"NEVER NEVER NEVER buy from this company...I purchased a bird feeder for a birthday gift for a child with special needs. I ordered on June 11, 2023, emailed for shipping update on June 16th, no response until June 19th telling me it shipped on the 17th... Then received email that afternoon, "status change" shipped June 19th... I got it to late! Started return process, had to call for RAN # (Return Authorization Number) that has to be on the box for them to accept.. emails unanswered, after NUMEROUS calls they finally answered and gave me what I needed. The RAN # was written ALL over the original box it came in, shipped it back ($35) on June 28th, they received it July 5th... As of today (July 28, 2023) I have not received my refund, they have not responded to my MANY emails. I called, either busy or a recording "please call during regular business hours" (which I was AND numerous times throughout the day) or "please email us and we will get back to you within 24 hours".. That hasn't happened either! I have filed a complaint with Paypal (thank GOD I purchased through them) miraculously they seemed to have received a response, waiting for decision.. "
"This is without question the worst experience I have ever had dealing with an online purchase. My order was not a big or complicated order. I am now at 8 days since the order was placed and there is no sign of when it will ship. They do not respond to emails, their customer service phone is ALWAYS busy which leads me to believe it is off the hook. There is NO COMMUNICATION from them at all.
If there was a O rating that is what I would have given them. They don't even deserve a 1 star.

"I am beyond frustrated a with Oakridge hobbies. . I purchased a 40 watt transformer for them and when it arrived, it didn’t work. I contacted them on June 22nd and explained how urgent I needed a replacement as I was doing a video shoot for a client and it was holding up my job. After contacting Oakridge multiple times, it is now Aug 8th... and I am STILL WAITING!! I am beyond disappointed as I have spent hundreds of dollars with this company and not even an apology!! They obviously do not value their customers. "
"I don't understand the negative reviews at all. The negative reviews almost kept me from ordering, but I took a chance, because Oakridge had the Carrera slot car set I wanted, at the best price with free shipping.
Even though this was the Christmas season, my order was shipped the day after I placed the order and I received it 6 days later. The shipping packaging was very good and the contents undamaged. I would not hesitate ordering from Oakridge Hobbies again. Thank you Oakridge!

"I placed an order on March 31, 2018, and paid the ridiculous shipping rate of $7.15 for an item costing $7.99 because I needed the item sooner than I'd be able to shop for it locally (disabled). Even though the order was confirmed via email at 4am on the 31st, a shipping label was not created until 3:19pm the following Friday, April 6th!! The package did not get picked up from USPS until Saturday at 3pm! An entire WEEK to mail an envelope?! After sitting on the order for a week, the least that could have been done is to drop it at the Post Office! For $7.15 shipping I was expecting a USPS priority mail flat rate box, not a padded envelope costing $3.75 to ship (verified rate on USPS.com)! 90% of my shopping is online, and I will never again purchase from this company! "After about week from ordering I received my order out of 42 items I only received 37. The reason being 3 items had been cancelled because they were on back order and 2 items we not included in the order because they forgot to include them. First of all I was never notified of the cancelled items until i received my order and after I had called them about the missing items which were 5 total. After speaking they told me they would ship the missing items to me. A day later still no confirmation email on the missing items and no refund for the cancelled items. I call them back and the person I spoke with says she will process my refund and send me the missing items. (The exact same thing the previous customer service representative said she would do).. A day later still no refund or confirmation email. So I contact Paypal and open up a case. They respond telling me they would just send me a refund for all my missing items and not ship anything out to me... First of all, they should have shipped my missing items to me 2 days ago when I called them. 3 days later they tell me they still haven't shipped anything out, AND still no refund for my cancelled items. They should have sent me the refund for the cancelled items the day they sent out my shipment, when they weren't included!"

"Please do not shop here. Their customer service skills are horrible. My son and I went here just to purchase fuel for his RC car but the Drones caught his attention. He is 14 and is a caddy during he summer and has worked hard for his money. He wasn't sure if he would like the Drone so before he purchased it, he asked the salesmen if he could return it if he didn't like it. The salesmen assured us that as long as it was in good condition we could return it. It hasn't even been a week since his purchase. We went in this morning to return the drone because it doesn't keep a charge longer than 20 minutes and just wasn't fun. He was planning on returning it and purchasing an Electric RC car instead. The two salespeople (maybe managers) were very rude. They basically didn't believe that the salesperson had told us that we could return it and proceeded to drill me. They wanted to know how long my son expected the drone to keep a charge for. I answered that he didn't and that he is only 14. I explained at least 4 times my conversation with the salesmen and that we wouldn't have purchased the car if he didn't tell us that we could return it. They were confrontation and disrespectful. I told them that we would never shop there again and that I was going to give them a horrible review. They did return the Drone in the end but it was very uncomfortable and their attitudes was unnecessary and unprofessional. My son was planning on purchasing a 300.00 electric car there today. The Drone was 79.99. Not too smart. Find a Hobby store that appreciates their customer and have been properly trained."

Availability status on the web page has been repeatedly incorrect. Items marked as in stock had to be back ordered. Delivery time for back ordered items was extremely under estimated and further delays not communicated. Only after persistent inquiry the shop would admit that an item could not be delivered and agreed to refund.
However the full price has been charged to my paypal account right from the beginning.
Customer service line would not answer calls, but disconnect after a few minutes on hold.

"STAY AWAY! I ordered my son's xmas present on Dec. 1st, didn't hear a thing for over a week so I called on the 10th and they stated it should ship by the end of the week. That passed and then I recieved an email stating that the item had "just sold out" and it would arrive by xmas. They can't ship product they sold within a month!!! That is blatent fraud!!! "I get many of my paint by number kits from Oakridge. They have a big selection and carry the brands Schipper and Plaid which are harder to find. I have ordered a few times from this company and have never had any major issues. The orders ship out typically a day or two after I order and arrives in about a week."
"The website is nice and clean. I used their website to order an item online for store pickup. I called to ask them if I could because there was no option for it. They instructed me how to do so. I recieved a call in about two days letting me know that it was ready for pick up in their store. It was a good experience. I can order items from my home and have them ready at the store within a day or two."
