Awful Customer Service

"I recently ordered brackets from Organize-It with the expectation that they would be delivered in a timely manner (customer representative said the package "should" arrive on time when shipped via Fedex Ground). Instead the package was shipped through FedEx SmartPost, and arrived a full week later than expected (kitchen countertop had already been installed, so the brackets were no longer needed and returned immediately). FedEx SmartPost was never mentioned as a possible shipping option by the customer representative during our phone conversation. To add insult to injury, shipping costs for the brackets were not refunded because "a promised delivery date was not provided" per the Organize-It representative who responded to my complaint.

I understand that businesses can't control all aspects of the shipping process, but most can guarantee a general arrival time within 1-2 days. I've never been (mis)treated this way before by an online business. There have been delays in shipping, but all of them were handled differently where the customer and not the business came first. Amazon would quickly lose its customer base if they handled shipping & returns like Organize-It.

What should have happened is that the package needed to be held once it became apparent that it couldn't be shipped via Fedex Ground, and the package would likely arrive late per the tracking information supplied by Fedex SmartPost. I should have been notified immediately, so I could make an informed decision before the package was shipped (expedite shipping, cancel the order, etc.).

In addition, Organize-It needs to clearly state at the top level of their website that shipping may be significantly delayed well beyond the posted shipping times due to the use of a different shipping method (not buried somewhere within the site), and that Organize-It will NOT pay for return shipping under ANY circumstance.

I strongly urge all potential customers to stay as far away as possible from this sham of a business, and buy somewhere else. Caveat emptor or "let the buyer beware."

Horrible Customer service

"Ordered an item opened it tried to use it. Did not work as described. Sent it back and the claim since I opened it and tried to use it I am not eligible to receive a refund. Poor quality product! Horrible customer service!"

Terrible Company

"Ordered a step (4 stairs) for hot tub. I ordered gray and dark brown - they sent a tan and lighter brown one. it was also obviously used and repackaged. I called to complain and they simply said it was exactly what I ordered.

Beware of this company - they are basically thieves.

Buy somewhere else

"I ordered parts for a closet redo at an out of town rental. The next day, I received an email saying I needed to verify the billing address. I called 3 times and left 3 messages. They finally returned my call the following day and assured me that my order would be shipped immediately and I would receive it in 2-5 business days. It has now been 9 and I still don't have it. We scrambled to find the closet pieces we needed at a much higher cost and time lost on our project. When i called customer service, they said my complaint was with the carrier, not them. They did their part by shipping it. And if I want to return the parts I no longer need, I'll have to pay shipping and part of the order is not returnable. They refunded me 10% of my order cost. Geez. Thanks. I'm overwhelmed with your great customer service. I will never use them again. "

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE

"I ordered a set of 13 garment bags and when I received them, I couldn't use them because the zipper only went down half way, so I couldn't fit my multiple pant hanger inside. I tried to use them for a coat & that wouldn't go in either. I wanted to return them & they told me I would have to pay S&H again ($8-9). I already paid it once so my order came to $23.00. The item was $15,00. I called the Supervisor and then the Manager and both told me it's their policy for the customer to pay for return S$H even though it didn't state in the description that the zipper only went down 1/2 way. So, even though it was their fault, they said they couldn 't afford to pay for the return. It wasn't worth sending back, so I'm keeping them or giving them to someone else. I would have gladly paid for the return if it was my fault. Most organizations will pay for returns if they are at fault. I told them it was a misrepresentation & that it should be in the description. I will never buy from this company again."

The worst customer service.

"My much needed order was a no show. I sent an e-mail three weeks later over the weekend asking them to contact me about why it hadn't shipped and why no one made contact with me other then sending one e-mail at some point asking me to contact them about it. No one bothered to respond to me on Monday so I had to call them. They were full of attitude over their incompetence to contact me over an internal issue their system had. They have no appreciation of you as a customer or your business or your time. Give your money to companies that value your business. I had moved and something int their system flagged possible fraud because of a far away different shipping address. Instead of treating me like someone who may be in a new home and in need of storage solutions, i guess they assumed it was a fraudulent order, cancelled it and left me hanging with boxes full of unpacked clothes. So clueless on service reach out and their own systems sensitivities to error!!!"

This Company is a Scam

"First, they over charged me $20 for shipping due to a "computer glitch." Second, they sent me the wrong item due to another "computer glitch." Third, they charged me shipping to return the incorrect items. I was charged shipping both ways for the wrong item."

Worst customer service!!!!

I have been trying to get a return shipping label to send back an order. I've called 3 different phone numbers, and sent an email!!! Absolutely no response from anyone! All I get, is leave a message, which I have 4 times. I'm extremely upset! I wish I had read the customer reviews beforehand!! Buyer beware!!! Do not order from this shoddy company, god forbid you need to return something!!

"Low quality, off brand merchandise. Notice that they don' show the manufacturer of most of their products. Also found that the on-site product rating are bogus, they apparently don't publish reviews that point out product deficiencies.

I bought a few kitchen and garage organizer items - they are poorly designed, and look like off brand goods that failed in better known retail stores because they are awkward to use.

"Terrible customer service. Organize-it charged my Paypal account 6.5 weeks before delivering a box full of shattered glass. Will not refund. Cannot deliver replacement. Sticks to "we don't refund shipping charge" policy even tho they are incapable of delivering product unbroken.

ETA: Organizeit.com came through and did the right thing after posting this review on their FB page.

"Beware of your purchase!! I placed an order for a set of bed risers for $6 plus $6.99 in shipping. Yes, it costs more to ship which is what I was thinking "Hmmm, I guess that's where they make their money." Well, turns out they send you a SINGLE bed riser. Who is gods green earth is ordering 1 or 5 or 7? That is what I asked them when clearly I was livid after spending $12.99 on a single useless wood riser that would cost me $6 to return. They said people replace them, oh really, the wood riser wears out? Ok, I guess I should be thankful that I didn't get the other 3 for a total of $30.99. By the way they are available on Amazon for $16.49."

"I am extremely unhappy with both the product (a cedar boot shaper) and the poor customer service that I received from Oranize-It.
The product did not work as advertised (instead of shaping my boots the cedar wood shaper caused the boot to mis-shape!). The customer service person was cold and would not consider sending a free return shipping label (I already paid $10 to ship it to me) - even though the product was inferior.
Basically, I threw away $20 in shipping to have an inferior product shipped to me and then returned. I will NEVER do business with this company again.

"These people have terrible customer service. I sent a jewelry organizer back bc it was not the right size. Had to pay 15$ for shipping. When they received I was informed that it could not be refunded bc of the condition it was it. THE BAND NEW, NEVER BEEN USED CONDITION!!! (When I sent it I double wrapped it in bubble wrap btw) They wanted a cedit card number so that WE could pay to have them ship it back. My husband wasn't ok with giving a credit card number over the phone or email so we did not respond. Well....it just so happens that they THROUGH THINGS AWAY, ALREADY PAYED FOR THINGS after 2 weeks. Which we were NEVER informed of. Couldn't take 30 seconds to send an email??? I called customer service a couple weeks too later ready to give them a credit card number for shipping and was told "it went out in Fridays trash", and "there's nothing we can do". I asked why we were never told about the 2 weeks and could get no answer. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. If I can keep one person from buying from "Organizeit" I would be thrilled. Please take my advise. They obviously do not care about their customers. I could not get a coupon, a discount nothing. They STOLE about 75$ from me."

"NOTE: you pay all return charges and they charge a "restocking" fee, not noted anywhere. I got a partial credit plus had to pay for the return. DO NOT BUY FROM ORGANIZE-IT! History: Rec'd merchandise (hotel style towel bar/rack) promptly. It was defective - the towel rack bars were too short for the rack. Called per the number on back of invoice for an RMA ("all returns without an RMA will be refused") and was told they couldn't issue an RMA #, I'd need to leave a number and be called. Did that. two days later, no call. Called again, told the same thing. I protested that I was following instructions printed on their invoice. Person apologized but said since it was defective, they couldn't issue RMA (Invoice says "return for any reason" btw). Left number again, gave it a day, no call. Called again. Was told the same thing. Firmly stated that this was against their own printed policy, that I wanted an RMA and a credit for the return. They offered to take 10% off if I wanted to keep the product. Incredulous, I stated I didn't want a defective product. Demanded an RMA. Was placed on hold. 2 minutes later was given an RMA. I packed and shipped - at my cost - the item back. 2 days later, I get an email saying my new item has been shipped. I email saying I didn't order anything. The reply says it's my "replacement order" which I didn't make. I email stating just that. Fedex shows up with a replacement order the next day, which I refused. They finally, nearly a month later, credited me with 2/3 of the purchase cost."
