"I definitely want to be part of a class action lawsuit because I purchased a 5 year warranty for $350 and all contact information for this company is a dead end. There is no way to get a hold of anyone, and to make matters worse the company I purchased the warranty through was purchased by another company so there is no customer information in their new database for me to receive a refund! I totally was just screwed out of $350 and now have a irreparable television! I hope something is done about this."

"Absolute nightmare....

Purchased a Samsung 52" LCD TV in Nov of 2006 with at 3 year extended warranty from Repairtech. TV will not power up. It has been three weeks since my initial claim submittal on Repairtech's website. About once a week, I am recieving emails saying that they are having trouble finding a technician in my area....

I understand that I am probably screwed at this point and the warranty is worthless, but I would be interested in hearing if anyone is having ANY success... please contact me at ****@****.

"I just received information that RepairTech has been purchased by a company called the AM Trust Group. They will be operating under the name RepairClaim. Both have websites so you may be able to contact one of them and receive more information. Here is a phone number I was given ***-***-****. Good luck and please post any results of contacting this company."

"Seriously, can we take these guys to court? This could be the worst, lying, beating around the bush bull**** I have ever encountered. Not only are they impossible to get a hold of, all they do is redirectme or give me some other crap to try and delay my issue. I have a Samsung DLP 56" HLR-5667W with purple and pink snow on the upper 2/3rds for the TV. Purchased May 11, 2006 with a $500 MyRepairTech 3-year Extended Warranty.

After 6 weeks they have casually informed me there is no one in my area that can service my TV. I LIVE IN SAN DIEGO! We not talking some small city in Montana that populates a dozen people, four bears and a couple ducks. Hell, either way I paid $500 for this, I don't care if they have to fly from the Philippines to fix my TV!

Ughh, so frustrating... after reading the BBB and this site I have concluded that we are all screwed. If anyone would like to further pursue legal issues with this company I have all my receipts and paperwork and would be more than willing to take them down. Email me.. Derek.. at ****@****.

Thanks guys

"RIPPED OFF - I bought a TV from D&M Online, Inc. of 20283 State Rd. 7, Suite 300, Boca Raton, FL 33498 ***-***-**** which is owned by Dmitry and Marina Stepensky. They sold me a three year RepairTech Warranty and today the TV is broken. I called the RepairTech phone# I was given ***-***-**** and was referred by recording to ***-***-**** and that number gives me a recording that says "This is Verizon, your call cannot be completed as dialed". I would like to work with others in this thread to find and prosecute these scoundrels. Thank you for your posts thus far. The address on the back of my extended warranty sleeve is RepairTech Inc., Bayonne, NJ. Their website domain name is paid up. If we act fast we can get a court order to find out who the principles are and get something out of them or put them out of business or both. They may be in partnership with some of the vendors selling these warranties. Thank you all again for your posts with location information thus far.

1-20-09 TV won’t turn on. Tried to call RepairTech. No good telephone numbers at ***-***-**** or ***-***-**** as described above. I read the reviews on line. Very few were good at all. The contact info on the back of my original packet is 454 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ 07002 tel: ***-***-**** fax: ***-***-****.

Check out these posts where one person is in touch with the NJ State Attorney’s General Office: http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/repairtech-c129431.html It lists the following address: RepairTech Inc. 485 US Hwy 1 South, Iselin, New Jersey 08830

Another complaint site (lady in San Diego): http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/393/RipOff0393622.htm

Everybody keep all your receipts.

2-27-09 I filed with NJ Division of Consumer Affairs, Office of Consumer Protection on line one week ago. They followed up via email two days ago and asked for supporting documentation which I have supplied. I gave up on RepairTech after they failed to respond to my calls, email and faxes and after two weeks bought a power supply for my TV and had a repairman install it.

I wrote to Amazon and advised them about RepairTech and recommended they cease selling RepairTech products until the matter could be sorted out.

WHO ARE THE PRINCIPALS OF THIS COMPANY? WHERE ARE THEIR ASSETS?

I went to www.nj.gov/njbgs and for $5 I purchased a status report. As of today 2-27-09 this is what it says:

So, their address is listed as deliverable. Is this info contrary to the poster who listed the company as being in receivership? Will they ever get their act together? If I file in small claims in my state and get a judgment can I enforce it? That is the question I think we all have. So, who can post their personal info? Who are we dealing with? Are they trying hard or hardly trying?

Next step is a letter (with POD) to Cruz and Nakash to advise them of potential legal actions.

This is not fun.

3-27-09
My letter bounced back. It seems Yvelisse Cruz and Tina Nakash, and others most likely, have taken our money. If anyone can to post their addresses and location of their assets it would be appreciated. Common people, some of you must get to Jersey or have friends there that can help get these crooks.

"DON'T BUY A WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! You can't get anyone on the phone and when you do they give you NO details of what is going on and there is ZERO follow-up from them.
I purchased a Toshiba 62" (part number 62HM196) in December 2006 from ButterFly Photo on invoice number BFW417810 and also added a 3 yr television warranty (28303009993) and a 3 yr bulb replacement warranty (52390003530) from RepairTech. After 1.5 years of functioning perfectly I got home one day and the TV wouldn't turn on due to the bulb not working. I went through the instructions to try and reset the system and tried all the troubleshooting to no avail. I called RepairTech and here's the troubles I've gone through so far:

October 19, 2008- Spoke with Jossy Nunez at RepairTech and got the instructions to box up the bulb and send it back to RepairTech for replacement.

November 3, 2008- Mailed the damaged bulb back to RepairTech (UPS tracking number- 1Z37X5920345102520). They said they would have a new bulb to me in 7-10 business days.

November 24, 2008- Had not heard back from anyone at RepairTech to confirm receipt of the lamp so I decided to call in. I called multiple times throughout the day and received a busy signal everytime I called. When I finally got through to the automated attendant, it hung up on me three consecutive times as I was making my way through the menu. I finally reached a lady named Diane (extension 218). She checked my claim number in the system and said that it had not even been looked at yet. She said that she would tell the technician to go ahead and check it and she gave me her extension and told me to call back the following day for an update.

November 25, 2008- Left message for Diane. Never heard back from her.

November 26, 2008- Left message for Diane. Never heard back from her. Called again later that day and the person that answered the phone was rude and said that their system was down and I'd have to call back in the morning, which was Thanksgiving day. I asked if RepairTech would be open on the holiday and he said yes and hung up on me.

November 28, 2008- Called and the outgoing message said that RepairTech was closed for the holidays.

December 1, 2008- Called but the automated line said there was too high a call volume and made me leave a message in the general voicemail box. Never heard back from anyone.

December 1, 2008- Left another message from Diane. Never heard back from her.

December 2, 2008- Left message in general voicemail box. Never heard back from anyone.

December 2, 2008- Spoke with Butterfly Photo who explained that RepairTech was going through a transition and that's why no one was returning phone calls.

December 5, 2008- Arrived home from a business trip to find a shipment from RepairTech that contained a bulb but there was no packing slip. No one told me that it was shipping and there was no replacement notice so I didn't know if it was a different bulb than the one that I sent in as nothing was in the box except packaging supplies and the box with the bulb in it. I was excited to finally have this over with but it was short lived because I put the "new" bulb in the TV as the instructions indicated and the TV still would not turn on as it should. This leads me to believe that the damaged bulb that I sent in was returned to me somehow.

December 8, 2008- Got a call from Imoun who left me a message around 4:30p CST. I tried immediately to call back but it said the offices where closed for the day.

December 9, 2008- Tried to call Imoun back, left a message, have not heard back.

December 10, 2008- Tried to call Imoun back, left a message, have not heard back.

December 15, 2008- Called RepairTech and left a message in the general mailbox. Have not heard back from anyone. Called Butterfly Photo again and was given this email address to try and get in touch (****@****).

December 15, 2008- Sent email to Imoun, have not heard back.

December 18, 2008- Sent email to ****@****, have not heard back.

January 9, 2009- Called in but found out that RepairTech is not open on Fridays.

January 12, 2009- Called in but the automated system said too high of call volume and to try again later, no voicemail offered.

January 12, 2009- Called Butterfly Photo back and they said that the RepairTech transition has caused a bunch of problems and to send an email to ****@**** and ****@****.

January 14, 2009- Got an email from Imoun telling me to go to their website and register a claim (AS IF I HADN'T ALREADY DONE THAT!). I re-registered the claim and sent him back an email saying I had done so and he replied someone would get back with me.

January 15, 2009- Got an email from Barbara saying that the reason I had trouble getting to someone was because they had a fire at their previous office. She denied my claim saying that my bulb had reached it's "expected lifespan". Ridiculous! I only had it for less than two years!

So, obviously this has been a huge hassle trying to get this resolved. I paid $349 for the TV warranty and $199 for the bulb warranty only to have a warranty rejected. The bulb warranty was supposed to kick in AFTER the manufacturer's warranty expired. Bologna! I ended up just getting on Ebay and buying a new bulb for $130. Save your money and DON'T buy a warranty from these guys!!!

"I purchased an extended bulb and product warranty from RepairTech Inc on 10/16/2005 for $498 (Samsung DLP HL-R6167W 61" total cost of purchase $3993.93). Fortunately, I have never had to request service until my TV went out and I contacted them on 11/24/2008. It took me days of waiting on hold (once for 1 1/2 hours, then hung up on) and leaving messages to finally talk to someone. Rep Jason had me fax in the invoice and warranty copies, and stated it would be from one to four business days before I would receive service. By December 8th, not only did I not hear from any service tech, I was also unable to reach a representative a second time. I called every day after that the phone message stated the business wass open. When I finally spoke with someone again, the rep stated I had to register at the claim site, then someone would be out in 5 business days, again nothing. Next I managed to email and after I sent MANY MANY emails, I finally spoke with Joe Saieda, who said it is a bulb and it is not covered (though I have a warranty, and Butterfly Photo stated at purchase they would replace up to 3 bulbs before warranty expiration), and they won't do anything. When I keep disagreeing as to what is covered and what is wrong (everything I can find shows it is a color wheel, not sure about a bulb also), he tells me to fax the invoice, warranties AGAIN to Iman Mounesa, and he will call when he receives it. He does not call of course, and when I send him MANY emails also, Iman calls and says it is the bulb and is not covered. When I disagree, he asks me to fax the warranties again that I just faxed to him. These are stall tactics this company uses. I also put in a BBB complaint, which they failed to respond to. I am now looking at repairing it myself so I can watch the SuperBowl, but it will not end here. I have contacted them one last time, and I have also contacted a Class Action Attorney. If they do not take the case, I will probably file in small claims court to at least get back the cost of the parts and warranty costs.

For the rest of you, emails are: ****@****, ****@****, ****@****, ****@****

I think I only heard from him because I sent MANY repetitive emails to the first email address, and that goes to CEO Joe Saieda's Blackberry....... Good luck if you have this warranty!

"STAY AWAY!!! CHECK Better Business Bureau Rating!!!!!!!!
I purchased a 3 year warranty on my Nikon Cool Pix 7600 Camera from Repair Tech. The company should rename themselves Rip-off Tech. The battery door clip broke (as many of them do because of a design problem as I later found out). As directed by Repair Tech, I sent the camera to their 'authorized dealer' Precision Camera (no precision at this company). Precision said the camera had physical damage. Repair Tech said the battery door repair was not covered under the warranty. The camera was not dropped or immersed in any fluid. The latch broke from normal wear which is covered by the Extended Service Contract. Repair Tech refused to repair the camera under the warranty which I purchased for $29.99. I called a ton of times and the calls are forwarded to a voice mailbox in which no one has returned my call (left over 15 messages). Precision said the repairs would be $145 including labor and parts. I purchased a new camera for the same cost which is better and faster than the Nikon. I have requested in writing and voice-mail that the $29.99 paid for the extended service contract be refunded to me as they did not honor the contract. Repair Tech should be required to contact all of their contract holders and either apologize or refund the service contracts if they do not intend to honor them. I have spent 30 hours trying to get the camera repaired between, calls to get it repaired, sending it for repair, finding out what the repair delays were, finding out why the repairs wouldn't be covered under the contract I purchased, getting the camera sent back to me and follow-up to try to get my initial service contract fee refunded. This is very sad and very illegal.

"This story is about claim #6141822

I bought a Panasonic HD Camcorder through Barclaysphoto in eBay. Together with the camcorder, I also bought the Repairtech Platinum Protection Service Plan. I have regretted this very much!

The claim was filed primo june 2008 with Repairtech.

Initially the handling by Repairtech was ok, I was told how to deal with the claim and the repair. Several mails from me gave Reparitech updated information about the progress of the repair, and also about the amount (USD 514) for the repair when finished. Then the problems started. They changed the contact person, and they started to question the claim, and took several actions to check whether it was just. Every time they were contacted by me, another question arose, thereby delaying the refund of the money.
I confirmed every phone call by e-mail, but no written answers were given.
Finalyy, after lots of discussion, the contact person got acceptance to pay me by her bos. I confirmed the decision by mail, no written confirmation or response was given by Repairtech. Payment should be within 6 to 8 weeks from 2. october 2008.

I sent several reminder mails to Repairtech but no reply was given although I got confirmatiion that the mails were received.

When finally phoning medio december, I was not able to reach anything but an answering machine saying that therer were no one available for the time being. All my phones were confirmed by mails.

My last mail was sent yesterday, after having stated that I would give my rating if there still was no response. When I confirmed the last phone call by mail, my contact persons mail addresses were not recognised. Howeever, I have the last months also sent a copy to Barcalys Photo and the Repairtech contact mail. The mails are confirmed received. No answer either from Repairtech (or Barclays Photo) has been received.

In addition, the Repairtech home page has been updated so that it is close to impossible to get in contact with the company.

I feel that this company (Repairtech) is not a reliable company, and I warn everybody that intend to buy their seervice plan, do not do it, it is now a fraud! Maybe the company has gone bankrupt? Who knows?

"STAY AWAY!

As far as I can tell they are a complete SCAM. I managed to get through once for a bulb warranty, they gave me an address to send it to, which I did, and it was undeliverable.

They don't answer phones and now have a secret claim site, www.repairclaim.com which was provided to me by the dealer. I submitted a claim for a BULB REPLACEMENT WARRANTY on 11/24/08 which doesn't expire until 2011 and they emailed back that the bulb has expired and they can't replace it! This warranty is specifically designed to replace worn out bulbs!

Also, they have changed their address to somewhere in Florida.

To summarize... this appears to be a total rip-off and I am sorry I ever bought this phony warranty

"After reading the reviews about Repair Tech I can say,"Me, too." I've been through everything described. So far I have refused to pay the repair bill to get my camera back. I went out and bought a new one and I plan on sitting this out. I am also beginning to wonder why Precision Camera continues to accept repairs from this warranty company since they say it is an ongoing problem. Perhaps they are part of the scam. I called 47th Street Photo from whom I purchased the warranty. They continue to sell them. The person I talked to denied being aware of a problem. I asked to speak to the buyer and was refused. So, I will not be doing business with them anymore assuming they are still around. They filed for bankruptcy the day I called. Then, I went to the Better Business Bureau in Trenton, NJ, on line and found 54 complaints against Repair Tech. I am now waiting the results of a complaint I filed through them. If that gets me nowhere I intend to contact the state attorney general. I will also check out Precision Camera which is located in Connecticut to see if there are complaints about them. It took me a while to sort out what was going on. I felt like the monkey in the middle. I concluded that Repair Tech was probably the perpetrator."

"Bunch of thieves. Don't buy their warranty because it is a waste of money and you will not get anything from them. Try contacting them at their 800 number and you won't be able to even speak with a representative. You will be asked to leave a message due to high call volume, and your call will never be returned. Unfortunately, I did not read these reviews about them when I bought their warranty. Don't do the same thing."
