"Great experience all around. Placed order on Sunday, called up first thing Tues morn. and cancelled order so I could upgrade the tires I purchased. No problem.... New order placed, even w/ additional items, $10 shipping, across the country. Received everything the following Wednesday. "

"Dishonest business. Take your money elsewhere. Don't believe whatever they say.

1) Niagara Cycle Works posts items for sale, and in stock, that they don't have in stock.

2) Niagara Cycle Works accepted my purchase of an item and listed it as preparing for shipping. This was a falsehood as one cannot prepare an item for shipping when it does not have the item in hand.

3) After three days of preparing for shipping Niagara Cycle Works management says that the item sold out on Christmas Day. Yet another fabrication. Nobody sells out on Christmas Day - the slowest business day of the year according to VISA. How did they sell out of an item that they've been preparing for shipping for three days? And if this was the case why didn't they offer to substitute the same item in another color that they also listed as in stock? The answer is clear: because they never did have any in stock.

4) By their own admission the distributor for Lezynne has stopped transacting business with Niagara Cycle Works. Perhaps others as well. The reasons remain unknown at this time.

5) Niagara Cycle Works entered into a contract to provide an item to me under false pretences. Niagara Cycle Works placed a hold on my credit card. I required the item by a specific date but Niagara Cycle Works deceived me regarding the product's availability and delivery date. Now a week later I don't have the item and I don't have my money back.

I have been in polite communication with the management and staff of Niagara Cycle Works. But they have continued to be dishonest and perpetrate mistruths about the mythical items that they have in stock and preparing for shipping. These are deceptive and improper business practices according to the New York State Attorney General's Office.

I have been transacting business on line since 1999. I have almost 10 years of trouble-free transactions with Amazon and its Marketplace partners. This transaction with Niagara Cycle Works has without a doubt been the worse. Quite frankly, people don't normally lie like the folks at Niagara Cycle Works.

Have any lingering doubts? Why not read some of the other negative feedback that's been left for Niagara Cycle Works on Amazon Marketplace and Google? You'll see that they're not worth wasting your time or money.

And don't believe whatever Niagara Cycle Works posts in response to this. Their lack of credibility has been well documented here and exposed by others on the Internet.

"Oh My Goodness, I fell into the trap of ordering from this company before reading their reviews!

HORRIBLE Shipping policy, HORRIBLE Customer service. In accurate product descriptions!!!

The item was listed as long reach and the item they intended to ship was mid reach, I caught this and tried to cancel the order. They said they were sorry but it had already shipped. Sorry NO! The shipment was still marked as not shipped.

Amazon did the right thing and refunded the amount to my card.

STAY AWAY from these guys - they give online shopping a bad name!

"I ordered a Thule Hullavator. They had the best price for a new one at $400. That's an average of $200 less than most others. And shipping was free. That's impressive considering it weighs about 45 pounds. The web page stated it would take several days before shipping. I received it 8 days after ordering. More than acceptable considering the price I paid for a new item and free shipping.

The item is in new condition, and everything seems to be there.

I emailed back and forth with the store several times about this item first though, because the web page had a picture of the older model. They reassured me that it was the newer model, and even included in the email the updated picture to show me that it was the newer model.

Good experience overall. I would buy from this store again and would recommend it to others.

"I build bikes with 2-stoke engines, I live in a college city and this is a source of income for me. I had ordered some parts for a restoration before I read these reviews and I thought I made a serious mistake. What I can say is that the day after placing an on-line (Feb 2015) order I received a confirmation and within 7 business days I received my order, everything as expected. My first experience met all expectations & will continue to use them as a supplier as needed."

"Canadians beware!!! I ordered 2 pairs of red Chromag flat bike pedals from Niagara Cycle Works via amazon on December 2nd, as christmas presents. I live in Vancouver, B.C (Canada) and got them shipped to a postal outlet in Blaine Washington, which should have been cheaper than sending them to my house. I received notice that my pedals were delivered to the postal office on December 12, 2014. I made the two hour round trip to Blaine Washington, to pick them up. When I picked up my order, one pair was blue and I ordered red. As this was for a Christmas gift and I had limited days left to return this item, I immediately contacted Niagara Cycle via email and was told they uploaded the wrong item to Amazon's website. They said they would ship the correct pedals out as soon as they arrived at their warehouse and I would return the incorrect pedals back to them, when they arrived at the postal office. I made it very clear in emails which item I required shipped to me. I gave them the name and colour of the pedals again, so there would be zero chance of them making a mistake again. I even went as far as calling the customer service line to confirm my order. I received the order in Blaine Washington on December 29th (4 days after Christmas). I made the two hour trek again to pick up the right pedals and return the ones they had sent me previously. Upon opening the package, I was astonished to find that they sent me THE WRONG PEDALS AGAIN!!!. They got the colour right, but the wrong brand! I called the customer service line immediately, and spoke to a female (I think it was Danielle).
I explained what happened, she responded with '"I remember you". She told me to return to the postal outlet and ship them back yet once again to Niagara Cycle Works and ''we will take care of it''. At this point i was very agitated (raising my voice/not yelling) and told her that I was not driving two hours a third time to pick up the pedals that I originally ordered on December 2nd. I said either they ship the correct pedals directly to my house or refund my account. She again said they will take care of it, but would not explain what that meant. They don't have my address so they obviously would not be mailing them to my house. I told her this is ridiculous and I would be writing a review about my experience. She responded with a ''thank you'' and HUNG UP ON ME!!! I couldn't believe she hung up on me! What kind of service is this? It is not service! I called Amazon and told them the whole story and was advised not to deal with them directly and filed a claim. As it stands now, Amazon is currently investigating the situation and will refund my credit card. Amazon has been great so far, and I am glad I did this through Amazon and not through Niagara Cycles directly. I should have known better not to order through this company, as they have received horrible reviews in the past. I thought I would give them a chance. I will know better for next time, when a company constantly gets bad customer reviews, there is a reason for it.

"This store is as unprofessional as it gets. I placed an order and never received any shipping info several days later so I called only to be told they have a "4-5 day lead time". In other words they don't actually stock ANYTHING on their website. They are just a web based business that orders parts as they are ordered on their site. Then the customer has to wait for them to receive it before they can actually ship it. So they don't have "alternate warehouses" as they claim. If they did, they would just drop ship your items to the customer."

"This store is one of the most awful shopping experiences I have ever experienced. Purchased an item from them online but never received it. However, the money was taken out.
The worst experience is to call customer service. Some aggravated lady picks up and makes fun of your first name claiming they need the first name to verify my order. I gave her the order number three times but she kept raising her voice. Then she said I should hold for the 'supervisor' - which was another lady with a terrible attitude. The latter just hung up after making me spell my name three times.

It sounds like they employ illiterate and emotionally unstable teenagers in their customer service department . Good luck buying from them.

P.S. The 'michele d' comment on here is most likely written by one of them. lol

"Bought a basket from them and after a week it still had not shipped. Email inquiries were useless. Finally got a message from Amazon saying the item was not going to be shipped on time. Cancelled the order and they were slow about that too. These clowns have infamously bad shipping and have a well deserved reputation for being slow and flaky. I would not buy anything from them. I feel so strongly about this that I created an account on this site just to warn others. I advise you to avoid them.

UPDATE: The order was just now cancelled even though I requested they cancel it weeks ago. This seller has fail down pretty good. If your time is worth nothing then maybe the prices are worth the disappointment and aggravation.

"I purchase a tire and tube from this bike shop. March 5, 9 days later they still had not shipped. I called them and they said they would ship today, march 14. I complained that it took nine days to ship. They said they had blizzard one day. What about the other 8 days!!! Excuse for poor customer service. They they wanted to ship in one day and charge me 25 dollars more. Are they kidding, they should had shipped in one day for free at this point. Run from this seller!!! Brad S. "This is second time I ordered from Niagara. First time I placed $1150 order with Amazon on bike parts which included two items from Niagara,got all parts except Niagara items which they said had to be moved in from alternate warehouse,after a week or so canceled both items.
Gave them one more try,ordered item on 1-14-2014 and still not shipped today 1-22-2014. I will never order from Niagara Cycle Workes again,what a runaround business model.

"I ordered a CO2 inflator and received a three pack of CO2 cartridges instead. I wrote to explain the situation on Christmas eve. I did not intend to return the cartridges as I will use them anyway. I received a prompt response and Danielle M replied that they would pay for the return shipping. After assuring her that I was OK with the situation I got no more responses nor did I expect one. This is the only time I have ordered from this company and I would do it again. "
