"Bait and switch, please stay away. Placed an online order for a Toshiba LCD. Was sent an email asking to confirm by calling... nice security touch I thought. "Brian" made a very hard and annoying push to buy a different TV than the one I had ordered, claiming they have had lots of returns and customer complaints on that particular Toshiba model. When I told him that I preferred to stick to my original order, he said fine, it would ship in 2-3 weeks. Three weeks later I get another email asking me to call and confirm yet again. I called and got another "customer service" rep, and was once again given a very annoying and pushy pitch for changing the order to something else. Only when I stuck to my guns was I informed that the Toshiba was "out of stock" and that they didn't know when more would arrive. I told them I would look around, and if I found another store with some in stock I'd call back and cancel the order. While looking around, I ran across their site again through a pricegrabber or somesuch search, and noticed that the model I ordered was still showing "in stock." I called back the next day, thinking this was a bait and switch, and was assured that it was just out of stock. I notified them that their website still showed in stock, shipping in 2-3 days, and was given a very rude reply, something about the product page not being linked to sales. Whatever.

Bait and switch. I don't think they ever had or planned to have this particular model in stock to ship. I'm trying to cancel the order - who knows how difficult that will be. Customer service takes forever to reach, with multiple disconnected calls before a real person ever decides to answer, and then they nearly immediately forward you to someone else when you tell them what you're calling about.

Update: I called to cancel the order and was not even asked for my name or order number, just given an "OK, sure" response. I had to insist on giving them my name and order number. I called back the next day and inquired as to the status of my order, and was told it was still on backorder. I very bluntly let them know that I had called to cancel it the day before, but since I didn't trust them I figured I should call back, and apparently for good reason. They guy then said "oh, yeah, I see 'canceled' over here in the corner." I called back three more consecutive days until finally when asking for my order status I was told it was canceled. I'll update again and let everyone know if they actually tried to charge me or not.

BTW, it should be obvious to everyone that the one liners above are company employees. Who cares if the prices listed are exceptional if they don't actually have any of those products in stock, won't sell them to you at that price if you did, and in the end are just trying to swindle as much money from you as possible.

Oh, and Costco happened to have the TV I ordered from $150 cheaper than these guys. So much for beating everyone else hands down.

"Ordered a Samsung LC52A650 and when I called to confirm the order he said was an international model and had no warranty and the better model with better picture was $200 more. I canceled the order and ended up canceling my credit card so they couldn't place the charge after reading postings on this company. I looked on the Web site and they don't have a Samsung with a part number close for that price. Bait and Switch. Stay away"

"On March 25, 2008 I place an on line order for a Sony LCD HD TV. I was contacted by a sales person by the name of Brian. He talked me into buy a Samsung instead of the Sony claiming that the Samsung had a motion chip in it. I questioned him about this because I had not read that the model that he wanted me to by buy had a motion chip. He claimed that their company had them special ordered. I said okay based on his representations. I asked him to confirm the order by email. He never did. I called back several days later and they told me that the order was in process. I waited and waited for the unit to arrive. I had paid an extra $100 for expedited shipping and the unit had not arrived. I called and got ahold of Brian and he said things were slow. I reminded him that I had paid the extra for the expedited shipping. He said that he would refund the shipping. I ask him to confirm by email, he never did. I continued to wait. After several days I decided that I had better cancel the order. I called and talked to someone in customer service (a joke I assure you) and told them I wanted to cancell the order. They informed me that the unit had shipped ( this turned out to be another lie)and that I would have to pay for all the shipping cost. The unit finally arrived and looking at the shipping documents I could tell it had not shipped until after I tried to cancel the order. Upon receipt of the unit and reading the instructions and documentation I could not find any reference to a "motion" chip. I call ProjectorExport and after a very long wait got ahold of Brian. I informed him that I could find no reference to a motion chip. He continued to tell me that he had been told by his management that the set was special ordered with a motion chip. He told me that someone from their management would call me and that he was too busy to deal with this problem. No one ever called me back. I then called Samsung customer service and explained about the motion chip. The told me I had been lied to and that that model and serial number did not have a motion chip. I then filed a claim against them for $500 (the difference between sets with and without motions chips) thru my credit card company. This claim was utlimatey denied because the reponse from ProjectorExport contained copies of invoices and website info that was never on the website nor were the documents ever seen by me. Their documentation was completely Bogus. The worst experience I have ever had with internet sales. Not once did I ever get a call from their customer service, never got an invoice until I filed a claim, I was lied to so many times I can't count them. They refused to cancel the order. I did get a TV but I was overcharged and treated very badly. Once they got my Credit card number it was all over, and they presented fraudulent documents to the CC claims people. Do what you can to warn other people. This company is fraudulent !!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I purchased a Samsung LN46A650 from this company back in May and have still not received the TV - only to now have my Visa charged as well as finding out that the TV has been "lost in transit" - AGAIN! This has occurred after the company promised a 2-3 week delivery time. This is the worst on-line experience that I have ever had and will NEVER order from them again. I did some research with the BBB only to find out that they have unsatisfactory record with them and they are also listed under the name of several other names including; PC VIDEO ONLINEAdditional Business Names: Five Star Plasma, PCVideoOnline.com, Plasma Kings, Price Mad,
ProjectorExpo.com, ProjectorExport.com. I would recommend to NEVER use this company and if so, expect to be ripped-off!!

"I ordered a TV that was advertised on their site 2 months ago - a prior year model. The price caught my eye. It is not in stock and they are not getting any more; however, it is still advertised on the site today. I was then talked into another model of a lower series for a higher price (bait and switch?). I paid for expedited shipping, but after many many calls and hours on hold, I finally got the TV 2 weeks after the expedited delivery. They refused to refund the full shipping amount (and I'm still waiting for the reduced credit). The sales reps and customer service are as rude as any I've ever encountered in that line of business. I recommend you avoid this site at all costs."

"I attempted to purchase a samsung pn50a550 TV from projectorexport.com. On their website, they showed the item as "in stock - usually ships in 2-3 business days". The day after I placed my order, I received an e-mail asking me to call them to confirm the order. I did so and was told that the TV should arrive via ground freight within 2-3 weeks. They also attempted to sell me an extended warranty, which I declined. The did not seem to attempt to overly pressure me to buy the warrenty.

After two weeks, I checked the website on a Wednesday. My order showed "Waiting Authorization". I called and was told the TV was backordered, but should be in by Friday. The next Wednesday(today), I did the same thing. I was told that the TV was supposed to arrive in their warehouse yesterday, but was still out of stock. I cancelled the order.

I also noticed that on their website there are "glowing" reviews, in a small window listed as "powered by ReviewSpotter". The reviews listed themselves as being sourced by nextag.com, bizrate.com, shopping.com, pricegrabber.com and resellerratings.com. The merchant does not seem to exist on the nextag, bizrate, shopping or pricegrabber websites. The merchant does exist on resellerratings.com, but with all negative reviews. Interesting how they show all of these "positive" reviews.
