"This company knowingly sold my company a 7 year old product labeled as brand new at the new price of over 2K. The machine was actually only worth a few hundred dollars. After having a certified third party technician come and assess the situation we contacted restauranttory.com and they of course fixed the situation with an actual new machine but not once apologized or followed up at all. They tried to get us to keep the machine that they falsely sold to us. They are worthy of a law suit. I only ask that the buy beware and not be fooled and go through much expense trying to fix the situation as my company did. We ended up wasting hundreds of more dollars fixing the situation. Please beware."
"I purchased something for 30.00-paid 18.00 to ship a small item! The item did not work for us. I could not return it without paying a 15% restock fee and my cost to ship it back....or they wanted me to contact the manufacturer to complain the part was faulty. The part was not faulty- just a crappy part!
It would cost me more just to try to get a refund!
I had horrible customer service, the shipping cost are super inflated- and I will never purchase from here again! "
"Placed an order from them, never got confirmation so I decided to call to make sure everything was ok... never got a call back... lost a customer of my own waiting on product. weeks later the package came (after never getting a call back and no longer needing the items). Finally I got in touch with them the day after shipment came and they wouldn't take the items that were no longer needed back without charging a $25 shipping cost plus a ridiculous 15% restocking fee. I am very disappointed and never plan to order from them again."
"After placing an order on 1/23/17 for a Hoshizaki KM-61BAH and HS-5061, totaling $1566.45 I received an email the following day stating "we are out of stock on these items and do not have an ETA for when we will be receiving more." This seemed odd because both items are current offerings from the manufacturer so I called to find out more information regarding my order. Apparently Hoshizaki had a recent price increase and it would have resulted in me paying $70 more (total) for these items. Rather than call me to explain the price increase a Ms. Taylor Safford chose to make up a story about the items "not being in stock" as the reason for the order cancellation. I highly recommend not using this company to avoid similar problems. KaTom.com gets my order, & future business now!! "
"I was looking for a Hoshizaki HS-5061, I buy about 30 of these a year and they had the item advertised for less than $230, which would be a great price for this item, Well when I clicked on it the price changed to $270. I called and they told me they have a glitch in their site. I ordered anyway because it was the best price advertised at the time. I placed the order on 4/28/16, Item still hadn't shipped by 5/6/16 - when I called to ask they said it was a special order and couldn't tell me when it would ship. I asked to cancel my order and they told me they have 5% restocking fee. I then checked the website and the item I ordered it was listed for $239. I asked about that and they said it was a glitch and even if I reordered and the order went through they wouldn't honor that price. (seems like they have a lot of glitches.)
I'm really frustrated and don't feel like this company has any integrity whatsoever. If you order be prepared for a nightmare."
"I ordered a standard water filter and they charged my credit card. It never showed up so I called customer service and they told me it will take 4 to 6 weeks because it is a special order item but it is stocked by many other companies. I need it now so I asked them to refund me and they told me that they are charging me a 5% fee for processing a refund.
I will never do business with them ever again. I am contacting my bank to dispute the transaction and get me my money back. I am also going to file a complaint with the Pennsylvania department of consumer affairs and the Pennsylvania Banking Department.

"If price point compared to other retailers is most important to you then go with RestaurantTory.com. I paid $90 less than any other site online for a set of knives. Pretty sweet deal. After reading about how fast they were at shipping I was excited to get my product. After 3 days in pending status I emailed customer service and was told that the warehouse was backed up and the knives would ship by the end of the week. The next Monday rolls around and the order is still in pending status. I email again and I'm told that the warehouse is still really backed up but the knives would ship no later than Wednesday of that week. Thursday morning I check my email and find no tracking info and the order still in pending status. I call and speak to Mindy Farman who apologizes and says that the knives will ship by Friday. Then she tells me that the knives were actually special ordered because they weren't in stock. (That would have been nice to know when my order was placed) The knives did ship on Friday and I received them the following Wednesday. However, of the 24 piece knife set that I ordered only 14 are delivered. Sigh... Very frustrating. I called customer service and they are now sending me the remaining knives. So they are making it right, but this whole transaction was not handled very well. "
