IMO shipping was high, $9.39 for GROUND shipping, but they do carry a power supply that is hard to find, the EPower 450 watt Cheetah, and after reading some good reviews of it and the EPower 450 watt Jaguar, along with seeing very high amp ratings on all the rails, I decided to order. My major complaint, albeit not directly related to www.str8buy.com, is the shipping itself. They never contacted me or gave me a choice on if I wished the package to be "signature required", based on the tracking invoice webpage, I'm stuck with this. Second, they picked DHL, not Fed-EX or UPS. Two problems with that for me, a) Other then the airport, which is 40 miles from me, no local DHL office, so no-way for me to pick up the package at closing time if they do miss me and no-one else is home to sign (I live alone), b) The shipment is already late! I live in Idaho. Yet, the package started in City of Industry, California...and is now in Wilmington, Ohio. Yet was due today. I realize that shipping errors happen, but this is my first experience with DHL, and it looks like my last unless I accidently shop with another vendor who uses them. I haven't received the package (due to it being late...), but I won't update unless the item is damaged or they ship the wrong item. Otherwise, unless you see an update, assume I am pleased with the product and how they packed it.
Anyway, based on this, I now know that IF www.str8buy.com changes shipping vendors from DHL to Fed-ex or UPS, and if they lower their shipping costs (Newegg and ZipZoomFly has free shipping on most large items including PSU's for instance), I'd consider them again. But other then a hard to find item, like in this one instance, I'd only use them as an alternate choice at best, due to their choice of shipping.

"On 3/15 I ordered a $79 Tagan TG480-U01 pc power supply and a few other small items. Since I really wanted this specific hard-to-find supply, I consented to a $24.50 shipping fee! Within two hours I sent an email (their mailbox overflow caused half of my total emails to be returned unread) and left a phone message (no one answered the phone on several calls) to add a disk drive to my order. After several more phone calls, I got through and was told "no problem" it will be in your shipment.
When my order arrived by DHL, no disk drive! Again after several phone calls and emails I was told I would have to pay another huge shipping fee if I wanted it. I bought the same unit at www.zipzoomfly.com for less money and well under half the shipping fee.
After getting the disk drive, I assembled my new pc and plugged in the power supply--IT WAS DOA! On careful inspection the warrantee sticker was broken, as someone had openned the power supply case, and the warrantee card was missing. After several more phone calls and an email to get through, I was told to return it for replacement with a new unit. I asked for a cross-shipment, because I already experienced several delays by them.
$16 later, I had it delivered by UPS to them. NO ONE THERE TO RECEIVE THE FIRST RETURN DELIVERY. NO ONE THERE TO RECEIVE THE SECOND RETURN DELIVERY. More emails. Finally, the third delivery was accepted. NO CROSS SHIPMENT!
On 4/20 they shipped it back to me AT THE WRONG ZIPCODE. THE DELIVERY WENT TO THE WRONG STATE!. I had to do all the follow-up with DHL to get it rerouted. On 4/27 I received the unit. The same unit I sent out was repaired (thank goodness it DID work now!!!) and returned to me. This time the instruction manual was missing.
In the mean time I discovered that I could have purchased the same supply from www.ajump.com for $1 less WITH FREE SHIPPING. Well $40.50 in shipping charges and a month-and-a-half later, MY NEW PC IS FINALLY RUNNING, little thanks to str8buy.com. No apologies. No responsibility for the disk drive shipping cost. In fact, great difficulty in ANY communications. A previously returned DOA product. Do yourself a huge favor, BUY ELSEWHERE!

I received the MP3 player yesterday. Unfortunately, it does not work - it was dead on arrival. I called the company and was instructed to fill out an RMA form (view their RMA form at http://www.str8buy.com/dismansofdow.html). When I viewed the information on the form, I was horrified! I - the customer - will be responsible for paying all shipping costs to them and to the manufacturer?! They may / may not respond to my RMA request?! What kind of customer service is that? Just in case, I filled out the form and submitted it last night. So far, I've heard nothing back from them...and, given the comments from customers on reselleratings.com, I'm concerned.
