When you’re building a piece of gear that you have invested your own hard work, design time, upgrades, mods, tweaks, etc., etc., and that will eventually make it into something as personal as my own HiFi system, second rate parts just won’t do. I found it refreshing that PCX carries most of the industries top names in HiFi parts and components. Their selection is large and easy to look through and find.
Not only all that, but the time from which I placed my order and received it, was extremely fast, and I live in another country! I’m talking a matter of 5-6 days.
The shipping costs were more than reasonable and one has many options of shipping.
I was also kept up to date on tracking numbers, and made constantly aware of where my package was and when it would arrive.

"I contact PCX to have a repair and mod done, as they have a great reputation on CANUCK AUDIO MART, and because they are local to me. E-Mailed them on a Thursday Night. Got an e-mail back at 10:30pm that night from the owner - incredible! Was told I could bring it in right away. I went the next morning when they first opened, and waited around for a quick assessment and quote, which I got. I also brought a few NOS tubes to leave with them to be tested, and was amazed that they went back and tested them while I waited for my quote - each tube came back with their own white box, labeled, with all the test spec's printed on the label - free of charge.
I am used to 6 to 8 week lead time for repair work, at most other service centers. My work at PCX was completed in 36 hours, from start to finish. I contacted them on a Thursday night, got free tube testing done while I waited for my quote on Friday, and a got a call to pick up my repair & mod on the Saturday. They even gave it a though cleaning inside and out - the unit looks brand new.
PCX has set a new standard for high-end audio electronic repair and mod services. Given that I've been in this hobby for 35 years, that is saying a lot.

"i ordered about a thousand bucks of items .. it's all there on day 2 , day 8 i called asked what's going on, told then some stuff on back order for 2 weeks , i agreed to wait and 4 weeks goes by ,i call again and was told 8 weeks more . the lady at the 2 week mark was to cancel those parts and call me back. never did . then it still took 3 more weeks to get the stuff. i am in Canada also 3 days to 6 days mail from Ont. charged USD for Canadian shipping. another bs charge for something i never heard of before besides the handling . so last contact i had enough and was ready to go to better business and report them, funny how that same day i was refunded . worse place ever in 40 years dealing with places ever . tobad there so fawked up there good parts bad service and over pricing as i started checking in the states and can get stuff cheaper then here in canada including shipping and exchange too so i will never recommend them ... unsatisfied !!!! "I was the customer with the longest standing backorder Parts Connection has ever had... Over six months waiting on a few parts on a very large order.
We chuckled every time I called or wrote to check in, and the order was modified numerous times during the wait as the design of my microphone preamplifiers changed during such a long time.
Everyone was great about my being a PITA, including being asked to hold my packed boxes in an office while they waited on a few resistors, a couple of capacitors, and four tube sockets.
Heck, I was ready to kick myself out!"

Also on their website they say that it's 99.00 Canadian but on their email to me they said that it's based on today's current exchange rate of 1.31. Scam scam scam."
