Never again

"Long story but I’m all done with them. I’ve bought lots of gear there but I bought a Telecaster somewhere else. Took it to ash to fix. Manager said it’s not covered. I argued it was. He said where did you buy it. Told him. He said take it back there. So that’s what I’m going to do. "

don't waste your time

"Terrible experience, I waited 7 1/2 months for a back ordered guitar, before I gave up an went to Sweetwater.
I understand the back order and its just the way things are right now, but there was no communication , no answers, no return contact from Steven Segal one of their guitar reps. ( maybe he should stick with Karate Movies,and not do sales) he said he would contact the manufacturer to get more info. Never heard back. I called the manufacturer myself and received a reply from them in a day. I never heard back from anyone at Sam Ash that said they would look into it and contact me. Polite customer service people over the phone, just no follow up and it really makes customers feel unimportant...i wonder if they really use the recorded phone conversations for customer service training purposes as they say they do. They really need to change the way they do things. I was drawn in by the long term financing options they offered. I learn my lesson, Sweetwater from here on out. they treat their customers like gold there. Lots of follow up,emails updates, quality sales reps. even free candy when they send your order. Sam Ash should take a few lessons. I really hate writing a bad review, however if it helps someone avoid the headache then great. I really hope Sam Ash can get things turned around

Comically wrong order fulfillment, zero customer service afterwards

"I ordered a guitar off the website. Their shipping was 2 days as promised, which was great. Unfortunately, it was the wrong model, different color, and left handed. Comical how wrong this order was and I'm going to enjoy that story for a while, but hey, it happens sometimes. The resolution is what defines their customer service. After a 30 minute wait on the phone, I was told I would receive what I ordered when the other was shipped back. As this was a Wednesday, and I needed it Friday, I said I really needed them to speed this up, and I was told I would be called back in half an hour when they had the manager approval. No call obviously. I looked for a direct line to someone, but they only have the general number on the website. I didn't get a call for another day so this obviously wasn't going to happen. I had dropped their mistaken shipment back at Fedex the same day I received it, so I did my part. I cancelled my order and ordered something different from Sweetwater. Customer service is so easy sometimes. I would have been happy with them shipping the right one out that day, but nope."

If I could go lower then one I would

" Worst customer service ever. I played an order for a pedal on Wednesday . I got an email with a tracking number saying it shipped that night. Two days later the package hasn’t even left the shipping dock. Contacted customer service and was told there was nothing they can do that how the usps works. You mean to tell me the post office only picks up mail once a week? Rude customer service and doesn’t back their customer. Still waiting for the pedal to ship. Will never do business with again"

Terrible

"Its no wonder the reviews on the net are 1/5 stars. They ship defective garbage. Keyboard arrived defective right out of the box. Why? Because their shipping contract or staff or whatever ship a sensitive electronic instrument through ups or fedex or something, with almost NO! soft cushioning/packaging inside the box. Great attention to one of the most crucial things when selling instruments. I'll never buy anything from this incompetent place again."

No customer service at all!!

"I walked in the store because I wanted to look at digital piano keyboards. No one acknowledged me so i walked around and found the room with keyboards in it. I looked at them and played them. Then i asked a guy at the counter if he could get me someone i could talk to. He called on the intercom. No one came. I went to this guy 3 times for help and he just said i am trying. I waited for half an hour then left the store! This was the absolute worst shopping experience I’ve ever had!"

Bad Customer Service

"We went to the store 4 weeks ago with an instrument to sell. They took pictures and they got my phone number. They told me they will call me back to give me the value of the instrument. They never call me back. After 2 weeks, i called them, they told me the same thing. They will call me back as they got an answer from the technician which never happen. I'm still waiting from them to call me. The worst company and customer service ever. I would not recomend them to anybody."

do not buy, 45 day money back is a lie

"i purchased a marshall origin 50 combo ($688.99 w tax), it died a few weeks later. i purchased it in a store, due to covid the store was closed so i could not return it. i contacted them, they sent a return label, i ship the amp to them. i have an email confirming they have the amp and i am due a full refund. but, they just wont give the refund. when i call i get a new excuse every time. to be clear, they always say should get my refund or they don't know why i don't have it, but alas 4 months later still no refund. now i have had to go to my bank for action of this matter. the worst customer service ever. no wounder they are going out of business. do not buy from sam ash!"

Bate and switch at it's worst

"I ordered A new Hi Hat stand. I talked to a sales associate. I received $20 off. That's Sam Ash's regular promotion.
When the stand arrived it was a used or floor model. Filthy and only half wrapped in bubble wrap. The stand was dusty and clearly was either used or a floor model. I called the Sam Ash premier support line. They told me they were sorry and I could return the stand if I wanted. I asked to be sent a new stand and they said that would not be possible.
I've had great relationships with Sam Ash stores in NJ and in Nevada. Unfortunately The online store is run by crooks.

I request that you do not purchase from Sam Ash.
in a time when people should be pulling together Sam Ash is looking to take advantage. Great business model. Thieves.

First and LAST Purchase

"The Tourtek PA System I ordered worked for less than an hour, then shut off and would not turn back on. Confusing return process; Ebay sent a USPS return label 4 days after Sam Ash didn't respond to my return request, then Sam Ash sent me a FedEx label the net day and said I couldn't use USPS unless I paid for it (?) It took over 3 weeks and 4 phone calls before I received their refund back in my account. A polite and detailed email explaining my situation and expressing my frustration was not answered. Reviews here (61% are 1 star) and elsewhere make it clear to me that they are a profit focused corporation, with no concern for their customers' satisfaction. I will NEVER buy from Sam Ash again, and will suggest that everyone avoid them."
