Horrible operations

"I ordered a few rugs from this company and needed to return a rug. It was difficult to receive the return information. It took multiple days and emailing back and forth. I had to return the rug myself (no shipping labels provided which seems to be the general standard for the majority of businesses these days), but above all, there was no communication of the company receiving it nor was there a refund issued. It is now 1 month after the return (I have proof of delivery) and no word from the company. Incredibly disappointed in such poor operations. I would not do business with them again."

Don't do business here!! Stay far far AWAY!!!

"I ordered a rug & waited about 2 weeks to get my shipping status only to find out (because I called) that the rug was on back order for 2 months. Obviously I canceled the order only to start having to chase down my refund. The customer service rep (male) was completely rude & would not answer my questions about their company which by the way is in Canada. This place hides the fact that they are not U.S. based! You can not locate their address or country anywhere on their site. It also does NOT mention that there is an associated fee for those of us in the states. I wound up having to get my refund for the rug from the owner because the rep couldn't do it for some reason. Furthermore, I am left with a "foreign transfer fee" of $32.14 & have asked the merchant to refund it as a courtesy & now he won't respond to me. This company is a scam! Read the reviews & stay AWAY!!!! "

110% Price Match is a SCAM!!

"There is a form to fill out for the price match guarantee. They say they will match the price and give another 10% off. The form has you fill out all of the competitor information and allows you to link to their website for ease of confirmation. Then it asks you to put all of your information in so that they “can put it in the cart for you so that you can buy it whenever you are ready”. So I filled out all information and received a response back from their customer service representative stating that in order to receive the price match, you need to purchase the rug first. So I sent another email to customer service, but it went to the same person so clearly they only have one customer service rep… And I attached a copy of the form and showed her where it stated that they will put it in the cart with the discounted price so that it can be purchased whenever ready. Her response … Sorry, the form is incorrect - you need to purchase the rug first. Needless to say, I am buying the rug from the competitor for a little bit more money and a lot less hassle apparently now that I am seeing the other reviews. Don’t waste your time with these people. "

FREE trial is NOT Free!!!

"Buyer Beware! The advertised FREE 30-day in home trial is anything but free! I purchased a $105 6'X9' rug for my kitchen, which I decided to return, as it was "Very thin and cheap looking and will not lie flat." Obtaing the RE# to return was not difficult, but the very least expensive way I found to return it cost $43!! So it cost me almost half the price of the rug, just to see it and immediately return it! The ordering and receiving process was smooth and timely from this company, but do not be taken in by the big claims of FREE IN-HOME TRIAL. You have to go deep into the fine print of the return policy to see that you will be responsible for all return costs (The Return Policy is NOT even listed as a separate link on the bottom of the home page with all the other site links, as is true with most all companies.They obviously do not want you to see and read ii it before buying). Unless you are absolutely sure you are going to like and keep your rug, avoid this site and use Amazon or another company that has free returns!!!). BUYER BEWARE! (I will post this on numerous other review sites)."

"Awful. Charged my credit card immediately upon ordering, but neglected to tell me that the rug I wanted was backordered (for four months) until I called asking where it was three weeks later. Said they'd sent me an email (they didn't). I promptly canceled.

Two weeks later, and they haven't credited my card the $550. Avoid these guys, bunch of scam artists.

"I was somewhat apprehensive about ordering a rug online, but I called first to speak to a customer service agent and felt more at ease after our conversation. I ordered the rug in November and received it on Christmas Eve. That's my only negative - takes almost a month to get from Montreal to my home near London. But, I was told 3 weeks by c/s so they weren't far off. I am thrilled with the rug!! It's beautiful!!"

"I was nervous to order after reading the negative reviews. But I received my rug 4 days after I ordered with no issues! Saved 45% off! I think the biggest issue is with returning items which I didn't have to do. Very satisfied and would order again from them! "

"I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews here and after 6 days my order for two rugs was still in 'Warehouse Processing' status. However, I called Select Rugs asking to advise on the status of my order. Although the hold time was 10 minutes or more the customer service rep was very helpful when I spoke to her. After giving her my order number she advised that many times the order is being processed however the factory warehouse has to manually enter in a all tracking and order status update information and then provides this information to Select Rugs to update on the site. Since select rugs receives hundreds of orders a day there can be a back log of order status' being updated. The customer service rep indicated she would reach out to the warehouse right away for me to get an update and she would email me or update my order. She also mentioned that she showed both rugs in stock. She followed through and about 2 hours later I rec'd an email & my order was updated along with shipping tracking number provided on the website. My rugs arrived two days later. It seems maybe they are short a few customer service reps at select rugs for order processing but after speaking to someone I am very satisfied with the service. The quality of the rugs I ordered 'Concepts Casanova Red' are nice not excellent. I had hoped they would be a bit thicker but overall I am satisfied with Select Rugs. We will see how they hold up. "

"Andy at selectrugs was so helpful. I accidentally ordered a rectangular, when I wanted an oval, so he corrected that. Also he delayed the delivery date to fit our schedule. Good service."

"BUYERS BEWARE.... I purchased 3 rugs from Select Rugs last May and within 6 months the rugs began to unravel and come apart. When I called Select Rugs, several times, they told me they only have a 30 day in home warrenty and could not do anything for me, that this was normal wear and tear. Well one rug was under the kitchen table (which we don't walk under the table) the other two were in front of the sink. I am a senior citizen and it's only my husband and I living in the home. No, it is not NORMAL wear and tear. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, Select Rug's response to them was that their loyalty team would contact me to resolve the issue. They NEVER contacted me. Extremely Poor, that Select Rugs does not stand behind their product or even follow up with the complaint. "

"Returning rugs to this online company is practically impossible. When the rugs arrive there is virtually no paperwork or any information or form on how to make a return. It took me 2 weeks and 3 calls to get a return auth number. I received proof of delivery by Fed X 7 days ago, but have yet to receive any notice of credit. It has taken me 45 minutes to contact the company by chat. Phone is impossible. I was told that credit was issued today. Nothing yet on my CC.
The rug was supposed to be pink, black and violet. It was beige, grey and black. It was not even close to the way it was represented on line. I found if you go to the website of the actual rug company their photos are accurate. I found to order direct from the rug company Momeni would have been comparable in price and much easier to return if needed.
Price is not equal to quality. I feel the $599 rug I ordered was worth about $150 less. Plus... it cost $40 to send back. Live and learn.

"Rip off!! They don't send the products ordered, the customer service is terrible. I've tried to settle an issue over an order that did not arrive and they refuse to send the item. I would run not walk away from Select Rugs. I had spent 1600 dollars in 2 separate orders with them and haven't gotten some of the items. I would call this fraud!"

"I have to say I was a little worried after I ordered my rug and then came across a lot of negative reviews about this company. But I ordered the rug on Monday and it arrived (today) on Friday. The rug is exactly as described - so I'm quite happy with the price and service. I never had to contact customer service, so I can't comment on how that is. But, if you know the rug you want - at a good price with fast delivery - I would highly recommend this company. "
