"I use these reviews when making online purchasing decisions. I noticed the poor reviews came when trying to return a rug. IMPORTANT: make sure you see the rug in person before ordering so you're not surprised (& don't have the hassle of frying to return) IMPORTANT: I called customer service BEFORE ordering to make SURE they had the rug in stock. The customer rep called the manufacturer to make sure of stock & give me a better idea of actual delivery date. Very helpful. My rug is gorgeous, (I'd seen a sample beforehand) the delivery was within 1 day of estimated time, (I called directly) the price couldn't be matched. Do the homework; it really pays off. "

"After reading all of the negative reviews, I was a little hesitant to buy from SelectRugs but the savings were so great that I decided to risk it. Boy, am I ever glad I did! I placed my order on Wednesday, March 7 and received my rug on Saturday, March 10. What fantastically fast shipping! The rug was received in perfect condition and I am thrilled with the $150 savings based on pricing from other retailers. My only minor complaint is the lack of communication. I received no notification of shipping so I had no idea my rug would arrive today."

"DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SELECTRUGS.COM They have the worst customer service I've ever seen. I never got an email with a tracking number or anything but they have already charged my card. I've called 4 times, no answer. On the 5th I got lucky but they just told me that they would contact the manufacturer"

"Do not order anything from this company. I ordered 1 item on January 6 and was not notified that it was backordered until I called the company in late February. They told me it would be shipped in early April and they would give me a 10% discount which they did. Here it is two thirds of the way through April and no rug. Their web site order status was not helpful as it only said "in warehouse processing" as it has since I ordered the rug. So I called again. Now they tell me it is in a crate on a ship coming from India and would be arriving in May, no date given. I canceled the order. I order a lot of things online and never have had such a bad experience."

"Ordered 4 items on 1/7/11 was told 2 weeks later they were back ordered until 2/2. Received nothing and called. Shipped 3 items on 2/11 last back ordered until "end of February". Got nothing, tried "Click to Chat". Back ordered until March 23. On March 28th tried Click to Chat again. They said they saw no back order update, but I should call customer service to be sure. Good luck with that after 15 minutes of hold you get an answering machine. It is April 1 and if I can ever get through to "customer service" I will cancel the balance of the order. They are good at taking the order but they stink at shipping the order or telling you when you will get it. Buy at your own peril."

"I have been extremely happy with the service and professionalism of the reps at SelectRugs. I did have to return one rug because the color was not as pictured online. The process was seamless. The reps have been friendly and helpful each and every time I've contacted them with a question. I've placed three orders with each rug being absolutely beautiful and of utmost quality. Of course I'd like to purchase locally, but just can't find the selection of colors, styles and sizes. Without a doubt, I'll use SelectRugs again."

"DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY EVER!!!! I ordered 4 rugs, 2 of which were totally misrepresented and needed to be returned. My original order was on Dec. 18th. I started the return process on Jan. 4 and after 9 emails, 3 phone messages (there are no "people" to talk to) I am still waiting. Today is Jan. 20th. I have since contacted my credit card company and they are lodging a dispute for me. I do have to be fair here and say I did receive one email stating they were sending me a pre-paid FedEx return label which included the instructions for printing and sending back the items. The thing they neglected to include was the actual attachment for the label to be printed out. Stay away from this company at all costs...don't be taken in by their great prices because it will end up being too costly in stress if you need to return something. It is so not worth the couple extra dollars you save. Trust me...I could write a book on my experience and all of it BAD!!!!! My next call is to the BBB."

"I have been waiting over 2 weeks and my order still has not shipped, though my credit card has already been charged. I have contacted them 3 times and I receive a different excuse each time: end of year inventory, due to weather, and due to being closed for the holidays (my order was placed on January 3rd). Talked to them today and they said they will "research it" and get back to me on Monday or Tuesday...we will see.

"I recieved 3 of 4 items ordered. The items received were very satisfactory. Tracking the last item has been unsatisfactory. The company phone number has a long wait and then switches to a message opportunity. The online chat is helpful as far as it goes but they have to "research" and then have not responded back to me. I hope this turns out ok.Of course I was charged at the time of ordering. "
