" Good diagnostic support. Having purchased the extended warranty. I was not expecting to have to fit the parts myself, and buy specialist long reach screwdriver to even get into the LR3. The video did not show how to assemble the pinch sensory satisfactorily , litter robot have not addressed this. It took a lot of struggle and time. The saving of time was the only reason I agreed to this option. As litterobot are saving on labour and postage , ( included in the warrenty) you would have thought you could send the specialist screwdriver with the parts! I have basic tools, in fact three Philips head screw drivers, non of which reached . I had to purchase specific long reach tools only for this job. No other option other than diy was offered to me. "

We wish to inform you that in the future if you do wish to request a repair by one of our Domestic Robot Professionals and you are able to wait for the repair to be processed, you may indeed request this, Most customers prefer to not wait and find it more convenient and are comfortable and capable of performing the DIY process of repairs to their units and our Domestic Support representatives do provide step-by-step guidance and answer questions about the repair process.
Not all Manufacturers allow DIY repairs and if this is performed by the customer, it may void the warranty, however, for the Litter-Robot units, this is allowed in order to avoid customers and their furry friends going without the units for an extended period of time. In some situations, manufacturers may offer optional toolkits or repair kits for purchase separately. These kits may contain specialized tools that can make repairs easier but are not included as part of the standard warranty. Repairing a Litter-Robot unit simply requires a few basic tools and supplies such as a Phillips-head or flat-head screwdriver to open the unit and access the internal components. The specific type and size of screwdriver required can vary depending on the model, Cleaning Supplies: Cleaning solutions, cloths, and brushes can be handy for cleaning the interior of the unit, especially if there are clogs or buildup of litter and waste and last but not least, Safety Gear: Depending on the nature of the repair, it's a good practice to wear safety gear such as gloves and safety glasses to protect yourself.
