"Do not purchase from radioactivedeas. The low prices are a fraud. Unless you purchase their inflated and unnecesary warranty and accessory packages, you will not receive your item.
They will tell you the product is in stock, and then call you the next day with a bogus excuse about a problem with your credit card. Then they apply high pressure sales tactics to get you to purchase the accessories and warranties. Let me tell you, these guys are rude, abnoxious, and overall unpleasant. If you refuse to purchase anything additional other than your product (in my case it was a digital camera), they will put you on hold for a minute, then come back on the line and SURPRISE, its on backorder with no available time frame for the next shipment.
Do not try and wait it out - it is futile. They couldn't care less. When you call them for a status report, they tell you to try and buy the product somewhere else - real class act this organization is...
Pay a fair price somewhere else and forget about these New York based, high pressure, unethical businesses which exploit people who have a difficult time saying NO to salesmen who pretend to have there best interest in mind while selling them products they don't want and most likely don't need.

"I had ordered a camera online with a few accessories as well. I was contacted quickly via e-mail and asked to call a toll-free number. The person I spoke with had already researched my purchase, found away to get higher value accessories for me that were more appropriate and bundled in a package, and was very knowledgeable about service packages that both radioactivedeals and the manufacturer could offer me. The customer service rep was helpful, friendly, and patient, and really helped me find the best deals. It was a great experience and i look forward to being able to use my camera and accessories in a few days."

"I wanted to take a few minutes and share with those of you considering radioactivedeals.com as your online merchant. I read some of the reviews about this company, some of which were not complimentary, and I must admit that at first I was reluctant to even call these folks, but because of their pricing I thought it was worth a shot to at least place a call. There is no doubt that this company has some of the best prices out there and after my ordering experience I give them an outstanding rating. I am an attorney and not the easiest person in the world to please so I don’t say this lightly. I spent well over 30 minutes on the telephone with their representative whom I found to be both knowledgeable and polite, and by that I mean there was no pressure to buy unwanted accessories. I did buy some accessories but only because I wanted them, not because I was pressured into it. My order, which consisted of a Sony DSC-F828 digital camera as well as a Sony camcorder, was processed and received by me within a week. All products were factory sealed original Sony equipment with all as advertised (by Sony) accessories. Sony puts a manufacture date on the F828 and the one I received from radioactivedeals was manufactured in January, 2004 – the ones I looked at BestBuy and Circuit City were September and October, 2003 – my point being that their stock is fresh. I was emailed promptly confirming my order and again when it shipped being provided with the ups tracking number. (And yes shipping was free). I figured out that I saved almost 40% when factoring in sales tax over what I would have spent if I had bought locally. For me this was a no brainer. For those of you who had a poor buying experience with these folks I am a more than surprised based on my recent (February, 2004) order. Maybe you had a different rep – mine was George at extension 106 and he was VERY helpful and did not recommend one accessory he didn’t think would enhance my product and I had done my homework before calling. I would and will buy from this company again. They get an A from me and believe me when I tell you I am a tough grader."

"Salesman very pushy with accessories. Salesman lied about product performance in order to push upgraded battery. All accessories very overpriced. Salesman called me cheap for not wanting to purchase more expensive accessories. After being told for sure that the product was in stock I was put on hold to check inventory."

"The day or so after i placed my order for a Canon PowerShot S400 , a company rep called and told me that I needed more accessories with the camera in order to take more than a few pictures and some other drawbacks. I told him that I would like to have the camera and then if I decided that it was necessary, I would get back to him on the accessories. He then told me that the item was back ordered. I told him to go ahead, that I would wait. After 7 weeks, I was told that it was still on back order. I cancelled the order. I noted that on their web site, the Canon PowerShot S400 was featured as their number 1 attraction – at a lower price than what I had ordered it for. Strange for an item on back order, no?"

"This place tried to pull a total "bait-and-switch" on me. I ordered online and then got an email 2 days later saying there was a problem with my order, I should call this number. When I did, the man told me my order was set to ship today, as soon as he could verify my address and credit card, which I verified. He asked if I needed an rechargable batteries for the camera, which I said no, and then he told me the camera I had ordered which moments before was ready to ship today would not ship for 6-12 weeks because it was out of stock. Suddenly it seemed very much like all the call had done was verify that my credit card had in fact matched up with the proper billing information, like it was more like he was mining my personal data. The whole exchange seemed VERY unsavory and I canceled my order and my credit card. I called my bank and they agreed the transaction seemed sketchy and they too felt the card number was comprimised. "
