Terrible Samsung experience

"The experience of visiting Samsung’s flagship Oxford Street store was terrible. Samsung’s arrogance was supreme. The customer counted for nothing. The law of doing business counted for nothing. Instead, Samsung did as it wanted without fear of comeback.

I went in to buy a Galaxy 8. The salesman was emphatic that a Galaxy 9 deal was better as it was about the same price, because of a minimum part exchange value – the Galaxy 9 also was newer and more advanced. The salesperson even told me a greater part exchange value could be obtained if any mobile, being part exchanged, had value. All that convinced me to spend 2 hours returning home for an old smart mobile. The salesman then completed Samsung’s purchase of my old mobile by wiping its memory and registering Samsung as the new owner – as the mobile was old I was given no extra value beyond the minimum. Then, after 10 minutes waiting at the till to pay the balance owed, I was told the part exchange deal no longer existed. It had somehow disappeared whilst I was at the shop or beforehand. It was also clear that Samsung’s completed purchase of my old mobile would also be made to disappear!

The experience showed the salesperson’s statements to have been worthless and meaningless, as was the time I had been misled to waste. Apparently, this often happens as the salesperson told me about 4 other ‘deals’ had disappeared that same day without him being told! Samsung’s purchase and registering of my mobile as the new owner, through its in-house systems, was undone by Samsung with a few strokes of a computer keyboard. It was like Samsung could reinvent the world at its own will and at its own pleasure, whatever the rights and costs of others. Samsung seemed unconcerned about the laws of the countries within which it operates.

Samsung is best avoided if at all possible. Something is clearly wrong at Samsung.

Never buy from Samsung!

"I ordered a Samsung odyssey + headset November 25th, 11/25/18. I was told the headset would ship 12/16/2018 and arrive before 12/24/18. I called multiple times since 12/16/18 to ensure it would still arrive before Christmas for I was leaving out I'd town and it is a gift for my nephew. On 12/19/2018 I was assured it would be and the tracking number might just be delayed in being sent out. I get a tracking number today 11/21/18 and it says it will be delivered 12/26. After Christmas. I called customer service. They said it was not their fault and I should have expected delays around Christmas. Infact I did expect delays and made multiple calls to ensure it was on schedule. I was insulted. Then I was actually told to call FedEx and complain to them and see if they can deliver it faster. Extremely unprofessional. Because of the fall through by Samsung to ship it in time, I asked if I could receive $10 promotional credit to spend back at Samsung. I was told it was not Samsung's fault that I only selected standard shipping. How is it not Samsungs fault for promising me a delivery time and not following through? I would have gladly paid more to ensure delivery before Christmas. After multiple attempts to talk to a higher up she said there is nothing they will do and they don't talk to customers. I was just asking for a little compensation for how upset this made me and was wanting to spend more money at Samsung. They told me they will not offer any compensation. After further attempts I was told to send and email and hope to receive a reply back from someone higher up. After this experience I may never make a purchase from Samsung again! I'm not trying to "get something for free." I feel I have been let down as a customer and the credit to spend at your shop would have been a nice courtesy gesture. Now I'm left with a red mark on my cheek and it is a lasting impression on my experience with Samsung. Amazon.com has never once treated me like I experienced for your customer service. They even gave a complimentary gift card of $20 for a shipping error on ups not even their side. The fact you guys completely disowned any fault in the matter is astonishing. If this is how your customer service runs I am surprised to see you still in business.

They are a joke!

"I got Note9, send phone for trade in, perfect condition but was declined cause they said i didnt remove my files which I did and they charge me back. But somehow my payment information they have didnt work so they sent me email to go and update my payment info and when i go there web site doesnt work (go figure) So I want to pay but i can't. Tried calling many times, talking on chat and nobody knows there what to do or how to do. So im stuck. No way to pay, not my fault and after 7days they gonna call for dept collector and hit my credit score really hard, which was already affected by Samsung Financing. DO GO THIS ROUTE. go to a carrier. NEVER SAMSUNG > Buy Apple maybe not that but stay away from samsung. !!!!!!!"

Horrendous customer service, even from representatives of the CEO's office

"Please do NOT buy any Samsung products unless you are willing to settle for a throw-away item, and horrendous customer service. Earlier this month, I contacted Samsung Support by telephone regarding my Galaxy Tab S2 (8.0, 4G) with the issue of a swollen battery. Sound familiar? They took my information, as well as the tablet information, and emailed me a repair order confirmation plus a UPS label to ship the tablet to the Samsung Repair Center in New Jersey. Shortly thereafter, I received an email that stated that due to the tablet being an international model, they could not fix it but would be returning it to me without service.

I then contacted eGlobal Central US, where I originally purchased the tablet, and they were of no help either. eGlobal Central US stated that they would not work on an out-of-warranty tablet.

I again contacted Samsung Support, this time by chat, and asked them where I could get this tablet serviced. The Samsung representative told me to take it to my local uBreakiFix, which I did. uBreakiFix informed me that they cannot fix this tablet either because it is an international model and that they must abide by Samsung directives as an "Authorized Service Center." Oddly enough, it was the Samsung Support representative, himself, who told me to go to uBreakiFix, knowing full well that this tablet was an international model.

In my final attempt to get a new battery for my tablet, I emailed the CEO of Samsung yesterday to lodge my complaint. One of his assistants called me this morning to tell me to ship it to China. I told him that was ridiculous. He said there was nothing that they can do about it.

I must state here that my Galaxy S7 has also been hit with the swollen battery issue which actually popped off the backplate of the phone. I took it to uBreakiFix for a battery replacement. They almost sent me away because they said that I had taken the phone apart in an attempt to fix it. *insert eyeroll here* Then they did not even want to handle it because the representative thought it, "might explode at any minute." *insert double-eyeroll here* They finally decided to fix it, and it cost a whopping $189 for a battery, almost the same amount as the phone is worth today. I currently have several other Samsung products, including a Galaxy S9 and another larger version of the Tab S2, but I am furious!

I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG DEVICE EVER AGAIN!!! I will also be sure to mention this experience to all of my friends and colleagues, and suggest that they pass the word.

couldn't give them zero stars.

"worst buying experience ever. destroyed my trade in phone. refused to take back new phone. finally took it back. then proceeded to tell me it was damaged. it was still in original packaging and shipping box. it has now been 3 months and no resolution. customer service and warehouse sub contracted out and they are all a bunch of idiots. no more samsung products for us! "

"The products are good but they can do so much better in customer service which in plain words sux!! It takes a lot to annoy me and their customer service representatives and clauses did not leave any stones unturned. I can narrate my story but you must not have time for this, and chances are you will end up buying samsung tv anyway, but if there is any chance a samsung employee is reading this, please try to do a better job in return of the huge amount of money we all give you!"

"My title says it all. These guys are a huge ****. You flagged my account because billing and shipping address are different. Cool. Understandable. After 2 weeks you continue to refuse my order because you want me to use a different method of payment. I had $2200 in financing. Why would I do that?"

Pésima Garantía Samsung Book 12

"Hola amigos!! Os resumo mi mala experiencia y admito cualquier consejo vuestro que me pueda ayudar. Hace unos años inicié mi andadura en “The Insiders” y, entre otras, el pasado año probé la tableta Samsung Book 12. Me pareció estupenda, con su fantástico procesador i5, disco SSD 128gb, …. Mi Yoga y mi Surface no conseguían ofrecerme las sensaciones que esta Samsung Book 12 me facilitaba. Solicité, tras el periodo de prueba y publicación de reseñas, quedarme con la tableta a un buen precio. Ahora, tras 12 meses, no arranca. Se queda bloqueada en el inicio, cuando aparece “Galaxy Book”. Y entonces comienza mi pésima experiencia con el Servicio Técnico Oficial SAMSUNG. Contacto con Servicio Chat que aportan mucha amabilidad, pero no solucionan nada. Es entonces cuando me la recogen para repararla, pero a los pocos días me envían un email con un presupuesto indescifrable, con muchas referencias y por un importe total de casi 800€, precio superior al valor que pague por ella. Tengo que suponer que quieren sustituir el disco duro, pantalla y placa base. Me envían foto con una flecha que indica rotura, cuando la tableta no ha sufrido golpe alguno mientras ha estado en mi poder. Y supuestamente encendía sin terminar de arrancar, pero no quieren asumir el coste de la reparación mediante la garantía obligatoria y legal de 24 meses, cuando se trata de un fallo interno. Me sorprende que una gran marca como SAMSUNG no se responsabilice de la reparación de los componentes defectuosos de sus aparatos en el periodo de garantía, cuando cualquier otra marca incluso de menor categoría lo hace. ¿No se dan cuenta que estas experiencias hacen que nos inclinemos a elegir una u otra marca? ¿No piensan que un consumidor insatisfecho es un foco de desprestigio exponencial de la marca entre amigos, familiares, compañeros de trabajo, ……? Esta experiencia no es nada comparable con Servicios Técnicos que ofrecen soluciones, claridad en los documentos que aportan y asumen los defectos de sus componentes y que ofrece un funcionamiento espectacular que podría nombrar. Afortunadamente tenemos mecanismos para continuar reclamando legalmente nuestros derechos y que este tipo de compañías como SAMSUNG no se aprovechen de los pequeños consumidores. Continuará."

"I have been with samsung since their first chips. Always taking on their side against apple but they didn't deserve that . I tried several time to get their promotion but theg keep sayinv there was a problem with payment . When I call samsung financing it said the problem was with samsung . Be Aware Never Trade your used phone for a new one, they will steal it with white gloves

"I send my super clean S7 Edge do all what they said about factory reset and send next day that I get the return box, they take 150 usd. for the trade towards the new phone, 4 month later they take 125 usd. out of my account and said that I have to do some other weird thing to the phone and that they are going to take possession of the phone for $25 dollars, we ask to charge the full price for the new phone and return the old one that we know its worth a lot more, they said not sorry, just stole it with white gloves THEY CHARGE MY ACCOUNT TODAY 6/202018 AND IT WAS PURHARCE ON 01/012/2018"

I paid them a few hundreds bucks and Samsung send me an EMPTY BOX!!!

"Everyone, please STOP buying anything from this fraud site.
I order an Samsung Gear S3 Frontier Smart watch from Samsung.com.
They(Samsung.com) shipped me an empty box and they refuse to refund me or send me a replacement.
They DO NOT take any responsibility.
They use UPS Mail Innovation to ship it. It is extremely slow, and the shipment uses 11 days to arrive my home as an empty box.
Obviously, the watch was stolen. After an 30 days investigation, they deny my request for a replacement or refund.
They kick me back to the shippers.
However, either UPS or USPS (we deliver me this empty box) refuse to take my claim since this UPS MI belongs to either UPS or USPS and the whole shipping is just a joke.
I am a loyal Samsung customer. I have had 2 Samsung cellphones, a set of Samsung SmartThings, a Samsung Tablet, a Samsung Robot Vacuum, a Samsung Printer, a Samsung Gear Fit.....
This is how Samsung treat me. They just screwed me up.
They treat me as a liar who lied to get another watch. I swear if I ever lied, I go to hell.
I paid them. I did nothing wrong but received an empty box which cost me a few hundreds dollars. My GOD!
I will never ever buy anything from Samsung. Samsung are shameless fraud!

stuck on back order ...

"I ordered a 970 evo when they were back ordered and it was set to ship at the end of may... but then that passed and I was told may 27th then july 3rd and then I saw them come in stock in the main store for normal people to get them in shipped in 1-3 business days. So I expected as a back order I would be ahead of people placing new orders on july 04th. but was I wrong it is now july 10th and people who have ordered on Monday have gotten there orders while myself who has been on back order since may 19th is still waiting, and all customer support can say is sorry, and copy and paste replies... 0/10 customer service and will be the reason I never buy from Samsung directly again.(now its some time this week of july 10th... what delay will I hear next....."

Doing business with Samsung Direct is dealing with the devil

"I ordered a Samsung TV from Samsung Direct on February 26, 2018. That was a HUGE mistake. After 2 weeks, they had yet to deliver the TV, so I called to cancel the order and bought another brand of TV from Best Buy. They still attempted to deliver the TV to my house. I refused delivery. The TV was returned to Samsung. I called Samsung about a week later and confirmed that they had received the TV. Samsung confirmed having received the TV. Problem is they still billed me for it and 10 phone calls later, they are still billing me for it. Each time I call, they say, "We just now put your credit thru on your account. Call back in 3-5 business days to confirm." Every time I call back, I get the same old story."

worst cutomer service ever!!

"I will never again in my lifetime purchase a Samsuck product!! Unfortunately I bought the bundle of household appliances when we remodeled our house; so I am stuck for a lifetime of misery with this company. Our refrig started leaking water after a year and half. They offered to replace but I wanted mine fixed - bad move on my part. The tech lied to me -t hen Samsung lied to me on numerous occasions. This whole process started on Feb 6th. I finally received my new refrig on May 22. I would call weekly to get an update on my refrig being replaced each time I was told a new lie and was told it would be 24-48 or 5-10 days before the next step would be completed!! at one point one lady was like "I am not sure why this has not shipped, this should have already been shipped"!! no kidding!! then the delivery system is jacked up 7 ways to Sunday!! had to deal with three difference companies for the delivery. And what are the chances that the day my refrig is going to be delivered, the driver has a flat tire on the delivery truck - my husband stayed home from work so he would be there from 10am-2pm to receive the refig.....it arrived about 4pm..... the whole process was a joke from beginning to end!! I do have a new refrig but I do feel I will be in the same boat a year or two from now. I have told and will continue to tell anyone and everyone I know to never buy a Samsung product; they may look good and sound good but this purchase will come back to bite you in the ---!!!!"
