"Good prices on most parts compared to digikey, but they are extremely shady as far as shipping costs go. My box weighs in at 0.4lbs according to their invoice, which according to their shipping estimator is $6.10 for UPS ground. I look at what I actually got charged, and the shipping was $9. According to their estimator, I could have gotten a 10 lbs. box shipped to me for just under $10 via UPS ground.
Unfortunately this is the correct rate from UPS, but I don't know why their estimator is so far off. I would have gone with priority mail....although that's shady too as they have some hidden handling fee for USPS shipping that they don't tell you about anywhere.
Go to digikey, a much better company, better selection of parts, what you agree to pay up front is what you actually pay, same day shipping, although a little more expensive for some parts.
Customer service doesn't seem to care at all about the shipping cost discrepancy."
"I have nothing good to say about Mouser.
I ordered a single 771-LPC2141FBD64-S ARM7 32KF/8KR/USB, which cost $8.88.
This is a tiny chip and can't weigh more than an ounce, more likely less than an ounce.
I was charges $16.88 total.
I was shocked and appalled. I nearly could have purchased a second chip for the price of shipping something that should have cost at most a dollar or two.
I will never user Mouser again, when confronted with the issue Customer Service beat around the bush. Not a good company.
JameCo and DigiKey are my sole sources from now on.

"I placed a small order for some capacitors due to the lovely "capacitor plague" that hit some of my older electronics. My initial order was online and went very smoothly.
About 10 minutes later, I realized I had forgotten about a motherboard that also had some bum capacitors, so I called and asked if I could add to my order. The very polite woman said that my order had already been processed, but she made a second and waived the shipping fee.
The products I received were packaged very well and were all exactly as described on their site.
Things went so smoothly with this company that I have since ordered replacement capacitors for my cooktop range, motherboard, monitors - and now I'm trying to find things to repair.

"Ordered a $479 B+K Precision 1672 triple-output power supply which arrived defective. The "master" side was DOA.
I immediately called Mouser requesting an RMA and was told that warranty repairs are handled directly by B+K and I would have to get an RMA number from them.
On the positive side: On my initial purchase, my shipping was upgraded from ground to 2-day air at no charge. That benefit is obviously negated by the fact that I have to now send it across the country for repairs on a brand new unit. Also, the unit shipped same-day. But again, worthless now that I have to wait for B+K to fix it."

"Excellent company! I couldn't have asked for better service. I wanted to build a small circuit and these guys had all the parts in stock (unlike radio shack who hardly carry anything any more) with good prices. I put my order in around 5pm local time and they shipped it out UPS 2day air the next morning - but I only paid for UPS ground.
I had one problem with the order, they charged me more than they should have for shipping. I got changed as if it were going to a residential address instead of commercial. I sent off an E-mail and by that evenning they had issued a refund to my credit card. I know it was only a $2 difference, but that was the perfect icing on the cake!
UPS provided fast and professional service to my address, I got the package on time. Everything in the order was correct.
