"For $1650 I got a Linea bar cabinet that arrived in good shape, but was so poorly made that I thought they had used old wooden milk cartons for the wood. You could see the dozens of zig-zag seams made to glue various different types of wood pieces together to make a large enough piece to serve as a cabinet side and top. The stain on this inferior wood was runny and splotchy. It took me days to get someone to email me back. Sales (Option 1) hangs up when you use the words "return problem with customer service". There is no one who takes accountability for the product quality or return policy. I am now left with a request to return the very heavy piece of furniture back in original condition/original packaging. The original condition I can manage, but the packaging will be professionally done by my shipper. However, I am concerned that without the original packaging they will deny my refund. The piece was advertised as a quality piece of furniture. Modern in Designs boasts of easy returns. I have ordered thousands of dollars of furniture from reputable sites like West Elm, All Modern and Design Within Reach and am very disappointed with this seller. Well, got to get back to calling. I am trying to escalate my situation, but fear that there is no one in charge. Buyer beware. "

"Unhappy with product, customer service and delivery turnaround.
Ordered an Arc lamp for $495. It arrived with a defective critical part. It took multiple calls, messages and emails to get a response for our request for a replacement part. We were assured it would be expedited to us. After more calls and emails, we find out that the part wasn't expedited. Instead, it was sent by ground service and won't arrive for at least another week. Purchased May 19th, crossing our fingers the part will arrive June 10th. Two weeks with a lamp that can't be assembled.
A design flaw I can accept. Poor customer service I cannot accept and certainly not at this price point. They could have had loyal customers. There are several pieces we were considering. This is one and done. Never again. Disappointing experience."

At first I was a little concern about order such an expensive product online, but after speaking with modernindesigns friendly customer service reps, they ensured that I will love my Eames Lounge Chair! "Unable to reach customer care as they do not answer the phone. The message system does not even state the company name, it sounds like a voicemail that was never set up. Ordered the Noguchi table 6 days ago. Was finally contacted back today only to be given a tracking number that does not exist according to Fed EX. They also ran a check via my address just in case the tracking number was incorrect and verified that they had no packages being sent. I am starting to question the other reviews I have read and the legitimacy of this company as the BBB has never even heard of them."
