"Ordered several resistors and connectors. Very competitive pricing. Excellent selection and easy to navigate website. Easy order placement. Had some difficulty with USPS shipping as Mouser adds a handling fee orders shipped by USPS. Customer service via phone and online chat were very helpful. On the second try I had them bill shipping directly to my FedEx account. Order arrived well packaged and quickly. Items were bagged and labeled. Although there was some initial difficulty with shipping, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Mouser again."

"Mouser upgraded the shipping on their dime to expedite.
They didn't have to do that.

Order arrived on time or early (cannot remember which,
but I always remember mistakes -- there were none).

This order was placed with Mouser simply because The
Other Guy didn't happen to have stock on at least one
item I wanted, and I didn't want to place orders with
both firms (logistics issue). I like The Other Guy, too.

I think I liked Mouser first, though (if that makes sense).
For example, I like their online catalog vended PDF model.
It's a neat idea and the first example of its kind I've
encountered. Oh, that brings up their printed catalog.
I think it is also intriguingly different from The Other
Guy's catalog (both are thick and quite frankly I have
only browsed one of them much -- the Other Guy's).

If you want a more informed opinion of Mouser look
no further than Lady Ada (google her). She's got a good
page on suppliers you should see.

Summary: Will shop with either vendor based on IN STOCK
availability. I have no biases presently on which of the
two I'd go with for any given product, but in-stockedness
comes first with me. The Other Guy did have a better
price on one item I needed 25 pcs for, but the price pt
difference wasn't a deal-breaker.

I like the name, 'Mouser'.

"Mouser did OK but not great on my first order with them. They have a good stock, including some things that Digikey, Jameco, etc. don't have much of a selection of (discrete JFETs and polystyrene caps come to mind offhand), and their prices are pretty good. My order was long--lots of different items in pretty small quantities.

In fact the order was too long for them, which seems pretty strange to me. Not long after I submitted it on their web site I got confirmation emails for 2 different orders. The customer service guy I talked to said that their system chokes on orders with more than 100 items (mine had maybe 105), so it got split into two separate orders. That would be fine, except that it meant I paid essentially double the shipping charge. I found that especially annoying since I had made a big effort to get every little thing I might need, to avoid having to pay $7 shipping just for a few odds and ends I forgot to order. And why is a company the size of Mouser using such lame software to process online orders? Someone there is clearly not on the ball.

There was also one mixup in the items they sent. When I called it to their attention they quickly sent me the right part, though. Their customer service seems to be fine, overall.

On balance, I'd say Mouser is fine and I'll probably order from them again someday. I'll look to Digikey and Jameco first, though.

"I highly recommend mouser for electronic parts. they have gone out of their way to make sure i was satisfied with my orders. you would think i order hundreds of dollars worth of components, when i have never spent more than 45 bucks at once! they have good prices, and very prompt shipping. "

"I've had 15 orders (and counting), 600 different items, many in small quantity, some in large quantites, I've used express shipping, and standard ground. Never a problem, never a backorder, always on time. I've very fast email back from cutomer service in less than an hour, my phone calls have been anwered right away ... by a real person - ready to help.
IMO Mouser is the way electronic distribution should be done, my old supliers will never see me again.

I ordered some transistors, opoelectronics, resistors and diodes. I was very satisfied with their online system that tells you what items are in stock and what items are awaiting replenishment.

Their lack of images for products online was an annoyance. I had to download their catalog in PDF format which is quite large to get an idea of what some of the items they offered looked like.

Despite that my order was put together and shipped the next business day and I got it in about a week which was fine for UPS Ground service.

"I ordered a few items and received them promptly by USPS as requested. I got order confirmation and a shipping notice by email. Parts were individually bagged and labelled.

The only odd thing was they charged $2.93 for shipping but the first class postage on the parcel is $0.83. So is that $2.10 for handling?

Prices are high on some items but no minimum order. No technical info on the website, so you have to find the manuf's datasheets.

Overall pretty good service, I would order from them again.

"This company is extremely unprofessional. I ordered a small amount of electronic switches to see what one I like the best for my latest case mod. I never received a confirmation e-mail. I e-mailed them and they sent me a tracking number. I submitted the number to find that they had shipped the package to the wrong town. The package was late arriving because of this and I opened it to find one of the parts I had ordered was the wrong one. I don't know that I would do business with them again.
They do have an excellent selection, great prices, and the CS rep got back to me within a day.

"Ordered some capacitors that I needed for a project that my local Radio Shack didn't carry. Ended up being 47 cents each, compared to one of the few other electronics stores in town that quoted me $2.90 each (ouch) and didn't even have them in stock. They just arrived today and they appear to meet my needs. Overall great experience, would buy from again if I needed to."
