Horrible

"I rented a vacation condo in Florida with ocean walk properties through redawning. It was a nightmare !!! They charged my card 3 times at rate of almost $900. I had to fight to get 2 of them refunded. The I drive 23 hours to Florida and the room was not even booked!!! So I had to get another room and they will NOT refund the money . They blamed booking.com booking.com blamed them and ocean walk properties . It’s a joke !!!! NEVER book anything through redawning on booking.com or TripAdvisor or any other travel sites "

Unlisted fees

"I booked a room online for $171 a night for 2 nights and yes I expect to be charged taxes, but only after booking did I see an additional $284 charged for cleaning fees!!! Nowhere does it disclose before booking that there is this ridiculous fee. It's too late to cancel so now I'm stuck with a 2 night stay for over $700. This will be taken up with the Better Business Bureau for false advertising. "

terrible service, avoid avoid avoid

"Booking failed to go through even though Expedia initially said it was available so we booked elsewhere then discovered Redawning had charged my credit card and then wont respond to emails to resolve the matter. Clearly they are not interested in sorting this out, had to go through dispute process with my credit card supplier."

Refused to give a refund

"I would recommend RedAwning Vacation Rental. They do not honor their word. They said they were going to refund the cost of the rental and then they changed their mind and said they will not refund me the money."

The Worst

"This the absolute worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They canceled our booking 4 times in a 2 weeks time either the most bs reasons. The last time was less than 24hrs before we were supposed to check in and the could care less. Stay away from this hot garbage slumlord. "

"This company is a total scam. I rented a room and when we got there was smelly and flithy!!. The guys there G R was thuggish and very unprofessional. WE WALKED RIGHT OUT after HE BECAME VERY CONFRONTATIONAL. should be reported to law enforcement."

Unreliable

"I booked a 2 bed 2 bath, received a confirmation number and had 50% charged to my card. The following week I received an email that the place I booked really wasn’t available, and they sent me a “comparable” property that was 1 bed 1 bath that was not as big, close to my event, or equal in star ratings. It is unfortunate that they advertise one property, let you pay for it and plan your trip, then try and switch you to something lesser. There are other 2 bed 2 bath options available for more money, but that is not offered. Instead I am at square one planning again on my own and have to way 7 business days for a credit. I will not book through them again. "

Buyer Beware!!!

"I attempted to speak with a live person on Thursday 2/28/19 and was advised by a computer voice to send an email to guest@redawning, so I Did. Today is Monday 3/4/19 and I have yet to hear from anyone and I am out $572. Incompetence and lack of customer service appears to be the norm here. Be careful and move along!"

Extremely poor communications rental company

"First let me say I think twice before writing a review that could cause a negative regarding a company. I am an owner of a condo that I've rented to interested clients for over 13 years. Using such websites as VRBO, HomeAway, Trip Advisor, Airbnb, and Flipkey to fill our condo, it has been very successful with over 200 days average rented per year. I decided to sign up with Redawning to see if they could be helpful. I'm very well versed after 15 years, in knowing what needs to be done to get signed up. Moshe Badillo is the representative for Redawning for the area our condo is located in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. After contacting him via telephone, he said he would get me in touch with his helper, Natalie Gallardo, to get our property signed up. After waiting one week without hearing from her, I contacted Moshe once more and finally received communication from Natalie. Natalie said a contract needed to be signed for me to have our condo listed. She said it would come within a couple days. After, more than 10 days, nothing arrived. I do not want to sign up with a company that does not live up to their word. It seems all their employees are similar in the concern for taking care of their clients. On another note, I have never used Redawning in a search to find a location to rent for myself, so I know nothing about that end. JUST LET ME SAY THAT ANY OWNER CONSIDERING USING REDAWNING TO LIST THEIR PROPERTY...STAY AWAY!! There are better websites to utilize in comparison. By the way, Redawning charges 25% above and beyond the listed price for such websites as Airbnb, VRBO etc.
To rent a location thru them, any client is getting hosed big time financially. Obviously there are many owners who feel the same way since most of the ratings for this company are no higher than 1-2 stars.

Horrible Business Dealings

"Made a reservation through Bookings.com, which I have used for 10 years, no mention of a deposit. Never have I ever paid a deposit with Bookings.com!! RedAwning charged my credit card for 1/2 of the rental. it took them about 5 seconds to process this charge. Since I did not agree to this deposit, I cancelled my reservation as soon as I could and then ask for a refund from RedAwning, they advised me it would take 5 day to process a refund!! I contacted my credit card and disputed this charge and got my money back. I also opened a Fraud Claim against RedAwning. Will never use Bookings.com again.

I also read on Better Business Bureau other RedAwning problems, there were 64 complaints against them.

Beware of Bookings.com and RedAwning.

REDAWNING is a TOTAL rip off! WAY overpriced (like 2x 4x 6x!!!).

"Call where you want to stay directly and book a room/unit yourself for WAY LESS and not have it repeatedly canceled on you as your vacation window approaches (I see this has happened to MANY people (also see their BBB page)! As someone else stated, they have a ton of rentals on eBay at RIDICULOUSLY over inflated prices, I can't believe ANYone would EVER book thru them!"
