"Ordered a power supply unit for my tv. The new part arrived very quickly, but unfortunately did not resolve my tv issue. Obtained a RMA number and returned part. Three weeks later have yet to receive refund credit. Email from support said it should take 10-14 days, but well past that. Telephone calls to this company, or their sister Tri-State Modules is useless. They do not answer the phone and voice mails are not responded to. Worst customer support I have experienced."

"Bought a power board for my Samsung TV, the part they sent was defective, looked on their website for return policy, it sucks. 20% restocking fee and no refund on shipping. The damn part cost $50 US and the shipping $59 US (live in Canada) then you add the cost I would have to pay to ship back. No point, so I have to live with it, $144 CDN mistake.

Best thing I can do, is to warn others away from this company.

"be aware if this company, I purchased a main board from Tri-state module and it arrived defective. so I was going to order another from a different vendor. this time being more aware. I found RIVER VIEW Electronics, checked reviews and needed to see where they ship from to get an idea how long it will take to arrive. WELL guess what they both operate out of the same address using different DBA. both have been removed from the better business bureau. be aware of all their feedback and reviews"

"I was VERY dissatisfied by this merchant... I called to verify the bulb I was getting was OEM Philips bulb. They said yes, and upon receipt of the bulb, it was not! I called to return it and they said it would be a 25% restocking fee and I would have to pay the shipping even though it was their mistake!! Terrible customer service! I will never shop here again and I do not recommend you do either. The REAL Philips bulb I was looking for was $20 more on Amazon. Go there and buy your bulb! The moral of the story, I'm stuck with this crappy bulb. I'll let you know how it turns out! :("

"DO NOT BUY FROM RIVER VALLEY ELECTRONICS.

On 02/04/2012 I purchased a power supply board for a Vizio Plasma TV from them. The TV would come on with picture and sound and shut off after a short time.

I received the power supply board from them and installed it in the TV. I turned on the TV to find that there was no picture but sound was there. TV has taken a step backwards.

I contacted Cindy Rosser of River Valley and she advised me that her technician says the main board is the problem.

They sent me a second power supply board without paperwork. I installed it and not the TV had no sound or picture and the indicator light on the front did not light up.

I ordered the main board and installed it. With this main board I tried the two power supply boards I got from them and the one I had and had a TV that did nothing.

I put my original parts back in the TV and now the TV will come on and work for a short time and turn off. I am back to square one.

I obtained authorizaton to return the power supply board and the main board. I also packed the second power supply board up in the original packages that I received the boards in and shipped them back to River Valley. I tracked the shipments and they were signed for by Putsel.

The guarantee posted by River Valley states a full refund for defective parts and a 20% charge for parts returned for a refund.

I have not received a response from River Valley to my follow up email. I finally reported this theft to my Credit Card Company.

I have been billed $161.98 for JUNK. It is my understanding that I should receive a credit for this amount. The most that they say they will charge for merchandise returned for credit is 20% or $32.39. This would have me getting a refund of $161.98 or $120.59.

On March 18, 2012 they gave me a credit for $74.39. THEY HAVE STOLEN A MAXIMUM OF $87.57 AND A MINIMUM OF $55.20 FROM ME.

APPARENTLY THEY OBTAIN DISCARDED TV'S AND STRIP THEM FOR PARTS. THE POWER SUPPLY ON THE VIZIO HAS A REPUTATION FOR FAILING AND SINCE VIZIO'S PARTS SUPPLIER GETS OVER $400.00 FOR THIS PART RECERTIFIED RIVER VALLEY HAS A DEAL THAT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. THIS IS BECAUSE IT IS NOT TRUE.

VIZIO BASICALLY RECOMMENDS THAT THESE PLASMA TV NOT BE REPAIRED AS IT IS NOT COST EFFECTIVE. THE ENTIRE TV WAS SELLING FOR JUST OVER $400.00. VIZIO APPARENTLY ONLY ASSEMBLES THESE TV'S FROM PARTS OBTAINED FROM SAMSUNG. THEY ALSO HAVE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE.

RIVER VALLEY'S CHANCES OF GETTING A GOOD POWER SUPPLY FOR ONE OF THESE TV'S IS SLIM TO NONE.

DON'T LET THEM SEND YOU THEIR GARBAGE AND MAKE THEIR MONEY ON THE RETURN WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK.

"Don't order from this company.
If they claim to procure parts from damaged televisions, why do they have 28 Panasonic control boards in stock and only 1 Panasonic Main board in stock? I am under the impression that control boards are a hotter item....
I ordered a main board which failed burn in test. I then ordered a replacement before sending in the RMA to expedite the repair. I was under the impression that my service center would be spared the restocking fee if I enclosed a copy of the new order number.....nope!
The replacement I ordered was the last one they had in stock. Even more interesting is how they magically put one into stock the same day my RMA board arrived at their facility via UPS......Part# TNPH0692ABS Hmmmmm......
This company doesnt have too long before it's exposed for what it is and it goes out of business. Avoid large orders from these clowns because when they tank, you'll be left waiting for parts that never come.

"they have really bad customer service, i bougth a main board for vizio, everything was good until i'd installed, the board didn't work, I'd call them to make a claim, but they never take my calls, if message left, they never call me back, just one time the answer my call but they dont want to exchsnge the board or give my money back,as a reference, I'm a professional and I have my own bussines in Dallas Tx, and I been a costumer for this company since may 2011, but I decided to not make a purchase anymore from this company"

"I ordered the power supply Dec. 26th, rec'd it within 3 days. It was packed very securely and documented well. However, the board was defective. I got very good service in returning the board.
