"Caveat Emptor! I should have read the reviews first, but I was so excited to find something I really wanted for such a low price. I ordered on the 5th of December and the order ( which was not extensive ) was just shipped today. That is frustrating, especially considering I got no reply to a request of when it would finish being "processed". How annoying every time you check your account to see it still in processing almost two full weeks after you order. The low prices do not justify the poor service."

"OK. Let me start with the positive stuff. I used to live in the Denver area and shopped at Vitamin Cottage all the time. I love their stores! They have such great integrity - wouldn't even carry commercial produce. They have a great selection and their prices were much more reasonable than Whole Foods or Wild Oats. They were my favorite grocery/supplement store by far.
Unfortunately, their online service is not so great. Occasionally they have decent service, but usually it leaves a lot to be desired. I always request in the comments that they contact me if they have any trouble filling my order, or if there will be any delay in shipping, but they almost never do. I have had them wait 3 weeks to a large order because they were out of 1 item. And they never contacted me to inform me that they would be late, or to give me the option of shipping it without the missing item. When I finally called them to see what was taking so long, it was just a simple matter of removing that single item from my order, and they shipped it the same day. This would have been so easy to take care of sooner if I had known what the holdup was. I know they probably don't have time to call everyone when they have problems with their orders, but maybe they could put that information in my account information on their website.
All I know is, there has to be a better way. I always figure it will take at least 3 weeks to get my stuff from Vitamin Cottage/Natural Grocers, and I'm rarely wrong. It consistently takes 2-3 weeks. I recently placed an order on the 12th, they shipped it on the 21st, and I still haven't received it. Why? Because there was 1 item that they stopped carrying (although their system allowed me to order it), and it took all that time for them to decide to just ship my order without the missing item... I love the Vitamin Cottage, but they really need to become more efficient in how they handle their online orders."

I have had one product shipped incorrectly and the company was pleasant to work with on getting the correct item and their prices are great too! What more can you ask for?"
"DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS VENDOR: INCOMPETENT Ordered supplements to be shipped express overnight so food supplements would not be exposed to 95 degree Florida heat. Express overnight shipping is very costly by the way. Natural Grocers did not give shipping company correct address so the food supplements were left in a sitting in a shipping van over a weekend exposed to 95 degree heat, supplements spoiled. Called shipper and found they were given a bad address. Called Natural Grocers and they blamed shipping company. How can they blame the shipper if the shipper was not provided correct address? INCOMPETENCE"

"I am not pleased with Natural Grocers shipping service. I placed my order on the 9th of June and still haven't received it. They gave a range of 2-10 days for USPS shipping, and while I might have been irritated if it had taken 10 days to ship such a small order, I wouldn't have had to write a negative review about them. USPS didn't even process the order until the 17th of June, which means that Natural Grocers physically brought the package to them most likely on the 16th (or even the 14th). Either way, it was past the 1-4 days of when they claimed they would send out the package. "
