"I first attempted to order a Slingbox Pro on December 1, hoping to give it as a gift come Christmas. PCPowerZone had the best price of online stores who reported they had stock and seemed reputable. Two days after I placed the order I was contacted via email and phone that they were out of stock of this item. Ken, one of the cofounders of the company as I have learned, told me that they would get more stock in on the 8th and my order would subsequently go out then. As I only needed it sometime before Christmas this was fine. Two days after this I was contacted again via phone and email saying that all stock of this particular item had been spoken for from the original distributor. Ken offered me the chance to purchase the item from another distributor at a price ten dollars higher than what I had ordered it at. This had the air of a bait and switch which was enough for me to balk on the order and order at another retailer (who was 6 dollars cheaper then what powerzone quoted me, shipped the day I ordered, and arrived promptly).

While this wasn't what I consider a positive experience, I was particularly impressed by the customer service I recieved throughout. After firing off an angry email about the incident and an overdraft on my bank account, I was contacted by Claudia, who while not offering any compensation for the experience did obviously take my concerns seriously. I have never worked with a company this proactive about its customer service. In hindsight I don't believe that PCPowerZone was trying to milk me an extra ten dollars but rather being honest about the limited supply chain and giving me an oppurtunity to continue my order. I will keep PCPowerZone at the top of my list for hardware/electronics etailers in the future; their customer service is beyond reproach.

"This is the second DLP tv system I purchased from www.pcpowerzone.com in the past year. Both happen to be the same brand. Ken gave me a decent deal, sold me a $5k tv for $3500 delivered. Great job guys! I'm already thinking about that plasma for the bedroom... hook my up a good deal. Thanks!"

"I ordered 3 items on a Monday Next Day Air and they shipped 1 wrong item to me that I recieved that wed when I called about the other items it turns out they forgot to ship them I requested it be shipped to me next day air and they did but again it was the wrong item. Thermatake CL-W0077 Symphany mini not the full size CL- W 0040 that I ordered. Its now Thursday and I am waiting for them to call me back. I have received nothing of what I ordered. I will update but it looks like they are going to just cancel my order and refund my money but I am out all this time and I cant get the unit anywhere else unless I pay 300 dollars in shipping costs. I needed this system up now not in two weeks. Bad customer service I think.

OK Update I am returning the items. Pickup is not free so I will drop off at the ups store.

Since you mentioned our company name and honesty. Honesty means allot to us at GBE Packaging. I was honest and I am going out of my way to return these items to the vender. When venders buy shipping and packaging supplies from us we guarantee the lowest price. I make far less than you would save so if you want to address our honesty we would just have to lol. If you want to pay a dime more per box well OK I'll feel punished. I will most likely still do business with you since you have supplies I need. If I were you I would worry about someone like me in your line of business. Im happy making half what you do selling other peoples products. You might want to remember without the customers you are just a cool web site.

11/15/06 update. OK I took the 70+ pound unit to UPS and shipped it back to the vender. I see their salesman Ken has a grudge. I am very upset at PCpowerzone. I didnt like the threatening emails that if I did not hurry and return it I would not get my refund. I waited for days thinking you had set up a pick up and again I was surprised to find out I had to do it all. Say what you want about me Im just the customer. I mention I might dispute this charge if you charge me and now I m stealing from you. Does your attourney know you are bad mouthing your customers and venders. You mentioned how Dangerden is terrible at shipping out orders and how Thermaltake products are not that good. We are dis honest which makes no sense because I order something and did not get it. Where is the honesty oh

I see you wanted me to not state my disapointment in return for future shipping and packaging supply sales. I see now that I told the truth its not gonna happen big guy huh.

I m a customer and Im disapointed, thats all and it does not require you to make a personal attack on me. You have done nothing to make me want to buy from you again and we have decided not to do business with you ever again. You win. We will pay twice as much from someone else.

How does this speak for PCpowerzone. I call to complain and Ken picks up and I can never get anyone higher up in the company. Is there anyone ?

I did not cuss you out I chewed your ass like you deserve. You cost me time and money and now you are bad mouthing me and my Business. I have to carry a 70 lbs. box with a bad back to the ups store.

In my business I get the job done I get results. People like you challenge me and make it so hard to get the results required.

You said I am only 3 hours away and how bout I drive down and we talk about it.
Oh yes was the offer to drive down and see me a threat. Are you gonna beat me up or something. In the way you said it it sounded like a theat.

Why else would you say that to apoligize and buy me coffee. I have posted nothing but the truth and am wasting more time now. Im sure you didnt mean for this to happen but the only thing i want to hear from you is how I was not honest. You never covered that. I really dont know what to expect from this guy next. Im just the customer and a confused one.

My suggestion to you is when you get the product give me my refund and Ill never buy from you again and you you can have a great life. Do not call me names and stop trying to defend your actions. By your own admissions you all dropped the ball. I had to call to see where my next day air box was 2 days later. Can you defend that. Its ok right.

"I dealt with the company's owner in selecting and purchasing a variety of Koolance water cooling equipment -- water blocks and Exos-2 external unit. This was my first venture into WC. He took the time to answer questions; he volunteered information that saved me hours of potential grief due to incompatibility. The staff at PCPowerZone are serious PC enthusiasts, not just salesmen. They have thorough knowledge of their products. In short, they use and back the products they sell. The merchandise was at my door the day after placing the order -- ground delivery! Excellent buying experience start to finish. Highly reccomended."

"Excellent purchasing experience! I have not bought anything from the internet in the past 3 years without extensively checking reseller ratings. I read a couple of negatives but they would apply to any internet company. I even called PCPowerZone after placing my order and they were very nice and answered a few questions for me. Packaging was stellar. I ordered on Monday 13 March and received the package on Thursday 16 March by regular ground shipping. I will definitely be coming back."

"My experience with PCPowerZone was all but satisfactory. Everything on their site said the availability was that it would ship in 24 hours; however, what they did not say is that they drop ship everything from the manufacturer. So when a part is on backorder as in my case you are not aware of it until you've made the order. What makes PCPowerZone worst is that they told me it had shipped along with everything else when in fact NOTHING had shipped. So when trying to track my order it brought up nothing, so I called and talked with Ken. He told me nothing had shipped because a part was on backorder (Gee thanks for letting me know) and that he would go ahead and ship the rest of the setup and that the other part would ship a few days later when it got in. Well that was 11/25, today is 12/11 and still no part. I have gotten more useful information from Koolance themselves, and apparently my part is shipped now but Ken who promised me a tracking number 2 days ago has not said anything to me. So I guess I am playing the waiting game and will see if something arrives at my door in the next few days. I definitely will not do business with PCPower again, lower prices is not worth being treated like crap. Customer service sucks, communication sucks, it's not worth the hassle at all."

"This is an updated review to repair some disparaging remarks that were made about this reseller. Overall -- their enthusiast selection is great and their sales staff is great in helping you ammend existing orders or in answering your product concerns.

One word of caution when ordering Koolance products (and this applies to any online vendor and is in no way a negative reflection on PcPowerzone) is that the parts are shipped directly from Koolance. In recent weeks they've had a significant number of shipping issues including missing parts, incorrect shipping methods or shipping the wrong parts. But as I said -- this is not meant to be a negative reflection on PcPowerzone as they did everything they could to correct the situation and ensure that I received the correct parts or refunds when appropriate. I would recommend them again in the future.

"Excellent merchant! I was in seek of an exceedingly hard to find water cooling component. PC Power Zone was one of two online merchants that listed it as available. "Purchased several watercooling components from here. This is the one place where you can find a Koolance 725BK for such a low price. "I placed an order on Nov 22, and 17 days later they finally told me they couldnt ship the product for another week and a half.

If you want to purchase from a store that says they have the product and they dont, purchase from here.

If you want to purchase from a store that makes you email them 6 different times before they tell you they dont have the product, then purchase from here.

I would never purchase from this store.

I would never recommand anyone to purchase from this store. Stay away

Ken was my point of contact, and I was very unhappy with his performance and this company.

Go to a different store.

"I purchased an Aerocool Jetmaster Jr Mid ATX case. It arrived at my door 3 days later, with no problems whatsover. Packaging was great, and the product was absolutely brand new with no scuffs. I will gladly do business with them again. Definitly recommend them."
