"Paid $110 for a custom shirt. The shirt came a month late from China. It was made of a very cheap fabric and does not fit. Their return policy is a total scam after you make the purchase. I ended up buying a Van Husen shirt and took it to a local tailor to get hemmed. In the end it was much cheaper, even after if paying the tailor $60. Next time I will support the local guy. Modern tailor is a very low quality China grade product. They should be ashamed to sell a $5 shirt for $110.

"I purchased a suit from them. They added an additional 4 inches to the suit jacket and said that is normal. Customer service is very poor or any at all. They will give you the run around and then offer you credit. Why would you buy from them again if they messed up the first. I will never buy from them again."
"ModernTailor doesn’t stand by its product. Good luck if you have a sizing, shipping, or quality issue. They’ll give you the runaround for about 2 months then stop communicating with you altogether. My new suit was stuffed in a Small FedEx package, torn apart by Chinese customs, then taped back together in a ball of cloth. Suit was damaged by shipping, the color/material wasn’t consistent with online description, sizing/fit had issues, and thoroughly disappointed with low quality material. ModernTailor made no effort to correct any of these issues. Not one. Their customer service makes commitments to correct with no follow through. Poor quality material + poor fit + poor customer service = DON’T BUY! "

"For first time users. Send in your "Best Fitted clothes". I do not attempt to measure myself....i took my best fitted pants and shirts. Moderntailor keeps record of that clothes size and return your original cloths with your new order. Wala problem solved.
I just simply find new materials and they use same measurement....and boi does it fit like a glove."
"Modern Tailor's customer satisfaction guarantee gives a potential customer assurance that they will make things right if they find a fault. I provided detailed body measurements as well as several photos. Before production, modern tailor reached out to me for additional measurements and for additional photos. I gladly complied. Although the shirt I received fit me well in the chest and waist, the arm sleeves were comically loose relative to the slim fit style of the torso. I felt like a I was wearing an outfit shirt for a Renaissance Fair.
I kindly reached out to them, they requested me to measure the shirt multiple times and provide photos. I supplied everything they asked for and more. After long breaks between communication and following up with them whenever they seemed to drop communication, they offered to send me a trial shirt if I paid for shipping AND committed to purchase another shirt at full price + shipping. They asked me to commit to an additional shirt when I was not yet satisfied with how they determined the sleeve width based on my chest and shoulder measurements. I had to push back and they decided to send another trial shirt where I just pay for shipping. Due to the thin nature of their fabric, I ultimately decided to just give up on them move onto another online tailor. "

"I tried their intro plain white shirt to see if I liked the product. While the shirt fit 100% perfectly, the ultra thin fabric was nearly translucent, and the cuffs and collar look like a different color than the rest of the shirt, because of the extra layers of fabric.
They offered a replacement, and I selected a different color. While not translucent, it suffered from the same two color effect, because the fabric is so thin."

2. I sent in measurements from a shirt I own. After about three weeks I received a shirt from some Chinese carrier that was about 3-4 sizes too small hahaha. I am just glad that it was only $19.99 + $16.00 for shipping. So I am only out a few dollars. I am telling myself a nice kid in China got my money. "
"Not blessed with the tall and skinny frame, I found it impossible to find clothing that would make me look reputable. I never thought this service would work really so it took me a while to take the plunge and just bought turtlenecks made of elastine + cotton to look smart. But with the less than $60 shirt, I took the risk. It was a chore to get my measurements right. Took 3 tries and lots of email threads. After 5-6 weeks I got my shirt... 2 weeks for those back and forth emails, 3-4 weeks for the shirt and delivery. So anyway I ordered one and after 2 months I ordered again. I so far only have 5 shirts within 1 year ... and I hope I can buy more and try their pants soon too. We'll see. I think this service requires patience to get the measurements right. Then a few risky fabric choices here and there. I guess I could have been more conservative on the fabric choice but if I were going to have the shirt custom made anyway, I wanted to make sure it's a unique shirt so there you go. Highly recommended. If you do not have creativity and patience, this is not for you. Just buy from retail stores. But when it comes to price and quality and the fact that I am willing to invest in the process anyway, this is a great option for me."
"Modern tailor customer service was very poor. My shirt came back a little snug, and their half chest measurement was a little small--1/2 to 3/4 inch. The shirt was simply to tight and uncomfortable.
Granted I was a first time customer, and the price of the shirt was already a whopping $89, I believe they should have attempted to remake the shirt at little-to-no cost in order to make it right. They would not do that. Instead, they offered to make me a new shirt for $60. If they would have made it right, they would have had a future customer-- as the quality of the shirt was on par with the price I paid.
In summary, because of the slow turn around time and the poor customer service, I would not recommend anyone buy a shirt from Modern Tailor."
"Moderntailor has a really bad cutsomer service that just decide not to answer if u are emailing them about mistakes they made. I sent a shirt for measurement with tracking accorind to tracking they picked it up yet after 18 days they picked it up and 5 emails they are not responding to my emails"
