"The site is straightforward; no hidden fees or unexpected issues. Your listing is posted and then you wait for traffic; SMTN alerts you if there is anyone interested. Staff were very helpful and always replied in a timely manner. Don't expect a quick sale, nor to recoup your initial investment - but that is not on the site; it is just the market. Also, the sale itself (from initial offer to completion) can be very slow depending on the different countries between seller and buyer as not all the paperwork can be done digitally and therefore we must rely on the post in communicating back and forth. Again, not necessarily on the site, as I assume it's more to the legal processes. We did trust the professionals to have knowledge of the different timeshare companies' requirements for resale; and unfortunately ours was initially rejected, causing further delay, due to a small (yet large) issue with our timeshare requiring only one person/family on the sale as opposed to multiples. "

"I've made a couple resale timeshare purchases via SMTN over the years, each has gone successfully.
The most recent had a bit of a delay from initial request via the SMTN site to getting a response from a broker, but once a match to my offer was found, the rest of the process was fairly efficient in processing. Closing in my case took about 6 weeks from accepting an offer to having the ownership transferred to my name.
Follow up responses were timely and helpful in keeping me informed of the status."

"During the 14 months it took to get a timeshare offer, SMTN contacted us several times to provide guidance on changing the listing to be more attractive. They also contacted us with various options, instead of selling, to eliminate the maintenance fees and other expenses. We did not accept any of these options since we were only interested in selling. We finally received an offer, submitted by a realtor working with SMTN. He explained the process and helped us through it. After we had accepted the offer, the timeshare company exercised their right of first refusal and bought the timeshare back with the same conditions as the SMTN offer. Given the large number of timeshares on the resale market, we were not surprised that it took over a year and several reductions in price to sell the timeshare. It did sell for more than we had paid SMTN to place our timeshare on the marker. "
