"Good product line, but RIPOFF on shipping.

Seidio has many unique Treo smartphone accessories. Many of which you will not find anywhere else. I purchased a Treo charging cradle and wanted it shipped via USPS Priority Mail to my PO Box, which was $7.00.

However, because my order price exceeded a small amount (most likely $20-$25) they will not ship via USPS, only Fedex Express saver. This cost me $14 instead.

Their claim --which is invalid I might add-- was that a higher order amount requires FedEx because it can be insured and is more secure.

Hmmm... let me see, what is more secure? A federal postal facility or leaving it on my doorstep unattended? Additionally, USPS does offer insurance, but I guess they would rather not bother with that.

Anyway, the point is, products are good, but beware on shipping!!!!

"I ordered a powered PDA mount with speaker for my I-Mate PDA2K. It arrived in the mail after about a week, just after I left town on a business trip.

When I got back, I tested the PDA mount and found the speaker volume was too low, therefore useless. I read Seidio's policy on returns, which states that you have 14 days to return the item, counting from the shipment date (which is downright unfair, because ground shipping already took 7 days). Unfortunately, I had been out of town and only picked up the package from the post office 1 day after my trial period would end.
I wrote to SeidioOnline explaining the situation (14 days, out of town etc.) and kindly asking to allow me to return the item. They said the return period passed. Duh! I had told them that in my e-mail.

I also wrote them that the PDA mount was in perfect condition, and I had all the accessories, but Seidio ignored me.
So I ended up paying $141.35 for a basically useless product. I mean, if you get a powered PDA mount without a speaker, it's going to cost you maybe $40 from Arkon.

"Bought 4 products with two different orders in June 2006. Products were received in 3 working days both times and are excellent quality. Prices are very competitive. One prodyct was 1/3 the cost of competitors and far superior. If you have a XV/PPC 6700 or Cingular 8125 they sell products for that too. If you research forums, you will find the company management very responsive & customer focused. Highly recommend! No hassle, good quality."

"I had purchased G4850 Navigation Kit from Sedioonlinecom. This was supposed to be a gift for my husbands birthday. The GPS system did not work. So we called tech support and tried to reinstall and resetup with their help, but the system still did not work. After which he was asked to apply for a refund or repair online. So he did.

We waited for a few weeks but got no response, after which I called your support number they provided me with the RMA number and instructions on shipping the item. But I did not get the shipping address, later when I emailed back asking for a shipping address. I was not provided one, instead I got an email indicating that my RMA number has expired. I respond to that email but got no response in return.

So I call the customer support once again and they asked me to forward the email that I sent you asking for a refund. So I forwarded the email, but got no response. So I called once again the next day when I was told I never even applied for a refund. I asked to talk to the customer support manager, who told me that he would get back to me after talking to his manager and never called me back. I tried called him and left him voice mails, but got no response. I finally got to talk to him when he claimed that he didnt remember having any such conversation.

Every time a different story. I dont know why we have been asked to go around in circles. All we wanted was a refund and we are finding ourselves spending a lot of time either emailing to seidioonline.com or talking to tech support or talking to customer support and we have to do this during our work hours because that is the only time we can call and talk to someone.

Finally I was told that they will charge me for restocking fee and the refund amount was almost half of what I had bought the equipment for. I mailed (via FedEx) in the equipment with a signed confirmation. I know the equipment was delivered but they still did not refund my money. I waited for 3 weeks and then called them, at this point I was told that they did not receive any package. I Which did not surprise me as I had heard all sorts of lies before as well. But this time I had proof of signature that the package was delivered. They told me that they will get back to me but have not called me to date.

Seidio was, is and will always be a nightmare. I would strongly recommend others to NEVER buy any product from them.

"I felt compelled to weigh in here as I have just had a great experience with Seidio.

Not only was the shipping expeditious, it was right around the holidays when presumably there was a much larger volume for them to deal with.

I also lost a tiny clip that goes on the air vent mount and contacted Customer Support. It took a day for me to hear back, but I kind of expected that as this is a smaller company from what I have gathered. When I did hear back they were more than happy to mail me a few more of those clips.

I can deal with a little wait given the savings I am realizing and the attentive customer support. As for the product, (G2350S INTEGRATED GPS CAR KIT) this built in GPS/Charger for my Treo is awesome! This unit does not have the speaker, but my treo speaker is loud enough. Great value.

Overall, I highly recommend Seidio.

PS: I used to work in the restaurant business and understand that human nature will make us complain about a negative experience much faster than we will praise a positive, hance the need to offer my opinion here.

"Placed order for Item in stock on Monday with FeDex Express 2day shipping in hopes of having the Item for use on the weekend. Wensday checked website for status on the order which read "ready to ship" Check again on Thursday afternoon Item still shows ready to ship. Sent email asking for status on the order. Had quick reply saying order had been shipped on Thursday afternoon and I should recieve an email with the shipping info shortly. It is now Friday mid morning and still the website shows "Ready to Ship" and I have not yet had the promised email with the shipping details"

"They delay delivery of Products in Stock. The do not reply to customer service emails. You have to call them, only during business hours. At other times inspite of the fact that nobody might be around, they still say 'All reps Busy'. However on the phone they are pretty friendly, gave me free shipping for the goof up though the product which is still in stock on their website has not yet shipped!! (Oct 30)"
