"I purchased an MSI-1036 January 19, 2006. I have already written a review of my purchase, as it was an awesome experience. However, since June I've had nothing but problems with my laptop. The battery is held on by a latch that is part of the laptop, not the battery. I informed Gary of the issue, and that while I was still in school, I'd just duct tape it. I told him that I'd contact him again mid-July to arrange getting the unit fixed. He said he needed to contact MSI to find out what would need to be done. Since mid-July I've called on average 2x week, and only reached him 2x. I've emailed asking for help, emailed with "threats" that I would post negative feedback here, at notebookforums.com and contact the Better Business Bureau. With no response to my needs (I type this on a $499 Great Quality laptop, while my $2000 MSI 1036, & 3yr warranty sits dead), and requests and constant calls I am left with no choice but to warn others not to do business with Gary Schultz and Raw Power PC at this time. Prior to doing business with Raw Power, I'd checked here, the forums and other places and found that he was a good company. If things change, and he begins to be active in his business once again, and treats his customers as they had been treated up till the last couple months, then I will again leave remarks. "

"great customer service and website. website is updated almost daily with instock/outofstock notifications and pictures, specs, and reviews of products. when i ordered my laptop, i sent an email about speeding up my order (i had a business trip coming up) and the president of the company, Gary, personally responded within hours that he would see to it that the laptop was sent off in time. he also upgraded my shipping to 2-day at no extra charge. this is the kind of service i wish every company offered. "Unbelievably superior customer service! I dealt with 3 vendors for the MSI MS-1013 laptop and had to return/cancel my order with all of them for various reasons. When I thought it was hopeless, RawPower came to the rescue. Before I even put my order in, Gary (The president of RawPower) answered at least 4 emails worth of questions from me. Needless to say, I put my order in and my laptop came in the mail within a week. When my laptop arrived, it had some issues (which was purely my fault), I shot Gary an email the next day, unlike other vendors that I dealt with, instead of dodging the responsibilities, Gary immediately took ownership of the issue and a week later, I got my laptop back and everything was smooth sailing.

Aside from the fact that the products are built with extraordinary craftsmanship and quality control, the prices are great, yielding the best in value.
One very important thing that I observed from my experience with RawPower is that they know the products that they sell inside and out. This is one very important reason why the products that they sell are excellent in craftsmanship and quality and it's also the main reason why if you do have a problem with their product they can address it swiftly.

"Purchased an MSI-1036 on 01/19/06, arrived 01/30/06.
Reseller was involved in ordering, via phone. During order, Reseller was at an MSI convention in Calf.
Worked with me on pricing, and after sale with help in configuring machine and making sure the laptop is just as I want.
Only concern was with email, as his email and the manufacture's couldn't get through to my account. Since I wasn't getting the "next step in the process email," the Reseller contacted me with updates.
So far, only real gripes are the one's concerning the laptop itself, such as an inability to turn off the touchpad mouse, the lack of a badge to cover the hole, and it's quirky keyboard layout (full size keyboard, with just a few minor key issues [right shift is super small, the | \ key is repeated above and below enter, and being a right shift guy, it's tough]). Those gripes are completely cosmetic and minor, so much so, that I constantly recommend this laptop, from my college professors and fellow students to my family doctor.
If you are planning to purchase a top-of-the-line computer techie, power gamer laptop and expect to pay $2000 or more, then the MSI 1036 is more than enough machine, at less than $2000. RawPowerPC.com is the place to purchase your new machine.

easily reach them if there are questions in mind.
It took 10 days to get my system in hand even though I decided to change the configuration in the middle of the building process.
It would be better if they offer more accessory options like spare bateries, adapters and carrying cases for notebooks."

When I ordered it, I hadn't received a confirmation email in a time frame I would expect. So I called them and left a message. Their customer service is awesome. I saw in my confirmation Email that I had accidentally ordered a processor I didn't want, so I used their chat feature. I was connected to someone almost instantly and I was able to change to the processor I wanted with no fuss at all.
Emails were sent to update me as to the order status of the laptop. Shipping was fast too.
The laptop I ordered was listed with both Rawpower and MSI as having bluetooth built-in. I was sent an Email saying bluetooth was not integrated in this laptop, but because they felt responsible for the mistake, they would send me the bluetooth module free of charge.
It is difficult to part with the money needed to pay for a laptop, but Rawpower made the experience better than I could have imagined.
