"I have to say that Save Here Digital ROCKS! I am a small business owner in Lansing, MI so I ALWAYS read customer reviews and have to admit, I was leery buying from them for the first time. I reciprocated my concerns to the service rep (Josh)and he was very reassuring on EVERY point of concern.

They gave me a great deal on a 70-200mm 2.8lens, received it next day! Although it was wrong brand (Canon vs Nikon), I called and they immediately shipped out another to rectify the mistake. They were very apologetic and went way out of their way for customer satisfaction. I received the correct one the next day and WOW is it fantastic! They are very knowledgeable on all of their equipment and I had impeccable customer service. Poor Josh received several calls from me panicking about details my local retail camera shop was feeding me, but he quickly calmed my fears!

For all those who read these reviews......there is no company out there that has 100% customer satisfaction. Give the reps a chance, mistakes happen, try being nice, voice your issues......honey is sweeter than wine!

AND to those that wrote reviews about this company being bait and switch......what company doesn't try to up-sell? No one is forcing you to buy.....they are doing their job by presenting options.

"Never, never, never buy anything from them...unless you love a headache and don't mind being lied to and mistreated by customer service.
They promise and don't have it, they assure you it will be delivered in 10 days and when you check the order, it is on backorder. You call, good luck to get an answer...they treat you like trash as if they are doing you a favor and they do not care at all!!!!!
I have ordered a camera as a gift one month prior to the birthday. It took them 2 weeks to call me "to confirm" the order. By confirm, they meant to get my security digits on my credit card. Asked why they needed it and I was told I did not have to...asked how long it was going to take to be delivered, considering we already lost 2 weeks. I was assured it would be here in 10 days...I finally decided to track my order online..it was on backorder...Finally got a hold of someone who told me they did not have it in stock and with all the problems in Japan they had no idea when they would get it...
Now mind you, I had tried to purchase from them last Christmas and back then they were showing a product which I wanted, on their website. When I called to order over the phone, they told me they no longer had it, but they had a "substitute" for 2x the price...
RUN AWAY from these people!!!!!!

"My son placed an order a couple of days ago. They called him to confirm order and offered him a lot more value for $180.00 more. (bait and switch) plus free express shipping. When he checked the order online, they charged him $600.00 more and switched what they said they would send. They immediately took the money from his account. We have tried to call them. One of the numbers they have on their website is bogus and no one will answer the number that actually says it is their company when it rings. This is a horrible company. My son has been ripped off. We are going to file complaints against them with the NY attorny general, Justice Dept. and BBB. Our attorney is also a Federal Judge. We will see what he has to say about this.
We are so upset about this. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

"Unreliable, typical "bait and switch" operation. Purchased a point 'n' shoot camera that was listed as "in stock" online in November 2010. Shortly, after purchase, received an email asking me to call to verify online purchase? At that time, the camera was still in stock (as they made no mention to the contrary). They then proceeded to try to sell me an additional battery. I refused. 1 month after purchase, I still had not received my camera. I called them and they said it must have been out of stock. In January, now 2 months after purchase, I called again and they said it was just shipped (no tracking number provided). They again tried to sell me a battery. Still having not received the camera by the end of January 2011, I called and they said it was lost by the shipping agent and that they would have to refund the purchase. In my estimation, seller advertised an unrealistic sales price for the camera and was hoping to make up for any shortfall by selling a battery. When I refused to purchase the"recommended" additional battery, they looked to exit the sales agreement."

"i orderd a canon 70-300 is usm lens. with out reading the reviews of this company.then i found the reviews. idecided to order the lens elsewhere. waited for shipping conformation never herd nota. got shipping conformation for my canon from the other retailer. then called savehere to cancel. they said it had been shipped also.this is like 2 and a half almost three weeks later. they said i would have to get an RMA from coustmer service to get my money back hahahaha.it wasnt even the the lens that i orderd it was a sigma dg 70-300 which i could have gotten cheaper than what they charged me for from amazon. yea keep callin customer service with no reply yea keep emailin coustmer service with no reply.yea call sales tellin you have to talk to coustmer service. im done its about to get real nasty.lawers bb buisness burea. everone i have to get envolved to get my money back.please dont order from this company all the negitive reviews are there for a reason. till i get my money back im stuck with a lens ive never opened or used.and been over charged for. happy RMA-ing with this company if you can get through to coustmer service. buyer be ware this is the worst experience ive had buying stuff online and ive been purchasing sence the 90s."

"This site is a a big scam. We bought a Cannon T2i camera with a 18-200 lens from this site 2 months ago. We only received the camera and so far we haven't seen the shippment of the lens yet. Everytime we called to inqury about the lens, they gave us the same excuse that the lens is on back order. We had a lot of hassle dealing with this site. The owner even used the f-word one time on the phone and threatened to ruin our credit if we disputed the payment. "

It is not unknown that internet is filled with scammers, and every now and them someone falls prey to them.
I had my first experience today, and incident left me feeling stupid and extremely annoyed. Though I do not have any monetary loss, but left feeling as a child who is shown a fancy toy but not allowed to touch or play with it.
It all begin with my quest to buy a digital SLR. I have been postponing it for a long time, and now when I am virtually free of any work from the job paying me, I decided to put in some effort to make best use of the hard earned money :)
First few days went by looking for the perfect camera for myself. It involved bugging people whom I have not bugged for a while, to seek some knowledgeable advise, plus marathon reading of reviews available online (kudos to dpreview.com).
Finally after a week or so, I zeroed it down to Canon EOS Rebel T2i w/ 18-55mm IS Lens, a very high spec camera among entry level DSLRs. I fall in love with it at first sight, though the love was bloated with $800 price on amazon. Hence began the chase for my love, which is still on.
In my quest for love, I found two love-gurus in form of bing.com and google.com, and I begin the follow each and every advise (the sponsored links) they gave me in order to conquer my love.
In my journey I stumbled upon an offer [which now I feel was too good to be true :(] selling the body only for $350. I quickly searched for the remaining pieces (lens, battery and charger) and figured out that I could get the whole camera for $510, pretty impressive, eh! So, I quickly ordered all the pieces and bragged about it on facebook, too early huh! Anyways, unaware of what lurks behind the darkness of the night, I have a good night sleep, high on sense of achievement.
Next morning I woke up to call from the online merchant, who very plainly told me that the camera I have ordered is not available and they have no idea when they would have one. Baffled by the news, I frenetically searched for the deal again, and found 4 different merchants with the same offer, though all look unnaturally similar. I realize at that instance that I will not possess this camera at the price mentioned, but still as a drowning man catches a straw, I called all four merchants hoping before each call that I might get the deal, but alas all replied with the same answer, that the piece is no longer in stock. The last merchant go as far as suggesting me that I have called him two times before as well, asking for this deal. Then I realize that all these four merchants are actually incarnation of a central entity working as a scam.
Getting into error correction mode, I decided to cancel the other pieces that I have ordered, though was able to cancel lens only. Hence now I owe a canon battery and a charger, without any camera!
Before ending my post, I would like to mention the scam sites which I fall prey of, hoping that others do not have the same faith.

"This review is for SAVEHERE DIGITAL.COM. I am sorry I did not read this review before ordering from this company. I have to echo the complaints here that this company is running a bate and switch operation. I ordered a canon 5d mark 2 for $1600, but then I learned that the model I ordered was the international, which had no battery memory or charger. I tried to buy a kit from them that included these items plus a tripod. We agreed on a price of $2195 since that was a comparable quote I got from Best Buy in California. The clerk said that he would do the kit and ship for free at that price. I was shocked to learn that for a 2meg battery, extra battery, charger, one year guarantee,and a table tripod (not a regular tripod) I was being charged about $900, $2500 total( shipping included-I was told that shipping would be free and expedited). When I called back, the clerk I talked to denied our conversation and could not cancel the kit order ( I only wanted the camera) because it was already shipped, but when I received it he would tell me what my options where. When 3 weeks went by, I called and was given an incorrect ups number. I called back to confirm the number, but I was told that the computers were down, later that the ups section was not working because of the storm in NY; that I would be getting it on the 24 of December. I called on 12/29/10 and was told that they would be shipping it from their Texas store and I would be getting it by January the 4th , but he could not give me a ups number at this moment...I thought it had already shipped on November 29 and that is why they could not cancel my order...It is obvious that they have been lying all alone. I tried to write a complaint to their customer service shown on their web site, I never had a response despite of several messages sent to them. I guess I'll be contacting the NY DA to add my name to the numerous complaint that this company has. Hopefully my credit card company can help me recover my money.
I was pleased to hear from its management offering to refund my money since Iwas not satisfied with this transaction. This shows me that this is a responsible company wishing to deal with customer happy. I will change my review of this company since I am completly satisfied and would consider dealing with it in the future.

"Sent me the wrong lens then lied about having an account number with UPS. UPS ultimately sent me a bill for $19.71 and these people (Steve ext 103) INTENSIONALLY shorted me the $.0.71 and told me to F**K-OFF. This was again, after lieing that they credited me for the total amount. AVOID these people at all costs!
One more thing, most of these high rating reviews are nonsense. They tell you immediately after taking your order that they will include a "special gift" if you highly rate the sales person and send you this review. I told Steve @ ext 103 that "how can I rate someone when your company hasn't completed the transaction?" Well, no gift. Boy, I'm glad I waited.

"12/27/2010 They are liars!! BEWARE!!! do NOT BUY FROM!!! Just google them and see for yourself...You will not get what you want...ever!!(I should have before hand)Just spoke to "Robert" from SaveHereDigital.com and he wanted to verify my order. So he did...then he asked "why I purchased the import version". I told him that it was for my daughter and that it didn't really matter as long as it was in working order. I already have batteries and lens for the D5000. Once I said that he said ok you should get your order in about 20 days. I said ok...well then I got an email saying that the item was backordered. Why didn't the guy tell me over the phone 1 minute before I got the notice. Trust me do NOT even attempt buy anything from them... YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR MONEY!! I already alerted my credit card incase they charge me. They get you on the phone and try to sell you something at a much higher price than quoted and if you dont buy it they tell you the item is backordered (which means you will never get it). I am lawyer here in GA and have already started doing some research on this company and let me tell you they already have some open cases against them in other states (NY mainly) Will update this as I find more info on them... - Mike"

"I WILL NOT be back. I get the feeling that I am playing a waiting game to force me to cancel my order so they can collect the 7% cancellation fee. I placed an order Dec 2nd. Then had to deal with calling to confirm an order over the phone. Why? So they can try to sell me more stuff that's why. I have purchased online forever and never had to call anyone. When I called it was like a pitch to sell me extra parts I had already purchased elsewhere, like the battery. When I didn't buy it then I got to go on backorder and am told it can be weeks. I chose free shipping so already looking at a month with the 12-15 day shipping. The practice of selling items they don't have should be a no no. There should be a not in stock notice on the pages. People are shopping for the holidays and to be told it will be held up until God knows when is dishonest and leaves many without the gift the were wanting to give. They can't even give you a real date on when it will be in stock and don't charge the card so you are left tiptoeing making sure you don't accidently let you bank balance go under the purchase amount so when they finally decide to charge you the money will be there. Imagine how hard that is at christmas when you are purchasing so much. So mad at these people because I feel I have no options that won't cost me money and then to read they will probably tack on extra insurance fees of almost $60 that's not dislosed angers me!! I placed my order on Dec 2nd and guess what STILL on backorder. I would love to know who else placed an eos xsi order after me and HAS recieved the backordered items."
