"I had a negative experience with Newark as most people here. I ordered a few small electronics parts totaling $17.32. The shipping cost was not shown due to "some handling issues", I don't remember how it was worded but something along those lines. I didn't think much of it and decided to purchase the products. Ten minutes later I get an invoice for the parts $17.32 with $21.20 charges for shipping. I tried to cancel my order online but was unsuccessful. I then called but couldn't get to anyone. I then email their customer support asking to cancel my order. The customer support was only able to cancel some portion of my order ($4.35). So they charged me a total of $35.54 for very few parts and full shipping.
Unacceptable by today's standards. I will not be shopping at Newark. I prefer Sparfun where shipping rates are reasonable."
