"Bouth a sony AV receiver dtn1080 refurbished.
I was impressed about the condition , it really looked like new. Price was amazing almost half of retail price.
Just the manual was missing, but no problem with that

"I did purchase a pair of headphones at a great price. The seller was suppose to ship within the first 3 days after the purchase. I found after 4 days via email that my purchase was cancel and no reason why. They held my money and then they cancelled the order. "

"I purchased Sony A5100 with two zoom lenses ($450 + tax). I first considered ordering through Amazon, but didn't like the extended warrenty offered through Amazon (very poor rating on the extended warrenty company). I checked on eBay and they had the same thing for the same price, and I happened to have some eBay bucks, so I went ahead and purchased it through eBay. The extended warrent offered through eBay has high rating, so I was happy about that also.

The camera and lenses I received are all in great conditions. I could tell somebody has used them, but with good wiping, they looked brand new. The screen even had the original sticker (the small long/narrow orange one) on it and free from any scratches. I also received a Sony camera bag (sold for $20 on Amazon) and 16 GB memory card, so that was a nice surprise. However, the micro USB was missing. The firmware update instructions say the original cable needs to be used or they would not guarantee that the update would work, so I really needed the cable. Contacting them was a bit of a hussle. It takes them about 24 hours to reply (SLOW!), and I had to exchange more than a few emails with them, so that took a loooooong time!! I asked them if they could send me a cable, but they say they don't have any extra, because they just get each refurbished item/package directly from Sony, and they don't have any extra cable just lying around (BTW, I liked to hear that they get their stuff directly from Sony :-)). Then I asked if they could open one of the boxes (they had more units still for sale) so that the could tell me the exact cable number, so that I could purchase the correct OEM cable. But they never replied to this question of mine, and I even wrote "I just don't understand why you cannot simply open one of the boxes to read the cable number", but still no reply to that! So that was frustrating, but they offered to send back the item for a refund (and repurchase another one if I want to), or give me a partial refund. By that time, I had figured my Kindle cable could be used for firmware update, so I settled with the partial refund ($12).

So it was a bit frustrating to comminicate with them about the missing cable. But they offered to take it back or give me a partial refund, so it wasn't that bad after all. And overall, I got a great deal, $450 + tax for a like-new A5100 with two zoom lenses (plus some extra goodies)! So I would probably purchase from them again.

"My purchase of a Refurbished Acer Aspire SW5-012-18MY laptop brought new meaning to the word "refurbished". I think they do nothing more than take the returns, restore the OS to the defaults (that must be the re-testing) through it in a brown box and ship it to an unsuspecting sucker like me. In my case while it turned on and booted off the SSD, the 500gb HD it was suppose to have was either non existent or dead. Bought it from Secondiipity through NEWEGG who didn't have much to do with it post sale. Still trying to arrange a refund or replacement which has just been a circular game. A poor showing for NEWEGG and a worse one for Secondipity. Not sure how they claim "manufacturer refurbished" it really surprises me Acer would pass off faulty wears as such. Very disappointing, lesson learned, buyer beware. "

"If this company went out of business the world would be a better place in my opinion ! I purchased a camera from the and it was promptly delivered. Upon using the camera the day after receiving it , most pictures were covered in red and green lines. Defective sensor Sony techs say. Sent a request for an rma and that went unanswered. Sent another request for an rma in and THAT went unaswered. Emailed customer service to return the camera for a refund and AGAIN went unanswered. Emailed AGAIN , no answer. CALLED them , they were sending an email for an rma and never received it ! Called AGAIN and they said they would check on it and NEVER heard back. All emails and refund/rma requests go UNANSWERED . I have a defective camera that I cant return for a refund because NO ONE will contact me or respond to rma and refund requests !! STAY AWAY..Go to Amazon as Amazon is cheaper and their return/refund policy is MUCH better ! At least with Amazon you can get someone to RESPOND and CORRECT the situation ! Dont be tempted by their low prices, you will wish you didnt have the headache i have trying to get them to issue a refund ! Beware !!"

"I'm apparently one of few who had a great experience with Secondipity.

Three and a half years ago, I bought a Vizio TV from them. It was listed as being in "Excellent" condition. When it arrived, it was apparently brand-spanking new. Not one piece of tape out of place in the packaging and contents. Not finger print. The thing had never been opened.
That TV - which was ridiculously cheap at Serendipity - is still in heavy use in our family room. One of the best buys we've ever made.
We've since purchased an Amazon Kindle from them - similarly fast service, and perfect product.

"Awful - beware.

Ordered a laptop for 1199.99 on their site, after it was sold out moments ago. Bought, paid, checked out.

After 5 min, just to be curious, I refreshed to see if they had stock, and they still did, but bumped the price to 1499.99. Then 3 days later they told me my order was "cancelled".

Beware - I like what they may be doing to classrooms, but they have shady selling practices and awful customer support.

Example answer to me when I asked about the above:
"Thank you for your inquiry. The item has been sold out, please try back another time if you would like to purchase. "

Good luck if you ever deal with them.

"Buyer Beware!
I purchased a Fitbit zip from them and the first one we received did not work. They sent a replacement that died after 6 weeks and were told that they only have a 30 day "warranty" and there was nothing they could do. I will not deal with them again and would definitely caution anyone purchasing to do so at their own risk.

"One of the worst customer service I ever had from purchasing online. I bought brand new "ASUS 11.6" Zenbook Laptop 4GB 128GB | UX21E-XH71" and I get a call couple days later that they listed and sold something they did not actually have. They refunded the money. A few days later, they list exact same item so I ask them why they are telling me they are out of stock but they are listing more to sell. They told me to pay for the item so they can ship me the item so I do. 4 days later I call them because item has not shipped and they tell me they are removing old user information from old user so they can ship the item. Dumb agent does not realize that I bought "Brand New Sealed" notebook. She says they actually don't have any new ones...just have used ones that were listed as new by mistake. I wasted over 12 days trying to buy an item that they never had...Never buy from them if you don't want to waste your time."

"This was my first and most horrible experience with Secondipity. They bait and switched me after I requested numerous times to cancel the order because they were out of stock (kindle fire HD 16GB 10.1" For $189.99). They sent me used kindle fire 8GB 7" with a $20 refund when amazon is selling new ones for $159.99. I told them I didn't want the exchange and wanted to cancel but they ignored my request and sent them anyway. Now I have to go through the trouble of disputing it with my credit company. They're scammers. I spoke with Johnathan. He ignored my request to cancel and processed them anyway. These guys are the same guys who operate dyscern. Buyers beware."

"I hadn't heard of Secondipity before taking a chance and buying an Acer Iconia a500 16GB Android tablet about a week ago, but I'm really happy with the results. I actually made a mistake and had to cancel a previous order and they were nice about it and did it pretty quickly. I then made the right order and it arrived within 2 or 3 days due to a father's day free 2 day shipping promo code. The tablet was listed as in "Excellent" condition, which I think was kind of vague and made me a bit cautious about actually ordering it, but it really was in basically new shape when I got it. No scratches or visible problems at all.

There was no retail box and didn't come with the screen wiping cloth that retail versions get, but this was exactly half price of a new one, so I'm not going to complain about that. I paid $229.99 plus tax, with free shipping. A new version I believe is $449. So, I would definitely recommend them based on my experience.

Also it's worth noting that when I sent in the request to cancel I got the response from liquidation.com and that was also related to acer.com. So I think Acer themselves sent the refurbed unit, because Secondipity and Acer both offer the same exact tablet for the same exact price on eBay. It's possible Acer owns Secondipity but keeps it on the down low, or Secondipity just contracts with them.

Either way it was a great buy and I would buy from them again. I'd just suggest they give a little bit more information on the exact condition of the item. Mine was perfect, but "Excellent" is a little too vague for purchasing something as delicate as a tablet.
