Horrible Pelican Warranty

"Have a first aid kit in a # 1440 case that the lid has bowed. Contacted warranty and they wanted me to ship the case back of which I responded that I could not do without for that time frame. Offered to purchase replacement, ship bowed lit case back. They would only replace if
I shipped the case, waited for them to inspect, repair or replace. I reminded "Jason" the warranty agent that they should take a look at " Lomis" Rods or Lifeproof case warranties. I
advised him that their warranty was fake news. Needless to say I will never purchase another
Pelican case. Worst customer service response you would ever won't to deal with. They have
all this language about how they are so customer loyal, etc. BS

It's just not worth it ...

"Ordered 4 Air cases on October 25th ... my credit card was immediately charged. On October 29th I received an email from Customer Service stating that they did not have those cases in stock, but expected to receive the next shipment in "roughly" 5-7 business days. 13 business days later, with no further notification, I called their customer service line. Got a message stating that "all agents" were busy ... leave your number and someone would call back. 3 hours later, with no call back, I called again and did reach someone. I explained I had been waiting for a call back for 3 hours. No apology or explanation ... just "how can I help you?". The individual checked on the status of my order and told me that they still had not received inventory, and that she would have the items shipped directly from the warehouse and that I should have them no later than Monday (11/18). On 11/27, still having not received my order, BUT out $1100+ because they charged my credit card at the time of the order, I contacted them and asked them to cancel my order and refund the full amount to my credit card. I received a confirmation email of the cancellation and the promise of a refund. It is now two weeks later and I still don't have my refund. On a side note ... the day I cancelled my order with Pelican Cases, I placed the same order with Amazon, for a lower price, and received the cases in under a week. Moral of the story ... it's just not worth it. "

"I ordered a gun case over the phone that I thought was the correct size for my purposes and I asked about their return policy. I was told that I would be responsible for the shipping charges...that’s all. Nothing was said about having to pay any other charges...NOTHING. So I went ahead and ordered the case and when it came in it simply didn’t fit my needs so I immediately shipped it back. I emailed them to let them know that I was shipping it back and was interested in ordering a different case. They happily took my order for the second case and through all my communication with them they never once mentioned any fees for returning something. Then I get an email and saw they shorted me on my return. I emailed them back and the same person I spoke to who only told me I’d be responsible for the cost of shipping now tells me there are extra fees for returning something which he very conveniently “forgot” to tell me in our original conversation when he told me I’d be responsible for the shipping costs. He also told me they disclosed this on their website in the email response but I was talking him via the phone, place my order via the phone NOT the website! IF they’d been upfront with me when I said if it didn’t work I’d want to return it and order another and told me they charge for returning merchandise I would not have a complaint but it seems as if this was done deliberately...it sure seems they use this as another profit center. It was simply very poor customer service and something that could have been avoided if they would have communicated their terms over the phone. The idea that they take your order over the phone and then believe having their return policy on their website is sufficient is silly at best."

Warranty is a JOKE

"Pelican says lifetime warranty. The case cracked during shipping and Pelican’s says due to mis-handling it is not covered.
If you read the fine print basically the warranty is only manufacture defect. The warranty is really worthless.

Back ordered and not notified

"I ordered a case from the company and all seemed okay. Order delivery scheduled for 7-10 days. A month goes by... no case. I call and they tell me it is on back order. I then ask why I didn't receive a notification? The representative says her boss sent an email personally for the case. However I searched my google inbox with only a hit on the original confirmation page. They then attempt to have a case shipped from another (?competitor/partner?) warehouse and it will ship the next day. GREAT right? Another week goes by and they say it is in transit. I then cancelled the order as I couldn't rely on them for another delay and ordered the same case from Amazon for $100 cheaper and 2 day shipping. The Amazon shipment came the day prior and we refused shipment on the Pelicancases.com box. They stated they would issue the refund as soon as the case made it back to the factory. (They told me it came from a warehouse and now it is a factory?) Needless to say 2 weeks later they were conveniently notified the day prior of the return shipment and issued the refund when I called.

I would only recommend to purchase from them if you have a few months to wait and don't mind calling them over and over again. They hide behind a nice website and great VOIP phones, but they are indeed a very small distributor. I would guess 4-5 people running the whole place. Everything seems very professional until it's not. Do yourself a favor and order from another distributor of the Pelican products.

"PelicanCases.Com handles orders in a timely manner to the best of their abilities. Their customer service is great, and they seem to genuinely care about their customers. They have dealt with some issues of late orders once in a while, but they were quick to inform me of any possible hold up that they were made aware of. The customer service representatives are very knowledgeable and are quick to answer any questions a customer could have, if they don't have the answer right off hand, they work to get back to their customers as quickly as possible.

I have the 1300 that I got from PelicanCases.Com and I love it! It's great for so many uses and I have had no problems whatsoever. Pelican has a guaranteed lifetime warranty on most of their cases, if it so happens that anything goes wrong with my case, which is awesome! I highly recommend PelicanCases.Com for your Pelican Case purchases and inquiries.

"Ordered a pelican case on 9/3/2014. Was told that it would be shipped within 10 days of order. That was on the receipt. Called after 14 days inquiring why I haven't heard anything. Was told it was a factory holdup. Called every week after and was told the same thing. I never received an email or call during this whole process. Finally after almost six weeks I was told the factory was holding my case because it didn't have the foam inserts.I told them to ship it without the inserts. I needed the case three weeks ago.Would have told them to cancel the order but there would been a lot of paperwork on my side. They said they would ship it out immediately but I still did not receive any email with tracking numbers. Nothing. Had to call them again and find out when it would be delivered. I would expect to receive an email or a call telling me the status. This has to be the absolutely worst customer service that I have ever been involved with. It is really bad because I work for the FAA and we order a lot of pelican cases. My group will pay a higher cost with another company for cases due to your poor customer service. Sorry for your loss of sales."

"This is the absolute worst customer service I have experienced in years. While I will continue to purchase Pelican Cases, I (my agency) will never do business again with Pelicancases.com. Today I cancelled the rest of the order having not received two of the three cases I ordered on 8/6/14, which of course they billed my card for and they already have received their payment. They made promise after promise of emailing me the order status and promised to get back to me which never happened. As I await the refund, I am not optimistic that I will have to fight them through my agency credit card company. I should have read the ratings prior to ordering. "
