"SIM card did not work in my unlocked phone. When I called for help was told my phone was US only. I know this is not true, since I used it Australia and it's guaranteed to work in Ireland (where I was). I did get someone else's messages (they must have had that SIM card last December) but could not make or receive calls. I was told they would get back to me about a credit after they check my call record. That was in May and the only thing I've hear from them was a request for a review. Very dissatifed."

"I got to Germany, unpacked my rental phone, dialed as directed and got a text message in German, which I don't speak or read, telling me why the phone would not work. Finally got a German friend to translate it for me to the effect that I needed a voucher code to make the phone work. After a lot of difficulty I was able to get the code for an extra 10 euros. This was to say the least an unpleasant and unexpected surprise. I had also called the 800 number before leaving the US about the difficulty of understanding the directions for setting up voicemail. Frankly some of the user guide seemed to have been written by a non native speaking writer and the voicemail directions were very confusing so I was asking for some clarity. I was told that someone would email me easier directions but nobody ever did so for the duration of my stay in Germany I never did have voicemail on the phone. "

"1. Was able to stay in touch with US, but not all of the time.
2. Phone came with someone else's numbers in it - thought it would have been wiped out.
3. Ability to call and text to the US and to others using international packages on US phones in Italy was spotty.

"The website was somewhat buggy. It errored while I attempted to place the final order. The result being that my card was charged twice, and no cell phone was shipped. I finally called and placed the order over the phone. They charged my card again for the phone order so now there are 3 charges to my card. I received my phone in the mail after the phone order. I've spoken with them about the extras charges and they are in the process of refunding the amounts to my card. So everything looks like it will work out, but I'd recommend simply calling and placing an order until the website works better."

"My neighbor travels Europe all the time and told us about RebelFone and we could not be more pleased with their service. The cost is MORE than fair. In fact we had a refund at the end and we did use the phone many times.

We received the phone in plenty of time before the trip. We had not trouble using the phone while in Ireland and told many of our fellow travelers along the way about the phone. I will Not Hesitate to use them again.

"Terrific outstanding vendor.
My son went on a trip to Prague, Vienna and various towns in between.
Phone was delivered in advance of the trip as promised.
He used the phone provided by RebelFone and had a great experience. No dropped calls, texting was fine, and we called him several times with no issues.
Pricing was good also.

"For a trip to South Africa, the phone was delivered on time. It turned out that none of the power adaptors included was the correct shape for standard South African outlets, so I had to purchase one in Durban. Service was only intermittent, okay in Durban, but when I needed the phone most urgently, at the Johannesburg airport, the phone indicated a signal but would not connect."

"Very responsive. Phone tech support was prompt and helpful. Very easy to deal with. The phone worked just fine. Only negative is that they failed to make my deposit refund in a timely manner - but once I sent them an email is was promptly taken care of."
