"I order for my customers frequently through this website and haven't had any problems. In fact, they ship-out and provide tracking relatively quickly--typically within 24 hours. From time to time I receive a promotional discount of about 3%. It's not a huge discount, but it's somthing. My only complaint is that they don't hold customer information for frequent buyers. Note that their customer service isn't reachable by phone, but they have always been quick to respond to email inquiries. I will continue to buy with confidence.

"This company and their website appear to be a big scam. They apear to have tried to pull a classic pricing bait-and-switch scam on me over the past 8 days. Last week, I searched on Google Shopping for a 1500 watt power inverter. I liked the PI15000X model, and Google Shopping offered me listings for this device from 31 stores. The cheapest pricing for the PI15000X inverter was from SJ Discount Tools, at #177.18, significantly lower than the next lowest price, which was about $218, and lower than the average (mean) selling price seen on Google Shopping for this device, which was around $253.
I proceeded to order the PI15000X inverter from them on Feb. 18, 2011. Within a few minutes, I received an order confirmation from them via email, confirming receipt of the order (at a price of $177.18 plus S/H charges). I blithely assumed, for the next 4 or 5 days, that all was fine with my order.

Then, on Feb. 23, I received an email from Katy at SJ Discount tools advising me that their listed price had been wrong for the device, and offering me the chance to buy the device instead for a "one time price offer" of $238 plus S/H charges. Strangely, when I checked their website, the listing page for the Solar PI15000X still read the old $177 price, even afer I force-refreshed my browser screen, as did their price listed at Google Shopping.

I quickly declined their "offer", telling them that I felt that they were trying to pull a classic price bait and switch scam on me; I asked them to immediately cancel my order and to return my funds. (I received an email several hours later confirming that they had done both. What fascinates me is that while they eventually raise the price for the device on their website to the $241 price range, their price for the device is still listed - as of late morning on Feb. 25, 2011 -- as the od $177 price, making their price the lowest offered for the PI15000X inverter.

Based upon my bizarre experience with them, coupled with the fact that it took them until Feb. 23, five full days (pleae note that two of those days were weekend days) after I had placed my order (during which time I had assumed that the item had been shipped and was on its way to me), I have decided that I will never do business with this company again. One further thing that rankled me was the email communication from Katy at SJ advising me that the initial pricing (which I had already paid) was incorrect was curt and abrupt, and entirely lacking any kind of apology for their supposed/putative goof-up. This raises my level of suspicion about this company and their sales tactics even higher.

All I can say is thank God that I rarely run into such bizarre obstacles (and companies that exhibit such bizarre behavior) on the web!

"BUYER BEWARE! I needed some tools for my job, ASAP. The only reason I ordered from this store is that they claimed that my tools would ship the next day. They lied! This is one of the growing number of unscrupulous online vendors that "drop ship." They wait until you make an order to order the product themselves. After charging my account immediately, they put my order on hold. They list nothing but a FAX number on their website. For phone order you must email them and request their phone number. After a lot of digging, I was able to find a phone number. It only reached a maze of voice mails for a number of companies. The only way to reach them was by email. When I got a response from my first contact (which took a couple of days) they told me my tools were "backordered" and would ship in a few days. We went back and forth with the emails, with them promising each time that I would have my tools in a few days. I demanded a refund on more than one occasion and each time they ignored my request and let me know that my tools were only a few days away. They continually missed their own shipping deadlines. The only bright side to this story is that I eventually got my tools, even though it took about a month. Please save yourself a lot of hassles and headaches and shop elsewhere. If I could rate them a "zero" I would."

"I ordered a box wrench from them on August 23rd. They status of the wrench was and still is "usually ships next business day". After 10 days I still didn't have it so I emailed them. They apologized and said it would go out soon. 10 days later I email again irritated asking for a ship date immediately or to cancel my order. They ignored my email. I emailed again asking that they cancel my order... ignored.

Finally I disputed the order with my credit card company. They immediately cancelled the order.

Don't trust these clowns. They're dishonest and their customer service sucks."
