"I bought a set of lighting stands from these people. I deal with many other DJ suppliers. The stands were truly of poor quality and I wrote a negative review of them. Their site refuses to post my review. I don't trust companies that hide information."

Horrible,and disrespectful!!

"I ordered speakers, but the wrong ones. I was told by Peter that they sent the right Speakers, and if I want to return them I will have to pay for the labels and the shipping. He was nasty, Rude, and very disrespectful. He do not want to return our Money, and want us to keep the wrong speakers. I will not advise anyone to purchase anything from this company. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Really bad customer Service

"The rep argued with me about a promotion that he was unaware of and he ended up being wrong. Then I don't receive any information about my order until I call in a week later at which time he tells me that 1 of my 2 items is on back order and if I want a partial shipment I will have to pay $5. Seriously? This will be my last order with this make shift operation. Too many other great online stores to purchase from. "

"Never disappointed and I have been buying items from PSSL since 1998 when I purchased 2 Technics 1200s and an MTX mixer when I lived in Tennessee.
My last purchase I actually picked up from the store which were a pair of RoadReady flight cases. Thought I drop in to see the show room and chat with some of the reps. Great team of well versed and professional people.
I am back in Tennessee and will always look to PSSL first when purchasING equipment, parts. Or accessories.
1 bad experience doesn't constitute a trend. If you experience an issue, call them and voice your concerns.

"First off, it took over two weeks of useless back and forth for them to come to the conclusion that my business credit card wasn't going to work for them due to "info not matching." I decide to use my personal credit card, no big deal. I live in Hawaii so what was advertised as FREE shipping turns out to be over $100. I figure, "hey, maybe this means it'll be in next-day or at least expedited?" Hah, wishful thinking. I place my order and the money is quickly taken from my account. My email says the order was successfully shipped as of 6/23. I receive a tracking number but it doesn't seem to work. I bug their customer service a couple times and finally receive two USPS tracking numbers. One that clearly hasn't been physically brought to USPS (I use USPS regularly for my business and I know EXACTLY what i'm looking at when I track an order) and the other tracking number shows no movement aside from being checked in... 4 days after it was supposedly shipped to me. Today is July 1st and I have no updates on tracking and no comforting messages saying that my order is (enter excuse here). At this point, I just want my money back and I will be sure not to do business with these guys again. I can find way better prices elsewhere and for $100 shipping i'd expect to be treated MUCH better. Let this be a warning to everyone who runs into this site..."

"My order for a headphone case was placed at 7:44 AM Pacific time on February 19 2015 and the charge appeared in my online credit union statement a few hours later. I opted to pick it up in the store in Cypress, CA to save on shipping and because I am local to the area. The email confirmation stated that the Guaranteed ready for pickup date was also February 19 2015, bot no notification was sent to me either via phonecall or email that the order was ready ( was willing to drop by the store anytime before 6PM when they close to pick this item up). I had to call in and get a status update the following day.

Jeff Costello called me back a few minutes later to confirm that the order is now ready for pickup, but it's a bit unfortunate that the Guaranteed ready for pickup date was not reached. Although PSSL excels in many respects regarding their selection and pricing for some of their daily deals, I will think twice about turning to them for items that I need in a hurry, which was the case this time around.

Update 2/20/15 4:00 PM Pacific time: I spoke with both Nick and Jeffrey from PSSL, and they were appreciative of my feedback. They have already taken measures to ensure that issues of this sort are minimized for subsequent store pickups. I was pleased to hear their feedback and updated my rating accordingly, and they treated me with utmost respect despite my initial criticisms regarding this order. Based on this new information and experience, I would be happy to refer others to use this store and utilize this store pickup option if convenient for them.

"I was sold a product that was in the process of being discontinued, I purchased 6 Chauvet EPIX STRIP bars and a Chauvet Epix Drive 640 for $1,800.00 USD. Once I had received these items and after I had read the instruction manual I was shocked to find out that I needed to buy software that would cost me an additional $1,400.00.
They had also failed to deliver these items as promised 3-day shipping turned out to be 12-Day shipping.
BUYER BEWARE: PSSL's return policy is effective on date of purchase not when you get the actual item... WTF??? Not fair at all to customers.
Notice that they OFFER a 30-Day refund policy, but in reality they get to shorten it to their convenience.

The one thing that really upset me about PSSL's business practices, was the fact that I was tricked into keeping these items in hope that they will provide a discounted license of the software "ArKaos" which is required to run this hardware.(THAT DISCOUNT never happened)
GIVEN THE FACT that I could not use any of these items I then finally decided to return them for either an exchange or a full refund.

On the 27th day I was informed that they will not take any of these items back, because I was too close to the 30-Day return POLICY (100% B.S.)
They bent the rules to their benefit!!! BUYERs BEWARE!!!

Now I'm out of $1,800.00 that could have been invested on a better purchase from a local HONEST retailer.

"Do not order from this company under any circumstance. VERY Unprofessional. Beware of ordering from them indirectly, via Amazon, as I did. I ordered a $200 400 watt black light for a show that arrived broken. After weeks of unfulfilled promises to send a replacement part, I asked that they just send a replacement unit. They refused, saying they would send a replacement only if I paid another $200. Had to file a claim with Amazon and order a replacement directly from Amazon, an option not available to me on the original order. I am returning the broken unit and hope that I can get my money back (because at least I ordered via Amazon who stands behind their sales). I missed a show deadline because of their incompetence. PSSL is unscrupulous. Do not deal with them."

"DO NOT deal with this outfit. They hide requirements in small prints such as if you purchase this you can't return it. They will charge a ridiculous price and then set it up so there is no way you can get your money back. I am going to as many sites as I can find to warn people not to do business with this crooked firm. I have opened a complaint with the Oregon Attorney General to see if I can't at least put them out of Business in this state. Avoid them"

"I had a great expierence with pssl.com i ordered the krk rokit 6's and they had the lowest price around by $60! Shipping was quick. I even called to make sure they were in stock and the man on the phone was very nice and helpful. i recommend this site and would order again."

"After 2 medium sized orders (over $500 each), I can't say I have a warm fuzzy feeling about Pro Sound & Stage Lighting. Both orders took a lot more effort than they should have, not terrible, but enough to be frustrating.
The first order took several attempts just to get the items to checkout. When clicking on "checkout" from the cart view, it required me to re-login, immediately after which it emptied my cart, not a big deal if you're buying 1 or 2 items, but if you spend an hour or so shopping for 12 items and it clears your cart at checkout, that's a real waste of time. This happened several times on 3 different PCs before I gave up and tried at work the next day. Then it would require me to re-log in every 8 minutes or so, but at least would not empty the cart, so I was able to get the order through. Their site generally seems to be flaky, but is easy to navigate when it's working. Keep in mind that I buy everything online (except food and gas)so it isn't the PC I use, which is one of 5 at home and 6 at work that I use, depending.

My Second order required a customer service call. Customer service is easy and fast to get a hold of, and handled my problem effectively, but it was something I should not have had to contact them for.

I ordered 10 items on my most recent order, a DJ table, and some lighting effects. I ordered after business hours on a Friday, web site showed every item in stock.
It was still "processing" Monday morning. Later Monday, I checked the status and it showed "ALL BACK-ORDERED" with every single item on the order "back-ordered"
So now I have to take time away from work to call customer service, and see what's up.
Turns out only the DJ table was back-ordered, so they called everything back-ordered?!?!?!
The DJ table is 36 lbs and 54 x 22 x 6 inches, so they aren't going to throw that in a box with all the other stuff, they will ship it separately, so WHY NOT JUST SHOW THE TABLE AS BACKORDERED AND SHIP THE REST? When the order did ship it shipped in 4 different packages (would have been 5 if I could have gotten the table) so this should have been a no-brainer.

CS rep was as confused as I was about what happened, but did cancel the table and process the rest which is now shipping Tuesday (still ok, but not "order today ship today" like their web site says).

The reason I took the time to write this is because both orders still took way more effort to process than it should have. A flaky web site and some moron back-ordering everything in an order when only one item (that would have to ship by itself) was out of stock (even though it said in stock when I ordered).
I have gone years (and thousands of dollars worth of orders) on some web sites without EVER needing to contact customer service. So when I have to take extra time to get my stuff, 2 out of 2 times, I can't say I'm completely satisfied.

If you have time and patience (more than should be required) you will get you order in a reasonable amount of time, but you better check the status often, until it ships.

I may order from PSSL again, but it's not my first choice.

"I have been dealing with PSSL for almost ten years now and continue to be impressed. Most recently I placed an order for some new equipment (a DJ mixer to be exact) and was once again was impressed. The professional, courteous, and fast customer service I received from the sales rep I was dealing with (Mark) was top notch. He was able to answer complex questions about what I was about to purchase, what I had purchased previously, and it was all done with a very courteous manner. Once my order was processed, I received most of my items in only a couple of day...pretty impressive since I am currently living in the UK. I will continue to do business with PSSL and would recommend them to anyone who wants a similar experience."
