"Your company has displayed the worst quality of customer service and support I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. One mistake is understandable, but after speaking with you 6 times about the same problem, I would think you could get it right. Aparently I was wrong. After speaking with the manager about my problem I was told to refuse the order because he would rather loose the entire 500 dollar sale then refund me 25 dollars. After dealing with your company I have decided on three things. I will never deal with your company again. You are going on my website, discouraging any person who is thinking about dealing with you. And I am going to report you to the better business beureau. If you wish to stay in business, I suggest you treat your paying customers a little better."

"These guys are scammers. I order a 9500 PRO for almost 200 bucks. After 4 days of "processing" my order I get a call from them saying that they are going to have to downgrade my order to the Non-PRO 9500, but for no extra charge. "No extra charge?" A Non-PRO isn't worth close to that much. Isn't that illegal, bait and switch or something. When I tell him that I want to cancel the order the guy started playing dumb like he didn't hear me. Scam, pure and simple. Do not order from these clowns."

"I will never deal with this company again.

I ordered a white box 200GB Maxtor hard drive 3 weeks ago. The following day I receive an email informing me that the white box is backordered for 2 to 3 weeks even though their website indicated stock when I ordered. STRIKE ONE. To their credit the email offered me 3 choices: wait, cancel, or upgrade to retail box for $12.95. I responded the following day saying I would pay the extra 12.95 for retail.

They obviously got my message as I received an automated message on 5/16 with an updated invoice indicating retail box. On 5/19 I receive same email as 5/16... not sure why.

On 5/28 I send the following message:

Can you explain why this order appears to have NOT SHIPPED yet? You asked me 14 days ago if I wanted to upgrade from OEM to retail version so that it could ship immediately. I replied affirmative the following day. Then you have the gall to send me a customer service survey 13 days ago. I STILL HAVEN"T RECEIVED THE PRODUCT. HELLO???!!! Don't you think you should send me the survey around the time I should RECEIVE the product?
Fortunately, this item wasn't critical for me to build my new computer system. However, it is hampering my ability to finish a 2nd computer. A timely reply with a definite UP or DOWN ship date is hereby requested.
I'm holding off on doing the surveys mentioned because I sincerely hope this is an oversight on your part. If so I will give you credit in the survey for making a good-faith effort to correct this order.


On 6/3, I receive an automated message saying the order was cancelled. And if I really wanted the product I would have to initiate a new order

2698 Juniper Ave., 101A, Signal Hill, CA.

TUFShop.com and BZBoyZ.com are both at 2698 Juniper Ave., and share the phone number ***-***-****. BZBoyZ.com's site claims that they are a MicroX company, and MicroX has also been known as MicroXperts.

One comment here for PCRapids.com also notes that PCRapids.com's Terms and Conditions links to TUFShop.com (or at least it did at the time of the posting).

Before placing an order with PCRapids.com, check the comments and ratings for TUFShop.com, BZBoyZ.com and MicroX(perts). You may also want to check out TUFShop.com at the Better Business Bureau, www.bbb.org.

"I ordered an ATI Radeon 9500 Pro Reatil Boxed card from them because it specifically said that the card was manufactured by ATI. The package was shipped in one buisness day, but I had to contact Customer Support via email to get the tracking number. I got the package and realized that they had sent me a Sapphire OEM card. I immedially called their customer support line and got someone that said he would find out what went wrong with the order. He said he would call the warehouse that they sent it from (which happened to be ASI Partner, Inc, another lousy buissness partner). I never recieved a call from him. I emailed them saying that I would report them to the IFCC if they did not call me back. As soon as their offices opened, I recieved a call. It was on my answering machine and Neil asked me to call him back at ******. I did, spoke with him and came to an agreement very easily that he would arrange for UPS to do a call-pack at their cost. He assured me tat the entire amount that I paid would be refunded and I agreed. UPS came, and off the package went to California. Once UPS got it there, I recieved a call from a really impolite and nasty lady, Mary. She asked me if I had recieved my order (obviuosly she had no idea of what was going on) and I told her the whole story. She said that they did not accept UPS packages (red hot lie). I argued with her and we finnally reached an agreement that she would accept the package. She said there would be a 20% restocking fee, because she said they had sent me the exact same item that I ordered (another instance of her not knowing what was going on). I argued with that and she said that she had refunded the entire amount to my credit card and that I should see that amount in the bank account within 24 hrs. I did not see that amount, called back, said that the refund was going through their Accounting Dept. I said ok and let it go. I got an automated email saying that my card had been refunded and gone through the accounting dept. I called my bank and they had not recieved the credit. Called back, they assured me that the automated email system was wrong, and that I would see the credit at the very latest, in 2 days. It has now been 3 days, no credit. Called back and got nastly ol' mary again and she reapeated that it would take 72 hrs. to process. I got frusterated and hung up.

If I don't see a refund by Wednesday (today's monday, the day of the last phone call mentioned to mary) I will file a complaint with the IFCC and call the Signal Hill PD if necessary.

Also, PCRAPIDS has many untrustable business partners, ASI, Tufshop, BZBoyz, and Mid-Cities Computers. FIVE bad companies put together don't make a good company.

One last thing, DO NOT order from them even if everything on their website was free!! They do not even use a secure server when proccessing your credit card.

"When I ordered my "ATI Radeon 9500 Pro" video card, I did so because I thought I was getting an "ATI manufactured" video card. However, when I received the product, it was manufactured by FIC. The web site specifically says "manufactured by ATI". This is false advertisement, and I definitely will NOT buy from this company again! I give them credit for getting it to me within a weeks time."

"Prices were competitive on pricewatch.com but webite priced items differently as very common. When I placed the order I left a message in the comment area to that effect. Please adjust the price and freight per pricewatch.com, and take the $19.90 "Pre Test" charge off the order as I unchecked that option several times, only to have it added back in. I followed up with two emails and have yet to get a response. If in fact the adjustments were made and the order shipped I would characterize the experience as good. If the adjustments have not been made and the order not shipped because of that I would characterize the experience a bad one, as bait and switch always is. I hope for the former as these folks prices are right.

"I like the variety and prices of this dealer compared to many dozens I've seen. The visuals of the site are okay, however I think it runs a bit slow. Also, the order form failed to subtract the Price Watch referral discount from my order. (hopefully they will subtract this manually)
Despite this, I was impressed with the overall experiance vs. the typical online components dealers and plan to do business again in the near future

it sent me to a similar board than what I intended to buy, only a $5 price difference

also the auto-filled form toggles for additions to purchases is also problematic & quite daunting.

Example:
I didn't realise I had left ONE of them (pre-testing) selected, until after I had submitted my bill. I had thought I un-selected all of them so as to not be charged anymore than what I intended.

aside from fine tuning your sales links & shopping cart forms, the service was quite fair.
