"From worst to baddest. I sure did wish i read this trend before I even attempted to buy something from this company. Ordered an item on the 17th of the month, and well, never heard from them again. Contacted the customer support both by email and phone, and received no replies. Good thing about it was that my credit card wasn't charged in the process. Blocked my posting for few days now (planning on calling my bank stating that I lost it so they'll replace a new one with a diff acct number just to be on the safe side). Horrible company. Don't even dare purchase anything from them. By all means avoid. "

"Do yourself a favor and do not order from this company. They are a shady dealer and they still have not completed the order. First, they assured me that the TV I ordered was in stock - I specifically asked them to make sure it was in stock, and of course they said yes. So I put the order in and the TV was promised to be shipped by Wed of the following week. I had also purchased an extended warranty when they promised to send me 8' Monster component cables for free. I then asked for the total price, wrote it down, then checked my visa transactions. They charged me an extra $199 without approval or letting me know of the charge for "insurance". After a phone call to the manager, they removed $100 of the $199 charge. After several more phone calls saying the TV had been shipped (which it hadn't) I cancelled my order, but of course there the catch of you can't return the warranty. After I canceled my order, and filed a dispute with my credit card company, the manager called me asking me to reconsider and promised I would get the TV within a week, it finally arrived a week later. Order 12-2-05, received 12-28-05. It took several phone calls to get my warranty card, and instead of Monster cables, they sent me cheap knockoffs. Called on the cables and they promised to send the Monster cables, still have not received them and it been 3 months since I put the order in. The only good thing about this order was that the TV came in excellent condition, double boxed and full intact. "

"Absolutly terrible communication. No response to my numerous email messages. I finally called RapidPlasma only to be lied to regarding the ship date of my merchandise. Slow processing time and I continue to wait for a tracking number and the merchandise I paid for. I have placed over a hundred e-business purchases with various companies and this company is the worst. All I want is the TV I purchased in good faith. Unfortunately, RapidPlasma is a the type of business that makes internet purchasing a risky endeavor. Use extreme caution when purchasing from RapidPlasma. "

"The price was great. It took a bit longer to receive my item than I was orginally told though. Most of that was due to the high demand for the Panasonic that I chose. Everyone I talked to was very nice on the phone even though I was getting pretty impatient. When you're plopping down that kind of money for a TV you can understand the impatience of wanting it to arrive as soon as possible. Once I knew that the item was on a truck everything went incredibly well."

We really shopped around and found the best help and service with Rapid Plasma. It was easy to order and the shipment came in perfect with no dented box.It also came on the due date promised. We are really enjoying our new plasma tv. They were also helpful in providing information regarding monster cables and valuable information on extended in home warranty service which is important if something happens because it is very heavy. The directions from Panasonic were not very clear but we finally got all the cables hooked up properly and wala a perfect picture and a great TV

"I thought I’d share my experience with Rapidplasma.com. Like every good shopper, I went to CNET looking for the lowest cost retailer for the 61” Pioneer plasma television I wanted to purchase and found Rapidplasma. The price was great.

When I called to place the order, the salesperson took all of my information, including credit card numbers. Tried to sell me the overpriced Monster cables, I politely declined. Tried to sell me the 3 year service plan; not interested. As he began to run through the delivery details, he quickly mentioned that in addition to the $199 delivery charge (pretty reasonable), there would be a $329 “insurance” charge (pretty silly) that wasn’t negotiable – unless of course I paid $899 for the 3 year service plan (the “manager” authorized him to discount it from $1499); then there would be no insurance charge.

Well, I bothered to go to the Consumer Priority Services website (the service plan provider) and look at the coverage under the extended service plan (I had to, actually, the Rapidplasma salesman wouldn’t fax over a copy of the agreement he wanted me to spend nine hundred bucks on). Lo and behold, shipping damage is not covered. So how can the shipping insurance be waived if the service plan doesn’t cover it either? The $329 insurance charge is nonsense; it’s just there to jack up the advertised price after the fact.

So after finding all of the negative reviews for this company on the internet, I then decided that this warranted a little more research. What else would I find?

Well, they told me on three separate phone calls that they are an Authorized Pioneer Dealer. But a quick trip to the Pioneer website disproved this; they did not appear on the list of Authorized Online Dealers. But just to be sure, I called Pioneer’s service department and was informed that if they aren’t on that list, they are not an authorized dealer. Neither are either of the other two names Rapidplasma goes by, AG Ventures or Crystal Tech.

I called back and spoke to another Pioneer customer service rep just to confirm this because it’s a BIG DEAL and I want to be fair to Rapidplasma. The second customer service rep did an internal search for them and couldn’t find them either. He assured me: if they aren’t listed on the Pioneer website, they are *not* an authorized dealer; the list is comprehensive and updated daily.

THIS IS IMPORTANT: THERE IS NO MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY FOR PRODUCTS SOLD BY UNAUTHORIZED DEALERS. IF YOUR $7,000 PLASMA TELEVISION BREAKS ON DAY 1, YOU MAY AS WELL KISS THAT MONEY GOODBYE.

A peek at their Better Business Bureau track record shows one resolved dispute, not bad actually. But they are listed as being in business for 10 months, even though the company owner, Mark, told me they’d been in business for a year and a half. Perhaps that can be chalked up to slow record keeping for the BBB, not a real issue.

But after all of shady and sneaky interaction with Rapidplasma, I decided I could not take a chance on them with this much money.

So, here’s what I did: I picked a vendor from Pioneer’s online dealer list, MonitorOutlet.com. The price I paid was only $116 more when you factor in Rapidplasma’s $199 delivery and $329 insurance fees. MonitorOutlet has free shipping, the delivery is insured and most importantly, the item comes with a full 1-year warranty from the manufacturer, something Rapidplasma claims but cannot prove. MO had the item in stock, and shipped it that very same day.

The salesperson asked about an extended service plan, but I didn’t get the boiler-room hard sell I got with Rapidplasma; in fact, he informed me that I can purchase the service plan after 2 or 3 months of owning the set. I’m not much of a believer in extended service plans but I do like no-pressure options. Oh and the service plan that MO offered was $429 and provided by Philips Electronics (a name I recognize) compared to the $1499 list price at Rapidplasma (provided by Consumer Priority Services, whoever that is).

Overall, my experience with MonitorOutlet.com has been very pleasant. I received my invoice and tracking information immediately and was called within 24 hours by the shipper to confirm delivery in 2 business days. Pretty good!

PS - If anyone actually believes that Rapidplasma magically got FOUR "very satisfied" ratings, all in a single day (1/16) after I left this post here, I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you. These guys are as dishonest as the day is long.

"RapidPlasma is a SCAM!!! It was a nightmare experiment!

After searching the internet and found that RapidPlasma.com was among the websites that seem to offer the best price for Pioneer DPD-4360HD, I called in to confirm its availability as advertised by RapidPlasma. The salesperson responded that they have the product in stock and is ready to ship out right away upon receiving the order. As a result, I ordered online on 11-29-05 and received the invoice within ½ hour. On 11-30-05 a person called from the shipping department and left a voicemail asking me to call back for my shipping address confirmation, but when I returned the call he wanted to sneak in an additional 3 years insurance for $583, which I refused.
On 12-01-05, I called in to ask for the tracking # as promised but the same shipping person said the TV was in back order so I asked him to cancel my order. I also sent two emails asking for confirmation of the cancellation in the same day but got no response.
Unfortunately, on 12-03-05, I found out that they had already charged my C.C. on 11-30-05 for the TV of $3195 plus an unauthorized $583 of what they said was ‘extended warranty’ which I didn’t buy.
When I called in on 12-04-05 to check for a cancellation status, the customer service said that the TV was shipped out on Friday 12-02-05 and they will provide the tracking # on Monday 12-05-05, but that never happened. After that, anytime I would call, the customer service would say to wait a few hours or the next day for the tracking #, but again, it never came. It wasn’t until 12-09-05 that they admitted that they do not have the product. However, they then wanted a 15% re-stocking fee on a TV that they do not have and $583 un-refundable item that I did not order. From there on, they kept hanging up on me and never returned my email since they sent out the invoice on 11-29-05.
I do not accept that type of money-stealing scam and reported to C.C. Corp.

Summary: I ordered online on 11-29-05 and asked to cancel on 12-01-05 due to un-availability of the promised product, but as of today 12-27-05, they are still charging my CC for the TV $3195 plus an un-authorized $583 called ‘extended warranty’.

"On November 25, 2005 I ordered a plasma TV over the Rapid Plasma webpage (the billing date is November 28, 2005). On the same day, I made a phone call to order the extended warranty and a surge protection. The surge protector I ordered was the model number HT 850 from Monster Cable, and I was charged 89.00.

However, the company delivered the model AV 800 from Monster Cable, which sells for 49.95 on the Monster Cable webpage. Rapid Plasma told me that since the HT 850 was not in stock, they shipped a similar product. For me this is not acceptable and I feel cheated from the company. I called three times, and they told me that I could not return or exchange it, because they referred to the company policy (partial returns).

The three people told me (customer service and sales) that this is their policy, and if an item is not in stock, they can ship a similar one. But in my opinion, "similar" is not a product that sells for half the price.

Further, the people were very unfriendly and rude. Complaining that "they don't get costumers like me everyday." The company does not seem to reflect the internet ratings they received.

I filed a complaint at BBB. Hopefully it will be processed by January 2006.

"what brought me to rapidplasma.com were their prices. i wanted a plasma tv...and i saw that they had the best prices out there. i have to admit i was a little concerned at first so i called them up to ask a couple of questions....i asked if they were new models or not and the salesman assured me that they were all new models from manufacturer to customer. after a long conversation i made the purchase and i have to say the salesperson never rushed me or made me feel that i was on a time limit. i got everything......a plasma tv, wall mount, speakers, and a warantee.....all within 10 days to my door. i would use rapidplasma.com anytime and would recommend them to anyone and everyone."

"What a nightmare! Their site plainly stated the Plasma TV we were ordering was "In Stock" and "Ships Today." A week after placing our order, we still don't believe the item has shipped. We called them on 3 separate days this week to inquire about our order status; each day, they told us the TV had "shipped yesterday." (Let's see: so it shipped on Monday, on Tuesday, and on Wednesday?) They can't provide a tracking number or an estimated delivery date, but they sure knew how to pass the bill on to our charge card quickly!

Then there was the $156 additional charge they added on for "shipping insurance" that was in addition to the $199 shipping/handling charge and the "Final Total" quoted on our invoice.
