"Photoloon was helpful. I called several times to make sure of the package that was best for me. The salesman was very polite and patient with me and answered all of my questions. "Customer Service was very helpful and efficient with placing my order. However, I was told that my camera would cost $159.00, but after a couple add ons where the price was never mentioned, by order total ended up being $399.00, which is more than most stores charge for this camera. If I had known it would have cost $150 more than what I was originally told, I probably would have gone to a retail store and bought it for a similar price without having to wait 2 weeks for my order. "

"I had a positive experience with Photo Loon. Their price for my camera was the lowest. My camera was packaged well and delivered quickly. I've also had 2 follow up calls from customer service, to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. "Originally we had just ordered a camera but had to call the next day because we had not received an email confirmation. The gentleman helped me but also convinced me that I needed a rechargable battery pack for an additional $50. My husband wasn't so sure but I bought it because I felt rushed on the phone and the representative made it sound imperative. We took our new camera on vacation and the rechargeable batteries lasted less than a day and were very unreliable. Although we liked our camera we were very unhappy and figured this is how they made there money as the camera was a very good price.
However I must say that we received the camera very quickly and for that we were pleased.

"We were not very happy with our experince with Photoloon. My Wife ordered a Nikon D300 camera and Nikon 18-200 f3.5-5.6G ED-IF-S VR DX lens for our daughter. She placed the order on the internet as their prices were very good. See received a phone call from Bob at Photoloon and he wanted to up grade to a package deal an free camera bag. The package had extra battery, UV filter, lens cleanig kit and card reader (which by the way does not work). Bob also said we needed to upgrade to better 18-200 lens because the first lens was plastic mount and this was metal mount. My wife said it was hard to understand Bob as he talked fast. When we checked our email we where shocked to see that the total for the order had gone up by $800. My wife called and questioned the order and was told by Bob that she had agreed to this total and that he was doing us a good deal and any change in the order would be subject to the 10% restock fee. My wife was very upset as she felt see had not agreed to this large of increase in the order. I then called Photoloon and talked to Jim Lyncher who said he was sales manager. He told me he listened to tape of Bob and my wife and that my wife had agreed to the total on the order. AT this point I question the charges and Jim told me the same thing that we were getting a beter lens with metal mount not plastic and that they were giving us a great deal and they were not making much money. I felt handled as he really didn't want to listen to me. I ask about canceling the order as we had not received confirmation of shipment(and didn't for 2 days). Jim said it was to late and would have to pay restock fee. We did receive the camera with the package. The lens on the upgraded order was to be a Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF-S VRII. Now after checking with Nikon I find that they sent us a VR and not the new VRII. I also can not find were Nikon makes 2 models of this lens in plastic and metal mounts.
At this point I feel very taken advantage of a charge for $800 extra for $150- $200 worth of extras. I should call them back but am so feedup trying to deal with them on the phone that I just don't have the stomach for it.

I run 2 bussinesses and deal with alot of people and the individuals I dealt with were handling us. They had charged our credit card and had not intention of being open with us. If they can prove to me that I am wrong great but they just kept telling us how good a deal we got.

We will not do bussiness with them again as we feel they are not trustworthy and cared little about us just our money.

"photoloon had the best price on the web by far for the nikon d5000 that i ordered. it was even better than costco! i called in my order so that shipping would be upgraded and i now understand why they have their business set up in such a manor. they prefer phone orders so that they can up sell you. luckily i was sitting in front of a computer and i was able to check amazon prices for accessories they were selling or i would've gotten ripped off. accessories are where they make their profits. the camera arrived quickly and is brand new. the sales representative was very nice and patient, despite trying to sell me extra stuff. i cannot complain but future buyers should be forewarned about phone orders."

"I ordered my camera and lens from Primo Camera who evidently ordered it from you. Photo Loon called me today to make sure I received my product and that everything was okay. I really appreciate the follow-up call. My only complaint is with Primo Cameras when they failed to tell me there was a 72 hour processing time and then a 3-5 day shipping window. I called them on day 5 to check on my order and was told it had not been shipped yet. I told them to cancel the order as I needed my camera in 2 days. They agreed to send it to arrive before my trip. I have really enjoyed my new camera and the extra step in Photo Loon's customer service."
