As an American consumer, there are many games that often do not get a physical release locally due to a perceived lack of demand. For these types of games Play-Asia is easily the best place to find them. I've purchased from them many times and I've always gotten exactly what I ordered, often with a bunch of stickers thrown in for free. Only real negative is that shipping is a bit slow. That said, I really don't mind because I would never be able to get some of these products any other way. The website is also really easy to navigate and you can sign-up for alerts that will let you know when specific products you are hunting down come in. "

"Recently placed an order for $1000.00 dls but my games were not shipped to me even though I waited for two weeks and games had in stock status on their site. So I canceled my order and I was supposed to get my refund after 5-7 days back to my card. Now it’s been 15 days and I haven’t received any refund at all. All they tell me is refund was successful please contact your bank for more details. So now I opened a claim with my bank and waiting for a resolution…"

"I wanted to order games on Nontendo Switch. River city girls 2 and Signalis. I made my first attempt before the new year. Then the parcel was not sent to me on time, because the stock was over. Then I tried to order these games on January 19th. They were both in stock. But they didn’t send them to me, they said that my stock would come only on January 30th. And today, when they are both on the website in stock, they tell me to wait until February 10! I have left $3,000 on the site for the last two years, my status is Shogun. And they have such a disregard for me. Tech support tells me to be calm and wait another two weeks. When both games are available on website now !!!"

"I bought two games for my nephews from this company. The link for one of them does not work. They said the code cannot be retrieved once it was dispensed and yet refused to refund me the money. "

"I placed an order for two games because their website showed both were in stock. Over a week passes before Playasia emails me stating one of the items I ordered is unavailable. This has happened to me before where Playasia lists items as "in stock" only for them to be out of stock. When they email you, customer service does not offer to refund your payment. Instead, customer service will ask if you want the money added as credit to your "play asia wallet" without letting you know a refund is also an option. I find this very shady because customers should be told they can receive a refund to their method of payment if they prefer, not just "store credit."

I emailed customer service back stating that I wanted a refund to my PayPal account (with this preference bolded and underlined) to ensure I would not be given useless store credit. I have no intention of ever purchasing from this company again. Playasia does not have accurate stock lists. More often than not, items showing "in stock" are actually out of stock...and you won't find out for weeks when your entire order is delayed because they can't source the item. Buyer beware."

"I purchased a video game for someone for Christmas. I found out that it is only compatible in Europe. I tried to exchange it but they directed me to the policy and said they can’t.. I’m not a gamer so I have no clue what a PAL system is, remember this was a present. Why would they ship a EU-only compatible to the US? I should have known buying some **** from Asia. Never a again. Save yourself the headache."

"Even though the delivery was fast, the quality of the products leaves so much to be desired.

I bought a Korean Drama DVD and the quality is awful! If you think you’ll be watching 1080 HD quality forget it, they’re barely recorded at 480i and show all pixelated on a HDTV. Also, the transition/cut between scenes it’s total garbage. Whoever made these copies used their cellphone and recorded the whole thing them tweaked it to sell. Even the freaking tv announcements show in the middle of the chapters.

Horrible horrible product! This is a lesson learned for myself, I will never buy from shady business again. Not even worth the return since they didn’t even included a retun label. I usually don’t like to write reviews but I thought this was necessary, it’s not like I’m rich yo be throwing away my money buying crap and not say something about it. Don’t recommend buying DVDs products and/or this seller! Buy at your own risk! "

"I have had four or five expensive items very carelessly shipped out to the wrong address, website is poor quality and repeatedly reverted my attempts to update my email to a current one, email validation never succeeded with any email address, including the one it kept reverting to. logged in to find messages with language implying that i had some responsibility in not getting my items and for the whole hassle, they charged me for the return shipping due to their error. unacceptable incompetence and carelessness. i will never do business with them again. i normally do not write reviews unless they are positive, but i'm sick of them taking my money and never receiving my items. "Well I was trying to buy Yen for Nintendo Eshop card and I literally did everything to make it happen. The first time I bought it with my bank account I got my account locked because it looked fishy. I then decided to get a prepaid card and connect it to my paypal which I did but that didn't work. I then decided to get this card called Green Dot which is practically a bank and actually in order to open an account you have to give your social security number and more, and once opened you have a routing and an actual account number. Well I connected that to my paypal and made a purchase. The payment went through and I thought good I am set. Then last second Play-Asia cancelled it themselves for security issues, then told me to use paypal. I was confused because I USED PAYPAL! I do not know how much more secure I could get. I used paypal which has all my info linked to a debit card that once again has the same info. I emailed them asking no joke if what I am buying is just a Eshop card because I have never met anything that needed that much security in my life for video game reasons. I felt like I was trying to buy something I shouldn't with so much security needed. I will be using another site from now. I appreciate good security as much as the next person but to cancel the order themselves once paypal even gives them the money??? I am confused."

"Received game code for download, went to www.bethesda.net created account entered code and got 'invalid code.' Still waiting for the fix so this rating might change in the future? After reading all the other reviews I am going to try to just get my money back at this point. Calling paypal tomorrow."
