"I ordered a 5.1 Headset from ncix.com. The sales people realized after all the orders were placed that the set shipped with a european power adaptor. For a $100 headset, no-one wanted to pay an extra $15 for a new adaptor. Anyway, they resolved the problem by hsipping out everyone who had ordered them a power adaptor free of charge. I thought that was a really good thing to do. However that brings us to my situation.
My order was delayed a bit. So after it was processed I wanted to ensure that the power adaptor was still being shipped to me (I was worried that because my order was late they would've already shipped them all). SO I sent a message to their customer where I was told "The power adapter will arrive seperately but it has been sent out.". Well that was good.
Anyway, I recieved the headphones 2 days after the order was processed, but there was no power adaptor included. So, I sent the customer service person another message: " do u have a tracking number? I recieved the headphones today, just would like to know when the adapter will arive."
To which he responded: "Unfortunately I don't have a tracking # as we didn't actually invoice the customers for these so they won't show up in the tracking, sorry about that."
I was kind of angry at this. Now I have a power adaptor which I am waiting for, and no way to know when it's coming. It was shipped the same day as my headphones, but it didnt arrive the same day.
A couple more days past and I sent another message, this time asking him to check specifcally for my order: I have not recieved the adapter yet.
Can you confirm that it was shipped out specifically to me? On what day was it done so?"
He repsonded: "I sent it out on the 17th so you should receive it any day now, however because of the Christmas season I can't gaurantee that the courier will have it to you by the weekend as they are pretty backed up."
Ok, atleast he checked specifically for my order.
Now fast forward a week. Another message from me: "12 days, 6 business days, and still no apadtor. I'm starting to get frustrated. Which courier was it? Could you please get in contact with them to confirm the status of my delivery, or give me the information necessary (since there's no tracking number) so I can deal with them myself.
If it was shipped UPS there could be a problem. Last time I used them they couldn't find my house. I had to call them to give directions after 3 days. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case again."
Then a different ncix staff member responded: "another adapter is being sent out to you. Thanks for choosing NCIX, and have a great day! :)"
That adaptor arrived in a few days. However I never recieved the other one. THEY NEVER SENT IT.
How many messages does it take to confirm something has been sent? I know these were some special circumstances but come on! I specifically asked if they could check for my order, which they didn't do. Although I did recieve the power adaptor, I feel like I was misled (lied to) along the way. My exact worries from the start turned out to be true. And I had to send 4 messages (2 weeks later) for them to be acknowledged. That's pretty bad IMO."
