"I had looked around online for a fast, reliable place to order an AceKard 2i from and had done some business with Modchip.ca in the past. I saw they carried it, they were quick to respond to my questions and the pricing was amongst the better prices I found in Canada for this item. After searching for reviews, i found this site, saw mostly satisfied reviews and a couple that confirmed Modchip.ca sells originals products and not bootleg, so i placed an order for 3 Acekard 2i's and 3 micro sd cards, order placed at about 4pm on a friday (December 10th), recieved the order in the mail on Monday Dec 13th. Other than local pickup one can't ask for faster service. Card's were all original and exactly as ordered. Due to exams I had to wait a few days before I had a chance to get them set up, but can now confirm all cards work perfectly. I have and would recommend modchip.ca and will order from them again."

"After a successful order and delivery last week, I decided to place another order yesterday some some DS Carts. After ordering the carts and selecting overnight delivery, I received a email from them today which stated that my items were 'preordered' - which confused me because I did not 'preorder' these carts, I ordered them and received a email confirmation from them which stated that they would ship within 48 hours.

When I followed the links they provided me on my email, I was disgusted to find the 'terms' of their website included a $20 minimum cancellation fee + 10% for every order over $100. Disgusting. My $400+ order would, according to their terms cost me +$60!!

So tonight I sent them a email to the email address provided on their website ****@**** After typing this email, I received a response stating that before I could email them I had to 'register' my email address. Ridiculous!

This is my second order with this website. My first order was successful, but after reading some of the reviews on this site, I'm sure I wouldn't order from them again! I'll update this review as this ordeal develops, I'm hoping for a successful purshase, but doubtful that I'll get my carts before Christmas. (which was the point of my order.)

"Absolutely perfect as always. Some slight confusion due to a duplication in the order, and item still arrived on a Monday after being shipped on a Wed, all the way to NB. Service so great i dont mind paying for the COD option! Keep up the good work!"

"Do not do Business with these people. Check the better Business Bureau Canada they have an F rating. One of the complaints was mine. I ordered 2 modclips freely available on their site even today. This is their response after my card had been processed.
We are out of stock on game shark would you like stealth elite instead which is more? Also if you do want to upgrade would you like it to ship when breaker pro arrives. Thanks Rob. I said no when will you get more in. No we will not if you know somebody who can solder I would go that route as stealth elite is a great mod chip. Thanks Rob Again i said no because i wanted what i ordered.
Anyways If you cancel an order even if its their fault.. they charge you $20 for "fees". Bait and switch BS... I am interested in filing a class action lawsuit against this company. If you have ever been told an item that was available on the site was unavailable or out of stock please get in touch with me. If you have been charged fees for things that were not your fault. Wow i thought this review was taken down. You have been trying everything to get it removed. I got an email saying it would be removed because i copy and pasted your emails... i didn't respond so i figured they took it off. You are right, but as of November 30 2010 when the review above was written... you did have an F rating. I will be calling the BBB to let them know my complaint was not resolved, so I hope you were telling them lies... and so the readers know.. The line "custom is not rational" is not a mistake. had he said "customer" I would sue for liable... not slander as his "legal department" thinks. LOL As a bother for you for bothering me more.-----> He really hates it when you contact the BBB, so if you have a problem, contact the BBB Canada. Follow his link to get there directly. :-) He will also say that people have been fired because of whatever you are mad about. "Rob" was supposedly fired because of what happened to me. In my opinion this is just a scare tactic to make you feel bad, and no one was actually fired, but he hopes you will go away because of it. As a little advice to people who may be going through the same thing i did. If i could go back to just after I had made my purchase and found out they did not have the product they advertised and i had paid for. Then saw that they would charge me $20 to cancel my order. I would call my credit card company and report the transaction as fraudulent. Tell the operator exactly what happened and that he is trying to charge a fee if you cancel. Tell them that no charges should be accepted from him to your account ever. This is not illegal, you did not receive anything from him. Why should you have to pay him for not keeping his inventory updated? Him advertising a product he does not have is in violation of the Competition Act of Canada. If you are really mad you can report him to the competition bureau.

"All the bad reviews are true - these guys are good at taking your money and running. If you've got a defective unit, expect to pay a "testing fee" for manufacturing flaws! Absolutely, positively, stay away from this reseller!!!

9/14 - Ordered 2x CK3 Pro's + other acc. totalling ~$200
9/16 - Received order
9/19 - One CK3 works great, the other errors out loading drivers on 3 different comp. Requested RMA
9/20 - Shipped out defective CK3
9/21 - Reseller confirms received it

10/1 - They finally 'test' it and claims it works, but they want $25 for plugging it in. I ask them to re-confirm, as the other CK3 from the same order works flawless. In any case, I tell them to charge my CC on file and if it doesn't work, I'll expect a refund

10/6 - They ask for payment again even though I told them to charge it to my CC from this order. I make a manual payment via their online system. They call in the afternoon to confirm payment, but I ask if they've reconfirmed the CK3 and they said they would but not until next Tues. due to holiday

10/12 - They reconfirm it works and suggest changing the COM port in JungleFlasher (pointless since it doesn't even load the drivers)

10/14 - Received CK3 back, it still doesn't work on 2 friend's machines as well - a total of 5 comp. Rather than waste time asking the reseller again, I do some research and find that others are having the same issue and must find older drivers from other user's links; this works, but since modchip.ca had no clue this was an issue out of the thousands they've sold and took a month to test it, I request a refund. Their response from Chris?

"Your upset with us for testing times? how can we test if we have no unit that needs to be flashed to test it on ? Did you think maybe the problem is not the device but your computer?
If the drivers are not loading on the computer why did you send it in for testing the device?"

Clearly Chris doesn't have ANY clue on what's going on; the CK3 does have an issue and I've had to find a workaround to get it working. I tested it on 5 different machines AND have the other CK3 from the SAME order to confirm this. The bigger question is why did he say they don't have a unit to test it on - does that mean they didn't test mine and charged me $25 or do they only "test" these when they sell a unit that requires flashing and make a triple-profit!??? Either way, I'll be filing a claim with my CC company if this isn't resolved in a week.

10/15 - These guys are also bipolar; Chris tells me he'll do an exchange & refund the test fees. I agree as long as they test the new one and refund me for my shipping costs. Less than 2 hours later, we're back at waiting for the factory to confirm that the CK3 I have is defective before any refunds are issued. Guess what, it'll be hard for them to do that if I have the defective unit in MY hands.

THANK GOD for VISA - they are willing to dispute the WHOLE order, but I will give these guys a chance to refund just the defective, the testing fee, and one of my shipping costs. Otherwise, they can have it all back.

"I don't even dare to buy from anywhere else. I had also bought a ck3 about a year ago, I received it in perfect condition, service was fast and they got it out just in before christmas eve.

My last order was an AVR, I had it preordered, the moment they got their shipment,it only took 48 hours to get there with express shipping. Once again it came in a nice package and in perfect condition. I am reluctant to try my luck anywhere else due to the fact I had great experiences ordering from there. Customer service is top notch, I asked a question for this item, I got an email about two hours later. I didn't even expect an answer that fast.

I highly recommend modchip.ca to any who are looking for a reliable place.

"I was highly impressed with the customer service. I had ordered a Gameshark item from them along with my Stealth Elite. The Gameshark ended up being out of stock and they contacted me the same day and gave several options including replacing the Gameshark with another Stealth Elite or a refund. I opted for the full refund. The Stealth Elite was received in a timeliest fashion as one could expect when ordering on a holiday weekend.
All in all I was very happy with everything and would-and probably will-do business with them again as well as recommended them to others.

"After searching over 30 sites for a particular item I was hoping to buy, I finally came across this site.
What instantly stuck out for me with this site was the worldwide shipping, something I needed since living where I live has little to offer regarding such products. On top of that, out of the very few sites that offered international shipping, this was the one that did not cost ridiculous shipping prices for its' items. For example, the item I wanted was about an ounce in weight (without exaggeration)and it only cost about 7/8 dollars for shipping (it was international after all) while the others were charging 35-40 dollars for regular international shipping. Even better, this site shipped out on a Saturday and I received it in no time at all.
By far the most impressive site I've shopped at regarding its' services and costs. I have it at the forefront in my mind, ready to recommend anyone I know who needs such items, to this brilliant site!
