a new order for the items that I want. I didn’t really expect things to go that smoothly. I thanked Mickey and told her I hope she is the one I get to talk to the next time I call their customer service.

I recommend SPW to everyone.

Highly recommended.

"I am a very loyal customer. Once I give a company my trust I will stick with it even if another one offers slightly better deals. I have been with Server Parts Warehouse for about 9 years now. I’ve recently moved my family to a new neighborhood because the previous one was becoming to violent for my taste. We only took a few stuff with us so it was time to furnish the new home with some stuff. I decided to get my entire entertainment system from SPW. My wife and I love watching movies so I figured SPW is the only seller I can trust with it.

I bought a desktop computer, monitor, KVM switch, and a pair of DVI adapters. As expected, the package arrived on time and each item seemed to be in good condition. I tried to put the system together but can’t seem to get it to work which was quite frustrating especially for a seasoned DIYer like me. I disconnected and reconnected the cables a few times until I gave up and decided to ask my supplier for help. I gave them a call and Bernie answered. I told him about the situation and he asked me to explain the current setup in exact detail. I complied and he immediately recognized the issue and told me how to correct it. I followed his directions and our entertainment system is up and running. Bernie just reminded me why I remain loyal to Server Parts Warehouse. They are always willing to spare a few minutes to help me out. Highly recommended.

Empathetic Customer Service

"I wanted to assemble my own gaming rig, not really a high end one but as long as it can play most AAA games at moderate settings would be good enough. I’m just your typical highschooler who doesn’t really have a ton of cash, just the money I saved with my part-time job. And so I figured Sever Parts Warehouse would be my best option. My dad has been a loyal client of theirs for 9 years and they haven’t let him down yet.

So I called their number, told the representative my story, listened to his advice, made my selection, and placed my order. Everything went smoothly and all that was left to do was to wait. 3 days later, to my dismay and horror, I found a worn out box at our doorstep and it seemingly has the items I have ordered. And the delivery guy didn’t even bother to present the delivery to me. I hate FedEx sometimes.

So there I was staring at the box wondering if it contains the right items. I called SPW and told the representative what happened. She told me that since I haven’t opened the box yet, I should take pictures of the opening to record it on video. I decided to do the later. She waited on the line while I opened the box and checked each item. Afterwards, I told her all the items were there. She said that I should put the thing together and check if everything is working properly and just call back if there are issues.

With this kind of customer service, I will never try to shop anywhere else.

I’m new to this online shopping business. What can I say?

"I’m new to this online shopping business. What can I say? I’m old school. One day, I called my son to pick me up and help me look for a replacement for the house’s circuit breaker and fuse box. He told me that he can’t because he already has commitments for the day and that I should just shop online. Left without any other choice, I conceded and just asked him for an online shop. He said is should try Server Parts Warehouse since it is where he gets all his electronics and computer parts.

And there I was clicking around the SPW website. The site was huge, especially to someone as old as me who isn’t used to shopping on the internet. 5 minutes later, I gave up looking for the items on my own and I just called their number. Someone named Jane answered and she walked me through the process. She slowly and clearly explained everything and gave me tips on how I can get the best deals out of my money. She was very patient with me and stayed with me until I finished placing my order. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I will do it again the next time I need to buy something. Server Parts Warehouse is my default online computer store.

"I’ve known about the company since when it was just starting. I’ve been its loyal customer for 10 years now and will remain so for another 10. They already assembled 5 systems for me and my family. Their products are in good condition and their prices are fair but it is their outstanding customer service and product support that keeps me in love with them. Computer systems require maintenance and occasional repairs and replacements. Whenever one of our systems shows signs of trouble I just call SPW and they talk me through every step of the solution. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I have a direct line to computer experts who gladly offer free advice. Thanks to them my systems are very well maintained I’m not ashamed to give them away to relatives when I bring in a new system. The first system SPW has assembled for me I’ve given away to my nephew and it’s been with him for almost 5 years now.

Server Parts Warehouse has taken care of all my computer needs for an entire decade and I am hoping they will continue to do so for as long as me and my family need computers.

I was spared from my wife’s wrath.

"Our desktop computer was getting old so I asked my wife if we could spare some cash on getting a new one. She said it would be alright as long as the price is something our household can accommodate. And so with the queen’s blessing I called Server Parts Warehouse and made some inquiries. Some minutes later my selection was finished and the billed totaled $1000 which might be slightly higher than my wife would have wanted but still not high enough to get her mad. Man I slept so soundly that night knowing I will have a new toy a few days later.

When I woke up the following day, I immediately checked my inbox and I was surprise to see 2 confirmation emails from SPW. Each email had its own tracking number so I immediately realized I purchased the items twice. Then I remembered that a representative from my bank called yesterday and told me that there was an issue with my purchase from SPW and that my credit card had been mistakenly declined. The representative told me to just make the purchase again and so I did. And now I have a $2000 bill and my wife is going to be furious.

I know most companies would just take advantage of the situation but I was desperate so I called SPW anyway. A representative named Moira answered and she listened as I explained my predicament. She told me she will do what she can and put me on hold. I was already imagining my wife’s reaction when Moira came back about 2 minutes later to tell me that she had canceled the second order. I breathed a sigh of relief and thanked her. I am forever in your debt Moira.

Crisis Averted. Thank you SPW!

"Server Parts Warehouse has provided all my computer needs for the past five years. The quality and price of their products is competitive and I simply love their product support. Not only have they built 3 desktop systems for me, they also continuously help me maintain them with their invaluable pieces of advice. When I first ordered computer parts for them and told them that I know next to nothing on how to maintain a computer, they told me to just ask them if I encounter a problem. So every time I think there is an issue, I call them right away and they always answer. I swear, SPW must have the most patient people.

Just this week, I noticed some problems with my computer. It sometimes freezes, and sometimes fails to boot up. It doesn’t always happen but the boot error has started happening more frequently. So I called SPW to report my problem. I explained to them what was happening and they told me to run a few tests. When I told them the test results they told me that my hard drive might be failing. They asked me if I have important files on the drive and I said yet as tons of photos and videos of my family are stored in it. They told me to transfer the files and replace the drive as soon as possible. So ordered a replacement drive and later told my son to transfer the files to his desktop. Sure enough, my drive got bricked even before the replacement arrived. Good things all my files are all save with my son’s drive.

Customer Service that Won’t Give Up on You.

"The online shop I’ve been dealing with for half a decade had made some significant policy changes that didn’t sit well with me so I decided it’s time to look for a new one. I remember a once mentioned that she got her computer system from Server Parts Warehouse so I decided to give her choice a chance. I was a heck of a gamer back in the day so now that I’m settled and have a few hours of free time each day I’m planning on assembling my own pc rig. I don’t really need a high end system, just one good enough to play current gen games at mid settings.

So I ordered everything I could think of that would be needed to assemble a gaming desktop system. I was given a tracking number so I can track the progress of my transaction. I checked 3 days later and to my surprise, my order was still in processing. I called SPW to inquire about it. The first representative passed me to another one who also passed me to another named Rob. As it turned out, there was some mix up with my credit card company. They declined a similar order and mistakenly declined mine too. Rob said he will try and patch things up and will keep me updated.

Rob kept his word and provided me with daily updates on the issue. 4 days later, everything was solved and shipping of my items was under way. Thank you Rob for sticking with me. You have just earned SPW a new loyal customer.

Very rarely can you encounter a business that sends replacements as fast as it sends deliveries.

"I’ve never heard of Server Parts Warehouse until a friend recommended it to me. I always keep an open mind when it comes to trying out new suppliers and sellers especially if they were recommended by someone I know. I first checked SPW’s website and their collection is massive. I’m one of those freelance work-from-home people who only talk to my clients through Skype so having a decent headset is important to me. My current one has started to have problems so I wanted to get a replacement before it fails completely. I called and told the representative my situation and he gave me recommendations. I took a few moments to check the recommended products online and made my choice.

The price was slightly cheaper than the resellers I know and the product arrived 2 days later, exactly when the representative said it will. I hooked the product up but to my dismay, I soon realized that the headset’s microphone was broken. I called them immediately and the representative apologized and advised me to ship the product back which I did.

4 days later which I guess is 2 days after they received the returned headset, I received the replacement. They even included a mouse pad for my troubles. Server Parts Warehouse is definitely an A+ reseller. Very rarely can you encounter a business that sends replacements as fast as it sends deliveries. The guys at SPW have earned themselves a new customer and I will definitely do business with them again.

We were desperate so we immediately checked the SPW website.

"Barely a week away from our high school science fair, our team was in some sort of panic as we discovered that the local store does not have the type of resistors that we need for our project. We’ve looked around town and asked around until one schoolmate who is the local electrician’s son told us to check Server Parts Warehouse. He said that it is where his dad gets electrical parts that are not sold in town. We were desperate so we immediately checked the SPW website. And boy was their collection of parts overwhelming.

Pressed for time, I decided to just call their number instead of sifting through their website. I explained our situation and our needs. I asked if they have the Arduino Uno and the Raspberry Pi as well as other resistors kits. The representative put me on hold and came back less than a minute later and said they have everything that I need in stock. I gave them my details and asked for an estimated delivery time. He said it is already late in the afternoon so I can no longer avail of their ‘same-day delivery’. He continued to say that they can ship the parts early tomorrow and they will arrive at my doorstep 2 days later. That would give us only 3 days to work the resistors on our project but it would be enough so I went through with the order. The package arrived on time and the resistors were perfect. We were able to go through with our presentation thanks to SPW.

I’ve been a loyal customer of SPW for almost 7 years now.

"I’ve been a loyal customer of SPW for almost 7 years now. I run a small internet café of 21 computers and I turn to them whenever I need replacements. My café is full most of the time so a broken pc means a significant loss of revenue. Thus is why I particularly love SPW’s same day shipping policy. As long as they receive the order before lunchtime, they will ship the parts that very day. I can’t even count how many times I’ve purchased from them and not once have they failed me. I’ve recently purchased new fan system for the pc I am using as my server and as expected PSW delivered. I called them after receiving the product and their representative talked me through installing it.

PS: As someone who knows only the basics of operating and maintaining pcs, I appreciate the fact that they seem to always have someone available for answering customer questions. When I’m not sure about something, I just give them a call and they are always willing to accommodate me. Most of the DIY stuff I know about computers today came from them. Talking to an expert is always a better way to learn than just reading a manual or watching a video.

Delivery was prompt and the 2 pieces of RAM I received worked perfectly

"My pc is very old. I never bothered to upgrade because I only use it for Word and Skype. One day, it suddenly started having problems. I asked my buddy to check it out and he said its memory needs replacement. He told me to look for two 1gb DDR2 RAM. He also warned me that DDR2 components have been long phased out so I might have trouble finding them. The alternative of replacing the motherboard and possible other parts of the system unit is simply too costly so I was determined to find thos DDR2 RAM, used or not, doesn’t matter.

I looked online and found Server Parts Warehouse. At first I was reluctant to deal with them because of their many poor reviews on this site. Fortunately, I was always one to check other opinions so I checked other review websites. The first two sites I checked had very good reviews of SPW so I decided to just go and give SPW a go.

I gave them a call. Their representative and I talked about what I was looking for. He also asked me about my pc to make sure about the RAM I need. Some seconds later, he said they have exactly what I need. They gave me quite an affordable price so I made the purchase and gave them my order details. Delivery was prompt and the 2 pieces of RAM I received worked perfectly.

Change prices on parts after you order

"Place an order on a Friday afternoon for an HP SAS rackmount for a tape drive. It was listed at $199. Great deal on a refurb part.

By Tuesday, I hadn't heard anything so I contacted them to see what the status was. Sami emailed back saying they were informing me that my part was out of stock and was being canceled. I thought that was odd. I looked on the site and the part was, in fact, still being listed for sale under the same SKU, even. Only now, it has $599 price tag.

Totally unprofessional and very shady. I reported to BBB as well. I wish I could report them to Google because that's how I found them. I assumed they were trustworthy. Should've searched harder.
