"I was in the market for a HTiB, and PC Connection had the best price available for the Sony system that I was buying according to PriceGrabber. The free shipping on orders of $500 wasn't bad either, and that was what pushed me over the top to complete my home theater with a new Optoma projector.

The projector came in with no problem, but the HTiB was on backorder (which I knew going in, but the backorder was estimated to be 3-5 days). I called later that week and found out that the product would ship on Feb 16th, which was a 12 day backorder. It didn't come in, and I called again and was told it would ship on the 23rd. Again, it never came in and I was told it would ship March 2nd. I just now called, and was told that it would not ship until March 9th. I canceled my order, and am now writing this review.

Whether or not it was PC Connection's fault that the product did not come in is up to debate. What I know is that I only received one notice out of the 4 times shipping was delayed. I also found out that I was supposed to call them to confirm my order after I placed it -- they did not call me.

All in all, PCC has good prices and a nice, but incompetent, customer service department.

"After checking the prices at various online and local retailers, I decided to purchase via PC Connection using their standard delivery service.

Within minutes, I received an email confirming my order and that it was being processed; the next day, I received another email stating that my order was being shipped; on the third day, the doorbell rang: it was DHL with my order! That was definitely the fastest turn-around for anything I ever ordered, either online or via catalogs without paying for the extra shipping!

I would definitely consider doing business with this company again. Great prices/great service!

"I would give this store a higher rating if my luck was not that bad.

Long story and if you decide to read, please forgive me if I made grammar mistakes.

I ordered a 19" Hanns-G LCD monitor. The process was smooth and the shipping was quick. The problem happens when plugged it in, there is a bad pixel right at my eye level and it bothered me a lot. After failed to fix it with some stuck-pixel fixing sites and applications, I called the company to see what they could do. The answer is that I will need to call Hanns-G to get a case number before they offer return or replace. Hanns-G said that they would only treat if as a defect if it has 2 dead pixels within an inch or total 8 pixels on the screen. (Believe or not, this is cased on so called industry standard, and most retailers have stupid policies like this. You can google “dead pixels policy” and find many links about this topic.) Did not want to lie and have them void my refund/replace later on, I stated that is was only 1 pixel and Hanns-G rep just said that they could not issue me a case number.

I called the store again and said that I still want to explore what they can do about it although I could not get a case number. The rep was polite and nice and told me that he can authorize a one time replacement, but he stated that if I have very bad luck and get another “bad” one, I can’t continue to replace it for free. I asked if I can return it and he said he could authorized that but I would have to pay the shipping back. I agreed.

Got return authorization from Email, and I sent it in based on the instruction. The cost is 8 bucks.

I tracked the package, and kept an eye on my credit card transactions but did not see my 10 days after they received it. I call them again, this time the rep is a lady and she was nice and polite as the other rep. She told me that she could not see the receiving record in the system and it might because that they were too busy right before the holiday season, and asked me to wait another week.

I went on vacation and after two weeks, still no refund. I called my credit card company and learned that I still have plenty of time to dispute the transaction and decided to try the last time before I dispute it. I called again and the lady answered my phone was nice, but she still could not find my return. After she talked to her manager and got all the shipping information and tracking number, she promised that she or her manager will call me back.

The next day, I did get phone call from her manager. He was polite and professional, and after double checked the details about shipping, he said that he still could not find the item from receiving warehouse’s record and he said he needs to do some searching and call me back. About an hour later, he called back and said he will authorize the refund and apologized for the trouble I had. I got my refund within reasonable time.

Will I buy from this store again? Yes.

Will I buy LCD from online stores? No, unless they think 1 dead/stuck pixel is defect.

I still think it’s just my bad luck and this is an okay company to deal with.

"I previously ordered an item from pcconnection.com. I ordered 2 items from there, one was an item that I wanted to get because it was misspriced and it was very cheap which was a video game, and another item I got that I didn’t really want but the shipping was high, so I wanted to ease up on the cost a little. So I ordered this item, and place the order. A few days later, I received the item that I didn’t want that much, but not the item that I really wanted. I look at my account, and it seem like the order was never placed for that one item. So I called pcconnection 2 times, and both times, I receive different answers. The first call, they said the item was discontinued and couldn’t be shipped, but that is impossible because the item is not even out yet in stores. Then they said they are sorry, but they are going to send out the cancellation letter soon, but I was like it is a lil too late, can I send this one item I received back because I could just buy it at a local store of mine because it did cost me shipping and it did cost me tax because the company is located in my state. They were like ok, but I have to pay shipping to send it back. So, I said forget about that and hung up. So, I called again, pretend that I didn’t call before, and the other person told me that they canceled my order because they price match wrong, and they sent out a cancellation letter that same day. I told them I did not receive a cancellation, but they just told me that it went into my spam. But my spam filters and delete, but this was an e-mail that I don’t receive a lot of spam, so when I do, I do check if anything wrong got filtered in and I never received an e-mail of cancellation from pc connection, so I think this was a ploy to put the blame on me. Proof of this can be found at a blog I found on the internet of how many people on this site who bought the same item that said they have not receive a cancellation notice of their item being cancelled.

This site sucks and I don’t like it, there are many people I found at different places that had problem similar to mine, I can certainly tell you that I am never buying another item from here again. Their customer service is very annoying and belittles you, at least the 3 out of 3 I talked to.

"I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this company. This is my first purchase from them and I selected them due to their stated policy of delivering on Saturday. I bypassed less espensive companies in order to receive this item quickly, as I have important business that I needed this for. I placed my order by approximately 10 AM on a Friday morning. I selected the Saturday delivery, paying the premium. Nothing was shipped on Friday and when I last called them to verify that it would be shipped, the customer representative stated that 'it looks like it's shipping right now'. So, besides not adhering to their shipping policies, I was LIED to!!!!!!! Here is the portion of my confirmation email that includes the shipping info:

"WARNING!! BUYER USING REBATES BE WARE!
PC Connection lures you to buy from them with severe rebates (I purchased a 19" LCD for $240 with a promise of $120 rebate, 50% off!!). The problem is that they DO NOT HONOR THE REBATE!! It has been over half a year that I submitted the rebate and they still have not honored it. Onrebate.com (the rebate processing company) say that everything is in order, that all submitted documents are in order and they only need to mail me the rebate check. They have been saying that since July 2006!!! and then I called PC Connect and they said that even they (PC Connect) are no longer doing business with Onrebate.com because they (Onrebate) are not honoring the rebates (spoke to Melony at PC Connect). BUT PC Connect, even knowing that the company THEY chose to process their rebate is defrauding their customers, and that I purchased from them trusting their name and advertisement, they said that they are not going to be responsible for the rebates.:(

"First time I ordered from this store. After placing the order on line I received an email stating the item was back ordered. I called the 800 number and the person was very helpful finding the item in a different warehouse. I had the item in less than a week. Great customer service. "This is the 2nd item that I've ordered from pcconnection, and I must say that I'm very satisfied with their service. Before that my mom ordered something for me from this e-tailer. We had no problem recieving the package on time, and I've experienced no problems with the 2 items that I've ordered since. All 3 items were big ticket items, and so my faith in this company is unwavered even with their ratings being mediocre. I recommend giving this e-tailer a try if you find an item that is agreeable to your pocketbook. One of the nicest thing about this e-tailer is that items over 250 dollars will be shipped at no charge to the customer. Overall, I must say I am pleased with this store."

"Bought a 19" LCD from PCC with a $100 mail in rebate. The rebate company went silent, and PCConnection honored the rebate with a quick credit to my credit card, even though it was a different company's rebate mistake. Top notch customer service!"

"I read these reviews, and like an idiot decided to go ahead and buy from them anyway. I was a victim of horrendous bait and switch tactics. After arguing with customer service, they finnaly agreed, they had an "advertising error" and offered me a return. I dont want to deal with the hassle, so I'm keeping it, which means that their tactic worked. That makes me more mad than anything else. The point is, if they are the lowest price, dont trust it, shop somewhere else. Pay a little more for the peace of mind that you will get what you ordered. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...AGAIN!"

"I oredred an iPod nano for my daughter for Christmas. With the merchant rebate, pcconnection turned out to be the lowest price, and had free shipping to boot. The item arrved in a factory-sealed container two days later, even though I chose only the standard groud shipping. Overall, an excellent experience. "Incredible customer service! I placed an order with them for an Ipod nano and needed it shipped to a different address than my billing. They called me to make sure that the address was correct and upgraded my shipping to next day! Woman was very polite and very helpful!

I recieved the nano and it had issues right off the bat... I called pcconnection about it and in less than 5 min the rep gave me a return label and got my replacement sent to me. Now that's what I call incredible customer service!

"I do not understand why this store is high rated. My opinion it should be 3 or 4. I decided to shop from them when I saw the high rating here. what a mistake. They never honored the purchase although their website indicated they had the item and sameday shipping they cancelled my order the next day without explanation. Dishonest and unprofessional. "
