"Just awful "Mom and Pop" store! Scam! Fraud! I purchased shoes on 9/29/06. After not receiving anything in the mail after 3 weeks, I tried to call and e-mail the company. No replies to either after countless tries! Finally, when I sent a threatening e-mail, they said "oh, sorry. We cancelled your order b/c we don't have the shoes anymore." What is that all about?! How can you advertise to have something on the website, charge my card immediately without checking if you have it, never contact me to tell me you don't have it, and finally not give me back my money! I still haven't received my money back yet. I will be reporting them to the online BBB. (Better Business Bureau.) Their manager is "Jason." You are not allowed to speak to him on the phone, only through e-mail, because he is in the "warehouse," which has no phones. By the way, the company name also goes by longjohnsfootwear. Do no buy from either websites. You will regret it as I have and the other people before me. BEWARE! THIS STORE NEEDS TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS! ANYONE HAVING A BAD EXPERIENCE, JOIN FORCES, GO TO BBB AND REPORT THEM. "

"After calling the store on 7 separate occasions without successfully speaking with anyone, and after sending 4 e-mails asking about my purchase, I finally sent a final e-mail threatening to dispute the charge on my credit card. A few hours later, I got a notice that my shoes had just been shipped. This is A FULL TWO WEEKS AFTER MY CARD HAD BEEN CHARGED! and only after I threatened to dispute the charge.
They never even shipped the product until I threatened to cancel the charge, and the only notice I received was a DHL automatic tracking e-mail.
There is no customer service, and no way to check on an order's shipping status through their web site, though their web site claims differently.
The fact that they immediately charge you for your order and only ship it when you threaten to dispute the charge is a horrible, bordering on fraudulent way to do business. I thought that a credit card couldn't be charged until the item was shipped. Not so with myshoestore.com. There are plenty of other on-line retailers with free shipping. I'd strongly recommend you stay away from myshoestore.com.

"Stay away from this company. I had a terrible experience with Myshoestore.com or also Lord John's shoes. I placed an order and the order went through nice and easy. Then, ten days had passed and I called asking about my shipping status once I never received a shipping confirmation yet. When I got someone on the phone after 6 different attempts (no one answered), the girl was very rude and told me that they have within 10 days to ship them out. She said that August 22nd was a holiday for them and that would not count as one of the shipping days. I told her that this was unacceptable and that is not a Federal nor State holiday. Anyway, I did end up getting my shipment 12 days later. The item was exactly what was ordered. Here is where the real problem started. After I received my product and was able to put my bad experience behind me, I get an email stating that my credit card will be charged again because the cancellation that they said I did, did not go through. Well, here is where it gets confusing. I somehow got an email from Myshoestore.com telling me this and it was not my actual order. I had my hands on someone elses address and information. They got the order numbers confused and mistakely kept emailing it to me. My name was on this other person's order. I had to call them 4 more times to get this straightened out. Yeah, that never happened. I was rudely hung up on. They are very rude at this company and choose when they would like to answer the phone. I would definitely go with a different online service. This one had taken up my time and energy. Horrible experience. I would never recommend this site to anyone. BEWARE!"

"I had a terrible experience with myshoestore.com aka Lord John's Footware. I placed an order on 5/29 and received an email that my order would ship in 10 days or less. After 21 days I called about my order and was told that it was on backorder for 2 more weeks. I went around in circles with the vendor for 3 1/2 months being told every few weeks that my order would ship soon. I called today after 100 days and was told that they had cancelled my order. I called and asked to speak with a manager and was told that that the manager didn't have a phone and would only respond to emails. I've emailed 4 times about this order over the past 100 days and never got a single reply. Stay away from this company. My credit card was charged on the day the order was placed and I still haven't received a credit."
