Low Quality replacement

"The original ice maker lasted 15 yrs and this replacement only 10 months. Seller only offers 90 day warranty. Find the original manufacturer replacement if you want the part to last a reasonable time. No savings if the labor to diagnose and replace has to be done over."

two day air fridge seal part order from partsdirect/"part advantage"/"reliable parts"

"I ordered a fridge seal online at about 3:45 am as the fridge in the house I rent is failing fast. So, I paid two day air (milk is needed), and I had hope that it would arrive in time only to find out that partsdirect turns out to have like three different names. On the phone with the guy first background says "reliable parts" and he informs me in the evening is when it will arrive and when I say that is two and a half days not what I paid for, I paid for two day air, no response. I then called back after checking my email AGAIN to find no tracking number still and got one from "Michelle" after having to ask her to speak up (no background noise on my end, so phone was clear and so was sound), she wasn't happy, neither was I. She gave me the number, I checked when it arrived in email and lo and behold, I ordered it on the 13th (my receipt is date stamped but not time stamped (great for part direct/part advantage/reliable parts), smart move on their part cause UPS won't refund after the reviews I read without a date and time stamp. I only have partial.
Just because they are cheaper than nearest competitor, does not make them better in this order. I lost $30 on worthless two day air.
This was a GE fridge by the way. Seal on the bottom of fridge has fallen apart and moisture is staying on shelves. Makes the fridge part basically worthless till that seal shows up.

Disappointed

"I Ordered a part on Tuesday evening and paid for "next day air" ($36.99) The part was to ship on Wednesday and arrive at my home on Thursday. Call Part Advantage on Thursday for the status of my shipment...I was told that my part was shipped "standard" and that it would arrive on the 14th of February (8 days after I placed the order) WHY????
Is this a real company?
I'm waiting to see if they reimburse the $36.99 I paid for "next day air".
Part Advantage...where's the Advantage. This is the first and last time I do business with this company.

"I ordered a part for my refrigerator, and they sent a replacement part without notifying me. I asked for a refund since they didn't send me what I ordered and they would only give me a credit. and that was after multiple emails where they tried to convince me the part was an exact replacement, and it was not. The package they sent me even had the replacement part sticker on it, with the part I ordered sticker over it. If they didn't have that part they should have told me so I could get what I paid for. That is what an honest company would do."

"A family member damaged the igniter system of a GE gas cook top on Thanksgiving day by spilling turkey gravy. On Friday (11/28/14) I ordered a replacement wiring harness after calling customer service to make sure the part was in-stock. The part was delivered on Monday (12/1/14) via UPS in excellent condition. The cook top was repaired and working just fine on Tuesday (12/2/14). Part Advantage sent a Genuine GE part (not some generic OEM part) which arrived faster than I expected. Overall, I am very pleased with the part quality, delivery speed, price and customer service from Part Advantage. I would recommend them for appliance parts."

"I ordered two parts from part advantage. One was a special order 7-10 days - although the site did indicate it was in stock. I received an email shortly after placing this order indicating that the part was ordered and would be shipped as soon as it arrived. I received the parts 7 business days later with no issues. Although some people have had a bad experience, mine was very good."

"I placed an order for two items one of which was a special order item (7-10 days lead time) clearly marked on their website. Within 24 hours I received and email stating that they had been ordered and would ship out as soon as the part was in. I also noticed that there was a mistake with the second item I ordered and customer service promptly fixed it for me and credited me with the difference. This is fascinating to me that in an era where customer service is a lost art Part Advantage went above and beyond and took care of the problem before it even became a problem. My best bet is some of the negative reviews on here are because the individual didn't contact the company. My advice shoot them an email and ask, they are very responsive and handled all of my needs by answering any questions I had and being upfront about the availability of items. My experience was fantastic and I highly recommend using Part Advantage."

"Part Advantage did have the lowest price, but they have absolutely no customer support. Shipping to Canada via UPS incurs brokerage fees of $57.25. I had to pay Part Advantage the 15% tax and then I had to pay UPS the 15% tax again. When I asked why their web site says there is a reduced brokerage fee of $10.00 and why I was charged $57.25, they said "they only ship via UPS and that all of the brokerage fees are my responsibility".

They have no desire to make their company better as not to charge people tax twice or mail items via regular post to avoid excessive brokerage fees.

"Part Advantage should rename themselves "Part Disadvantage"! I ordered a replacement part for my fridge, and before I even received it, I did some more diagnostics on my fridge and found out that I had ordered the wrong part. After I received it, I called to return the item for a refund. With the part still in the box, I was told that I could not return it because it was "used" now. How is it used if I haven't even opened the box? This company is just another unethical business screwing over its customers. Stay far away from these cheaters!!!"

"It looks like this company has a standad practice to charge for shipping once the order is placed. I had to call after waiting three weeks for my order and I was told they've sent an e-mail for the extra charge. I have never received an e-mail and it looks like they wait for the customer to call so can get the extra shipping charged immediately. After serving the good news for extra shipping, the lady on the phone immediately pointed out that their website has a note for oversized items. I would not recommend this company to anyone - bad communication and extra charges!"

"Advertised lowest price, with free shipping. After order placed received email...Due to the size of this rack, there is a freight charge of $32.00. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please call ***-***-**** so we can ship today. The part rack listed price was $57.99, selling elsewhere for about $90 with $7 shipping. Amazing how their low price matched others, once they tried to extort exorbitant shipping cost. Called and explained that there is no way that the light dishwasher rack could cost $32 to ship...they cancelled the order. Don't waste your time dealing with Part Advantage, their business practices are unethical and low prices deception!"
