"Bottom line is Royal PC Delivers. Got the 3 day special UPS and my item came coast to coast in the time frame. Plus, their website is one of the best on the web for computer products in appearance and functionality.

"Bought a PC from Royal Computer. As a new customer, and having read their skimpy 7 day return policy, I was a little wary, so I did extensive testing on the box as soon as it came in. Well, as it turned out there were some problems with it, but I called and as soon as I told the Support guy on the other end I had been a tech for 10 years and something didn't seem right about the box, he gave me an RMA immediately. They cross-shiped the replacement, which means they got authorization to bill me a second time if I didn't send back the bum box. I got the replacement in three or four days and it tested out fine. So, problems happen, but these guys took care of it. I'm thinking about using them for another purchase because of it too."

"I bought a sigma designs x card from Royal Computers, and went to return it 14 days later. Turns out that buried down in the legal section it states the orders can only be returned within 7 days of shipping (it took that long for me to receive the product!)

And, if you do get them to refund your money, they'll charge you a 15% restocking fee!

To add insult to injury, they won't even pay return shipping fees (you have to follow up with FEDEX yourself)

I guess there is something to be said about going with a more reputable company, not to mention doing your homework before clicking the buy button. This ended up being a $100 lesson for me.

"I ordered a flat panel monitor from them. After exactly one week, the online order status still said "PrintPrep". I called them and they told me the item was not in stock. I don't understand why they couldn't have contacted me a told me this, especially since their web-site doesn't accurately show if items are in stock. I would not recommend this seller."

"I purchased an SDM-X82 monitor. At the time, Royal had it for the least. Ship time was very good. However I had a problem with the monitor cable, and shipped it back to them. They were very helpful w/ that, but later it turned out my monitor had issues as well. They tested everything completely and shipped it back quickly. The Tech support and RMA people were very helpful,very friendly. Excellent service, would buy again."

"I purchased a Microsoft IntelliMouse from Royal. Not a major purchase, but since everything went smoothly, i thought i'd post this since the company doesn't seem to be doing so great in the ratings department. Order was shipped the day after i placed the order, and was here 4 days later. Everything was as advertised, and works perfectly. They did a great job, plus the price was about half what i could get it at a local store.

also, i thought i would just point out that unlike some people on here who have said that the shipping costs were "extremely high", that was definitely not the case with my order. I was charged $5.00 S&H for 5 day ground UPS, which if you know anything about UPS, is pretty close to what the cost would actually be.

"I order a Sager 5620 on 9\18\02 and it arrived on 9\25\02.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with this merchant. Great service, prices, correspondence, and they even checked in to see how I was doing with my new computer. I'd recommend them to anybody looking for a notebook.I just received my Sager 5620 today and I love it the speed is unbelievable , I can run Lotus,Ms works and AutoCad and be online at the same time. This thing is a work horse I love It. Compaq and Dell don't even have anything close to this. I shopped online for quite awhile before deciding to buy I used www.royalcumpter.com and saved over $150.00 versus www.powernotebook.com. Powernotebook appears cheaper but by the time you add and operating system and shipping and pay with a credit card the prices are astronomically high, not that I don't trust them but wiring someone cash seems a little risky!!!

"I place my order for a Firewire external IDE case with a 32X12X40 CDR/W drive installed in it. I found this reseller on Pricewatch.com and could not believe the low price (1/3 the local stores). I held my breath and ordered after seeing the low rating here. I placed my order at 12 noon local time. By 1:30 P.M. my order status changed from "processing" to Closed. When I called to find out why, I was pleased to find it had been filled and shipped. Within a few hours I had a tracking number emailed to me. The product arrived on schedule and performs unbelievably well! I just thought it deserved a positive response."

"The company recieved my order by phone after having trouble with the website! The order was confirmed July 28, 2002 and the order was held up and not sent until August 7,2002 with still a 4 day wait on getting product! Won't do business with this company again!"

"I completely agree with the comments posted below. I too ordered the Envision 15 in. LCD. I received an invoice # and a confirmation email. I don't know if they charged my credit card yet. About 14 hours later, I received an email canceling my order and stating that the price was double what had been confirmed. I responded to the email that I expect the monitor I ordered to be delived on the expected date at the price that I ordered it. We'll see what happens, but I'm not holding my breath. I would highly recomend that anyone considering doing business with Royal think twice.

"This company cancelled the order and tried to almost double the price on a monitor that they had listed for $200.00 in 3 different web sites.

When I called up and asked to speak to a mamnager they hung up on me.

They have not responded to my emails.

I have never experienced such rude and unscrupulous behavior. If this company goes bankrupt in a cloud of scandal, I won't be suprised or saddened.

Good riddance royalpc!

"Ordered on 7/23, on 7/31 i recieve an email about my order, basiclly saying that my order was pending not shipped yet. However my credit card had been charged already.

The reason stated for my order still pending was this (actual quote from E-mail) "your order has been pending due to address nee to be verfiy on the card issuing bank. However, your bank won't allow merchant to verify address."

Of course when i called i was placed on hold for 10minutes the first time only to be told there was no one avaible to Cancel my order. and to try back later.

i would steer clear of this company.. there is sure to be better places on the web to do business from.
