"I Ordered Parts From Parts PC & All I Got Was A Bunch Of Crap. Sent It Back 3 Times And Still A Piece Of Crap. All They Send You Is Junk.The first 2 Times I Sent It Back When I Recived It Back It Was The Some Problem That I Sent It In For.( They Probley Just Sent Me The Smae Part Back). I Also Tried My Hardest To Get It Resolved But No Luck. Wanted My Money Back And They Said That It Was Past The 30 Days ( 30 Days It Was In The Shop 2 Times ). I Wanted My Money Back And They Said I Would Have To Eat The CPU Fan & The Warranty Because It Was A One Time Use Product.( If The CUP FAn Was A One Time Use Product Why Didn't They Send Me A New One Every Time I Sent The Motherboard & Memory & CPU Back ??? ) Also If You Order The Gold Package They Still Charge You S&H & The RMA. In The Gold Package They Were Supsto Pay For All S&H & RMA. The Packing Was Crap It Was In A Static Bag With One End Open & The Memory Was Plugged In The Slot ( The Memory Slot Was Pulled Half Way Out Of The Motherboard ).

"Ordered an AMD XP 3200 CPU. The CPU arrived promptly and it worked for 2 days & on the 3rd. day on Boot up - died.
Emailed them & they responded within 24 hours. The bad news is that it can take up to 21 days from the day they receive the CPU to determine who's fault the failure was caused by - me or just a defective part from AMD.
They offer an expedited service for $19.95.Why do I have to pay extra just for this alleged service?
Plus if they or AMD determines I caused the failure there is an additional $25 Service fee.
They expect me to believe them with all the run around nonsense about expedited service and a laundry list of options offered when I tried to purchase the CPU initially. Spend a few extra bucks and buy from NEWEGG and avoid all of the nonsense they people create. I will never buy anything from them again.

"Initially thought Mobo I had ordered was retail. Come to find out it was OEM. Called to confirm my order and to suggest upgrading to retail version, for a few dollars less than the website promoted for the package of service plan, up-to-date BIOS and drivers, and two year warranty. Phone call, and followup calls were with customer support personnel who had very HEAVY accents; hard to understand, and also sounded like on a poor reception portable phone. Order shipped reasonably within 2 days of initial placement, and is on it's way; looks like will arrive at the 4 day mark of the 3-6 day shipping option. Will have to see condition of mobo when it arrives."

"I ordered a CPU, motherboard, and RAM from this company. When they arrived, I found that the CPU and motherboard were dead.

I know that this sometimes happens, even with the best of care. No product has a 0% failure rate. So without worrying about it, I got an RMA number and shipped the CPU and motherboard back to Partspc.com.

Then I got an email telling me that unless I paid more money, there would be a long delay in the return and, should the returned parts turn out to be working, I would be charged a significant fee. I grudgingly paid a small fee, because I wasn't sure if I could trust them.

I eventually got the replacement parts, and they didn't work either. Moreover, the CPU was already installed on the motherboard and the jumpers were already properly set, which wasn't the case with the first order (I had to set them myself the first time). Hmm. More damningly, there were also small traces of thermal paste on the CPU!

I've just sent Partspc.com an angry letter, but I don't know if it will do any good.

In short: DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I would recommend ordering from Newegg.com or another reputable dealer - the small amount of money you think you're saving with Partspc.com is not worth the risk.

I cancelled my on-line order 15 minutes after having placed it, but my credit card was immediately debited and it took countless e-mails and phone calls to finally, after almost 2 months, receive credit, less an $8.00 cancellation charge.

In my opinion, this company is run by scam artists and should be shut down by the California Attorney General for online fraud!

"I placed my order with this company on 10-20-2004, paid for items to be shipped out within 24hrs. did not ship until 10-22-2004. send package via DHL, who gave estimated delivery date of 10-27-2004. did not show. called dhl and was told package sched. for delivery on 11-01-2004. Informed Microx/partspc of this and was told that they have no control over DHL's service. did not care at all that their service was in question as well. Partspc also unwilling to refund shipping cost even though the item will be 5 days late. They do not seem to be concerned that their chosen shipper's action do reflect upon them poorly "

"I am not satisfied with my experience with this retailer, and would not do business with them again.

Purchased a specific MB from them due to low price. After order, received a phone call and went through the same OEM/Retail upsell baloney that others have mentioned.

Received product in a reasonable time frame. Could not get MB to function. Based on further testing of all components and research, came to the conclusion MB was bad. (To be honest, I later found that it was a video issue, not a MB issue, but it still doesn’t affect my experience with the company.) Requested and received and RMA #.

Sent the MB back, and they received it six days after issuance of the RMA #. Sat on their dock for several days before RMA status was updated.

Received an email explaining their various processes for expediting RMAs. Each option would cost more money, unless you were ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE the part being returned was bad, in which case you would have to wait through their entire process. Not being confident of their testing process, and desiring to expedite the process, I was willing to shell out more money, and responded as they had instructed.

More than another week went by. RMA status indicated things had been hung up in accounting. I sent a request asking them to look into this. I received a response that my part had been returned.

I asked for a tracking number, additional charges, and clarification of whether I received a replacement or was getting back the original. I received a response with a tracking number and that I was getting a replacement, but no mention of any costs.

The new part arrived 26 days after sending the original part back. It was not new. How do I know? Because one of the MB mounting holes still had a screw in it, threaded into the brass lifter on the bottom side!

I was able to get this to work, thankfully! But I will never purchase from this company again.

"I ordered a motherboard processor combo. (asus+xp2800) & they tried to bribe me for positive feedback on pricewatch by offering free gift. well I emailed them and told them that I would only post positive feedback when I received my product. 3 days later, I get email stating order cancelled. They said they tried contacting my bank. They didn't. They also said they tried contacting me by phone which they didn't. When I asked why they cancelled order instead of contacting me they told me that it was standard proceedure to cancel orders for customers who's credit cards didn't auto-verify. I asked why they didn't really call me and once again he said it was standard proceedure to just cancel order since card didn't auto-verify. He said to just re-place order and to make sure to post positive feedback for them. What a crock. They want + feeback when they cancel your order!
Oh yeah by the way. I have ordered from hundreds of other sites with the same card with NO problems what so ever. They WILL cancel your order for NO reason at all and then try to make up excuses why it was cancelled. If you ever want to see your order, don't purchase from here!

"first off,please be aware that the pricewatch feedbacks are being bought with free accessories.i ordered a mb/cpu combo which included a syntax sv266ad mb and an amd duron 1.8ghz.the first call was to tell me that this cpu was not available "anywhere on the market",but that they would gladly "upgrade" me to an athlon xp 2000,which they said was a 2gig cpu!anyone who is familiar with amd's product line would know that 2000 is just a model number and the cpu is actually 1.65ghz.i did not know this but after his first attempt to upsell this slower cpu to me(18$)i told him to cancel the order. he then countered with an offer to give me this slower cpu for the amount i was already paying! after a little reasearch (on their own darn site)i called them back .again after threatening to cancel the order,i was "upgraded"again to the 2200xp 1.8ghz again for the same price.NOW,i ordered on fri.,got the first up sell on sat.,and during this call on sun. they tell me that the oem mb is oos and that they need to "upgrade" me to(wait for it!)the retail box.so even though they don't ship on weekends they somehow managed to loose all their oem's in 24 hours???he then does a flip flop and says i can get the oem. o.k. so i'm looking at their site again because by now i dont't believe a word they tell me and heres the combo i have arrived at (on their own darn site)for 8 bucks less!i called them again and the rep was kind enough to inform me that i already had this combo and there was no need to switch to this P/N for the same merchandise at a lower price!!!...now its in the mail and i'm scared to death about what i'm going to get at the door after reading these unsolicited reviews.that's not even the whole story but i won't bore you anymore ...die partspc die!!!"

"This should NOT be deleted as customers need to be warned not to order from this place...I cancelled my order before completing it due to the ridiculous number of 'options' tacked on my order. I was given the opportunity to remove most of them, but the implications are that you will be getting a substandard version of a product if you do (for example, for an extra $12, you can get the 'latest version' of a motherboard...what do they send you if you don't pay this, obsolete equipment different than the piece I requested? Oh, and this 'option' is selected by default.
Furthermore, once you wade through the several screens of "Are you sure you don't want this great and valuable extra-charge?", you get to a shipping page with utterly ludicrous shipping rates and a check box for 'rush shipment' (which states that they will TRY to get the item out the same day, no guarantees for your extra $7). My total, with all options removed, wound up being $14 more than the price listed on several price comparison sites...
Avoid this vendor, especially those of you who aren't positive what each little option means.

"The site itself wasn't bad. The product prices are decent (at least on the few items I looked at), and shipping is reasonable. Though there were an awful lot of extra options suggested for purchase when I bought a motherboard & CPU (enough extra options were there to build an entire computer basically), the purchase process was reasonably decent, so my opinion of the company was neutral.

The day after I purchased from them, I receieved a phone call from them, which went something like this...

SR (Sales Rep): Hello sir! I'm from PartsPC.com and you placed an order with us yesterday.
ME: Yes?
SR: Well, I just spoke with my manager, and he tells me that you've ordered a white-box OEM motherboard, model *he then gives model and specs of board, despite my attempted inturruptions to confirm I knew what he was talking about*.
ME: Yes.
SR: Well, you see, OEM white-box motherboards come without the CD, manual, and cables. These are included with the retail version of the board. This also includes a 2-year warranty. Would you like to purchase the retail version for $7 more?
ME: No. I don't need the extra stuff that comes with the retail board, and so I purchased the OEM intentionally to save on price. The CPU fan combo I ordered with it also gives my order a 2-year warranty.
SR: So you'd like to go for it then?
ME: No. As I said, I purchased what I wanted for a reason.
SR: Yes, sir, but if you purchase the retail board for only $7 more, you get the CD, cables, manual, and a warranty on the board.
ME: I already have a warranty on the board. Please leave the order like it is.
SR: Yes, sir. Not a problem. (hangs phone up)

Nothing is worse, in my opinion, than sales reps who try to sell you more after you've already ordered and won't take no for an answer.

I will never purchase from them again.

"Not a good experience from a consumer standpoint. Did not get waht was advertised on PriceWatch. ordered a Motherboard combo, with Retail fan/processor, and received OEM processor and aftermarket fan.
Too many options to add to your order that they want to charge you for ( heat sink grease, warranty upgrades, ribbon cables.) For the average user, they would not get Half of what they needed to get a PC fixed, repaired or built.
Will not order from again.

"After paying an extra $6.95 for shipping in 24 hours, it didn't leave their facility until late on the 4th day. After FINALLY receiving the parts, they sent the wrong CPU fan.

After 2 more days of e-mails, I FINALLY received a response, that said only that a fan for an AMD Socket A also fits a 478 Pin Pentium 4! And supposedly checked with their tech dept? I think someone needs a whole LOT of tech training.

"Thanks for contacting the service department. I checked and found that we
have sent the CPU fan which will either work on Intel and AMD approved
motherboard. I confirmed with the technical department. If you need further
help please email us back. "

Now, it seems I'm back to another couple of days to get another response. The warranties on all the other parts will be expired before I even manage to safely power anything up. If you don't like headaches, stay away from this company! Looks like I'll be paying for a second fan to get one locally so I can finish this PC.
